Actually that Rock and Chris Pratt footage was misleading. The rock was actually talking about Taylor Swift song "Bad Blood". While Chris Pratt was talking about the cartoon Jem and the dating thing was a joke. He was talking about how he use to date his sisters Jem doll when he was young. So nether one of them was talking about the movie.
I feel like the absolute, worst crime *by far* that this movie committed were the "testimonials" from the fans. They _lied_ and had excited fans of the original record their videos in response to the ACTUAL SHOW...and then turned around and edited them (badly) so that it looked like they were praising THIS heap of flaming garbage. In one of the scenes, you can see the _show_ on the effing TV in the background. Like, it wasn't enough to just shit on this show, you had to shit on the hopeful fans, lie to them, AND shame them? ...Is there a rating higher than "Fuck You" yet?
The best parts about that was there was one girl who was dressed as Pizazz but in the continuity of the movie, Pizzazz isn't introduced until the end teasers so no one knows who that was. Then they had the fan art where people used the 80s designs. When you look at Shana, there was art of her in her original fro and dark skin....and then you remember how they made Shana look in the movie and it pissed me off even more.
Jem (the 80’s SHOW) was a fun show that my mom watched in the 80’s and I watched it on DVD in the early 2000’s and my friends love it too! Heck we did a Jem and the Holograms group cosplay for Florida Supercon, I can proudly say that OUR COSPLAY was more faithful to the cartoon than this movie!
The clips where people said that Jem inspired them to be themselves from the movie were fans of the cartoon who were told to help make the movie by talking about how much they love the cartoon and the studio edited it to look like they were talking about Jem from the movie.
This movie was pulled from theaters after a couple weeks, it was so bad. Not even Ghostbusters and Pixels had that happen to their films. Think about that.
Everyone who were kids of the 1980's have a feeling that mostly 80's cartoons could turn into live action movies that no one else heard of. I was thinking about Inhumanoids could turn into live action movie to be on the big screen some day, hope it could be introducing younger men who are in their 20s that don't know what Inhumanoids is.
wow never believed I would say this but this one animated show from my childhood that I would rather have Michael Bay direct it because at lease we would have had a better synergy then this dollars store bb8 sure Bay would find a accuse to get Victoria Secret model to play Jem , the Holograms and the Misfits but he would have sold the big time international music star more and he would have brought some of the action that show had with more crazy explosion but still would have been a better movie they just didn't try at all to make a descent movie
I didn't mind it at first, I mean, it was Universal that was making this and I trusted them last year because they've been doing so good that summer(with Furious 7, Jurassic World, Straight Outta Compton). But then I saw it in theaters, (okay, first the universal logo pops up, which I didn't mind) when the Blumhouse logo popped up, I couldn't help but go, "FUCK!!"
You wanna know a bigger insult to injury? In the movie you have those real life people talking about Jem, guess what they are talking about the CARTOON. The makers of this movie made a video asking people to talk about what they loved about the CARTOON and they would put it in the movie. And instead, they put all those videos into the movie to make it seem like they're talking about the movie Jem.
Sadly, no. The lady he struck died. What made it worse is that he returned to scene of the crime, and then denied involvement in the incident. Even worse than that, it was a white woman. You know how things go down in TX and the rest of the south. There's no way he's going to get off light, even if it was an accident. And all because he had a late night craving for a good burger. All we can do now is hope for the best.
Ok one thing for sure if my sis put me online singing without my permission after I go viral from my singing, I’d be then going viral for committing murder and the mystery of “what happened to my sister” would become a major talk
