This is great i am part of the Sunset Church of Christ in Miami, and we are all one united in God and make it to praise as best as we can even if it involves dancing or clapping
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
I think it is dangerous to extrapolate those things designed for the Lord's day assembly to things outside of it. The examples patterns and commands we obey on that day are what we have for that specific time of corporate worship. When we put those elements on activities outside of that, it is often a means of controlling others. While good intentioned, it robs others of their joy in the Lord. These young people are fired up for God. I wish more of us were. Ephesians 4:29. Let's build up, exhort and teach in love and stop tearing down God's children.
I have a lump in my throat just watching and listening to my young brothers and sisters singing to the Lord. I may never see you in person, but let's all work to meet at HOME. From the Maseru Church of Christ in Lesotho, Southern Africa.
Be mindful of Acts 17:25... He is not worshiped with men's hands, and in Eph 5:19 we are to sing and making melody in our hearts to the Lord. A melody is a tune, voice, or line, is a linear succession of musical tones that the listener perceives as a single entity. In its most literal sense, a melody is a combination of pitch and rhythm, so if your rhythm is manifested in the form of clapping, you are in error in your service and praise.
Amen, bro.; let’s not forget that all we do has to be rooted in scripture and not the world. Deception is oftentimes alluring and emotional, lacking scriptural references with authority in reference to the covenant we are under and a sober mind to make the correct choice in reference to our worship.
This is OK...it is *not* in the context of the organized worship service...it appears to be an impromptu singing where one person starts to sing then others join in.
Love it love it love it. You young people are our future and you are on the right path. Fourth Avenue Church of Christ, Dallas, TX

I was with the Smithfield congregation for a young Preacher's speaking. I was "surprised" by the audience applause for one minister, B. C, and Verse?

@@groovychick26 you’re going to the old contract between God and man to justify acts that have no authority in the new contract between God and man.

You are correct, although this is also NOT praising God, so you cannot derive anything good from this other than a common show.
cult of christ!
How sad that many have turned from the old paths...instrumental music nor dancing was never allowed or commanded by God in His New Testament.
Huh?
