i feel bad for the fanbase going through years of pain in the playoffs, with the owner not even giving a damn about them. (and you can't include how stingy John Fisher is, considering he doesn't spend a lot in free agency)
they didn't necessarily do a lot of work this offseason but i do agree they're being slept on. cole ragans is going to be a monster on the mound and they have a solid young core that started to blossom at the end of last season. i think they should be higher like #15 or so with the potential to climb even higher

@jordanwhite8567 I'd say they've done a lot of work. It just depends how effective it was. They are tied in 3rd for most signings this off season, with signing 8 new players to a major league contract.

This is based on 2023, per rankings. Pirates and you show Cruz, and then rank them in the dregs? Step back and look at what the pirates built and will field, this year for the 1st time. THEN look to it's 3 "in the wings" prospects, assuming you didn;t watch the Spring Breakout games. I have not been a pirates fan since Barry Bonds was a pirate. But Suwinski, Cruz, Reynolds, Henry, Termarr, TRIOLO, I mean...they are flat out stacked to the gills and 5 of those guys will play this year with 2 of them only playing in less than 20 games last year. Add in the BEST pitching prospect in the last 5 years, Paul Skenes, and MAYBE>...MAYBE they can struggle along. Thier pitching is MEH, overall. Sure, Chapman and Bednar, but all of the hitting in the world wont help if your starting 5 give up the nuts when they pitch. So Skenes coming up will help a lot and I REALLY wish Jones was further along. I think Tucker was a bad choice of money spent and Clevinger would have been better money spent, but im a fan, not a manager :)
I’m sorry imo but this list is pretty bad. Rays lost some major pieces I feel like more like 15 pirates I feel they should be like 22 nationals seem a tad low
