This was suprisingly good, they even started with the problems i had when i started out. I had way 2 much addons as i was using a lot of them for pve and " Good looking Ui" which took away a lot of my Awareness on the field. These days i hide about 70% of my skills and only have cooldowns Pop up when they´re ready. The only time i show my skillBar is when i learn a new class and doesnt know it very well.
@@Baylo thanks but I know about this add-on already hehe. I ment the colors used in the UI frame. It looks like a script in some sort but I'm not sure how to do it.
What do you recommend for showing your own cool downs and buffs easier. New to the game and switched to brewmaster tank, and looking for my brew cds is really not convenient
Hey, is there any way to focus enemies even if an ally is between me and the target? like, if the stack up, to prioritiza the enemy... I am having a head ache with that on mystic dgs
Everything about this was great, but don't use Recount or Skada, they're both known for having flaws and disparities in their DPS calculation - use Details instead.
Yep we second this. Most top players are using Details now - including Mystic who produced this video (bare in mind that this video was produced back in March 2017).
Can I ask about using action bars addons? I stopped using them because every pvp player plays with the default UI, but my OCD likes having 3 rows of action bars on top of each other (F1, F2, F3, F4 > 1, 2, 3, 4 > S1, S2, S3, S4) plus it looks less cluttered than the default one. So is Bartender big nono or like even a little yes yes?
I think most pros keep the default wow ui for the most part because that is what they have to play with in WoW tournaments since addons are not allowed.
Suisiders bingo, this is real reason. Many pvpers at high rating who don’t play in tournys are still using Elvui, if you don’t think your going to blizzcon to plays 3s go ahead and use elvui if u want lol
Talking about the simplicity of pros' UI and lack of addons is such a poor argument. They are not allowed to use addons in competitions, so they just try to not form a habit of using them. The only addon they sometimes use is gladius and that's about it. Please do some research before making these kinds of videos.
This was helpful to a degree but the statement of not cluttering their screen is contradictory. "Cluttering" is subjective, but in almost ALL the examples you can see a players heealthbar on the screen THREE DIFFERENT times! That is crazy, why on earth do you have someones HP bar displaying three times.
This video is bad. It mindlessly emulates pro players who have UI's designed around Tournament restrictions and a desire to make something easily transferable from one PC to another. A lot of these pros are also stubborn and refuse to dive deeper into addons because they feel it can be seen as a weakness or that they are good enough without them so they would never include some crutch that might be used as criticism against their accomplishments, but that in no way means the addons aren't a benefit. There are just some UI elements that are undeniably worse than addon replacements, and a lot of pros never use the addons for whatever reasons. That doesn't mean that just because they are really fucking good at the game, that their rationale behind addons is actually correct in terms of min - maxing performance in game. If they took the time to dive deep into those addons, they would perform better with them. For example, when pros keep the default action bars at the bottom of the screen, that's objectively worse than using addons to track CD's. When they use the default Player and Target healthbars and buff/debuff windows attached to them at the top left of the screen, that's objectively worse than addon replacements. They might perform better than other players regardless, but they would perform better than they themselves currently do if they also actually invested a shitload of time into customizing their UI with the various tools the community has produced.
Turn on projected textures in the graphics settings as well!

SkillCapped Pro WoW & LoL Guides massive video great for me as I'm coming back to wow and had forgotten about omnibar
Seanhousehead Badass! That's all we can hope for, glad the content was able to help you!
You have your videos to link your viewers to "skillcapped.com" which is a "parked" webpage on GoDaddy. Did you need a web developer?
Apologies! That was a typo in this video. Our website is www.skill-capped.com
guys this is not a LoL video, but it is in LoL channel
This was really informative, and it answered most questions I was confused / concerned about. GJ!
Do anyone know the name of the addon or weak aura in 2:23 next to the stopwatch. I have tried to find it for a while but no luck so far.
Might be too late, but it's "trufigcd"
This is extremely useful to a new wow player like myself. Great work there and thanks for it!
WHAT IS YOUR ENEMY NAMEPLATE (healthbar) AT 7:08

make your own Weakauras, to track everything important. best way, NEVER use others, you get lost really fast and are reliant for them to update things

@@Baylo thanks but I know about this add-on already hehe. I ment the colors used in the UI frame. It looks like a script in some sort but I'm not sure how to do it.
In arena championships there are defensives and offensives icons next to enemy nameplates. How can I accomplish this?
What do you recommend for showing your own cool downs and buffs easier. New to the game and switched to brewmaster tank, and looking for my brew cds is really not convenient

Do you know what addon was used at 6:20 for the player unit frames?
DC Gaming might be Easy Frames after researching a little

can we exspect more guides on an regular basis now?
Yep! We've got guides for WoW coming out every Monday and Thursday from now on.
Love these vids. Thank you so much!
I downloaded xperl and hit 2800. Weird.
Question: With omnibar, how did you make it so you have a countdown timer text over the cooldown? I can't find a way to set it. Thanks
Amazing! Thanks guys! :D
How do you click away from a target if you use sticky targeting? Don't really want to hit esc everytime.
TAB

Unless you're a tournament player you can use whatever you want. There are alot of gladiator and even rank1 players who use action bar addons.
Excelent!
What is his nameplates ? looks normal but bigger
Interface options - names - show bigger nameplates
Great video
HOW DO U MAKE THE ACTION BAR LOOK LIKE THAT I WANT IT PLS OOOO;
Why not just Elvui for profile/skins and then just disable arena/certain frames?>
I think most pros keep the default wow ui for the most part because that is what they have to play with in WoW tournaments since addons are not allowed.

good work keep up
i would love to know what's the name of your font? plz
I found the font, it's called Prototype
Nice tips, but it should be mentioned this ui guide is mostly for pvp/arena only -_-
Ty for help
The best and the most informative video I've ever watched. Like and subscribe from me!!! Keep it up!

Only for PVP-.-
