First name is Mary Wilson lmao how did you keep a straight face. I've been horribly ill recently and your videos have absolutely gotten me through bad times. Never stop!
I hope this year is a better one for you! I fully intend to continue, though I'll be uploading videos less frequently following Sunday's made-up-millionaire vid - only because I have some other projects I want to pay more attention to, and the duration of the next scam call/millionaire source material means they will take a bit longer. The weekly upload routine I ran through Autumn last year was a good discipline but it didn't leave much free time for anything else. It's important to keep things fun!
Thanks! Scammers are often very arrogant, and they get to the sunk-cost stage where a call has gone on for so long that they feel they have to keep going because the win is almost within reach.
Can you imagine if your bank actually admitted to employing criminals who pass of your personal information and didn’t seem to care?! 😅😅😅 Not to mention, “Shut up and listen to me.”
The times are hard. We can no longer afford white collar high profile crimes. So as every penny counts, we are selling customer's data and trying to salvage chips from old cards.
At last a native english scambait. Loved it. Well done for getting a reportable money mule address, and keeping character to the very end not revealing. Thus leaving this mother toad frustrated and confused whether he was dealing with a real victim. 😅
Thank you! I think I accidentally got put on a contact list of vulnerable elderly victims (my fault, I gave a somewhat advanced age to a scammer running a "survey" call a few years ago). This means I receive a lot of calls designed to separate older people in the UK from their money. I'm not one of the pro scambaiters who go out of their way to phone up scammers, I just answer an incoming call if I can spare the time. And you're right, my preferred outcome is one where the scammer wonders what the hell that was all about, and may not even realise they have been fooled.
Great to see you back again, Major and Benji. Happy New Year and best wishes to you both. I'm not sure if I should hope to see more of you in the new year because it sounds like I want you to get more scam calls - which I don't, but I do. Thanks for all the years of entertainment. See you on the other side.
Thanks Mr Robby! Unfortunately most of the current calls are call blockers and white goods warranty mis-selling, neither of which offers a lot of scope for entertaining videos. It's rare to have a call that goes quite as well as this one.
The Wilsons are one of India's greatest family dynasties, tracing their heritage back centuries, if not millennia. The Major often adopts Peter Wilson as his non de guerre when dealing with Scammers, for confusion's sake, having borrowed it from one of their number.
It's certainly an approach worth trying! According to The Major most of his irregular employment has been in his capacity as an adventurer, often in Foreign Climes, occasionally escaping spear-wielding tribespeople following some minor infraction of a sacred law or two... But I'm never sure if his tales are *entirely* truthful.

The "fraudulent department" was the only true thing he said.
What - you mean his name isn't really Michael, either?
Hilarious. I can't believe he kept going thinking you believed anything he said.

Customers have had things their way for too long! The Security and Fraudulent Department is leading the fight back!
Nice to see you again, Major, nice!
Good game, good game! Higher, higher? Oh, lower.

Ah, a proper scambait.
Thanks - you can rest assured that The Major would never stoop to anything improper.

@palimpsest2011 it's you who makes it entertaining for us. Often imitated, never duplicated. 😊
Scammers love the surname Wilson. I'm sure every scambaiter channel has a "Wilson" in their videos.

How many last warnings was he going to give you 🙄I’m so glad you outsmarted this idiot 👏🏽
Far more than I expected! Me too!
You should have told the idiot that you used to work for the bank but you are now retired

35:29 I would have thought a reasonable bank employee would be happier with a smart customer 🙄
Y'know, I'm beginning to think that Michael might not have been from Lloyds Bank after all.
😂😂😂😂 the Major is funny
Thank you. He tries his best!
If you cut the card, we won’t be able to catch the scammer. Well Michael, we already knew who is the scammer is. That’s definitely you Michael.😂 😂😂😊
Michael would be deeply hurt to hear these baseless accusations!
