Listening my parents argue always make me smile, they never fight about us, or finances or things like that. It's just my mom saying "Tomato isn't a fruit" and my dad "well, it has seeds inside", "so avocado does" my mom replies, then my dad answers "honey..." And she gives him that killer look. Love them
Something that always makes me smile is listening to my partner ramble on about something he loves. How excited he sounds and the look on his face can bring a smile to my face even after having an awful day ❤
honestly I wish someone could listen to me that much, being so patient and appreciating my interests regardless of whether they like it or not. however, it’s great to see your partner and you are doing well!
Yes! This! My little autistic brain is so happy when people let me ramble on.even when I go "oh sorry I'm rambling, you probably hate me" they make sure I'm ok and say I can ramble as much as I want.these people are the best kind of people to keep in your life
He talked about Yugio for 45 minutes, I listened patiently and would ask question every once in a while so he knew I was actually listening to him and showing interest. I could've listened to him talk all day, just being with him makes me happy.
I strained my voice recently and am currently recovering, needless to say I had a lot of fun just gesturing out cheering and silently clapping and smiling and trying not to laugh for the sake of my throat. I love seeing Robin cover the more wholesome subreddits, he absolutely deserves to get to do this more often!
Jack Gleeson's real credit as an actor is how much of a normal dude he actually is. I second the kudos to him, she's a looker and they both seem very happy.

1:47 That's why I always enter in pie-eating contests, and then just eat a few bites. After all, you can always just take home whatever you don't eat, and I'm not saying no to free pie. Sometimes they'll even let you take home the extra pies if they have less people sign up than they have pies.
I work in a restaurant and it can be hell dealing with so many people blaming me a minimum wage employee for things that couldn't possibly be my fault and it always makes my day when I have a nice table even if it's simple things like talking to me like a person I appreciate it which is why I always make sure to tip well and be kind to everyone I meet you never know what's going on in someone's life and a simple smile or a wave can make their day
The last one brought me to tears and was beautiful. I lost my little sister to brain cancer in 2020. And the memories I have shared with her, I'll take to my grave. ❤
I survived 3 near death experiences in the span of 2 years as a junior high student, one because of hyperthyroidism, another one from thyroid storm and another one from dengue. Now I'm Senior High School student at a hard to get into school, I'm proud of myself.

That last one is painfully beautiful and bittersweet. Lost my aunt and grandfather to cancer. My mom could be high risk and technically by proxy me too. I’m terrified of death, but not as much as I am terrified of losing my close family, friends, or boyfriend to cancer.

Glad to see it's perfectly possible.
What I love about EmKay is that the team are T like other channels- watch the video and pretend to like it. Robin, especially on happy subreddits, hosts his videos incredibly well! He is able to add on so much to a simple post and really has a talent to connect and give you a smile. His style of commentary is so fun and bubbly it’s almost impossible not to watch to the end! Keep up the great work everyone!
my own r/mademesmile from today: a regular came in today and told me that "you (i) am a delight and when he sees me as a cashier he knows he is going to leave with a smile" in any other context that may be creepy, but he is a man in his late 80s who as problems hearing. we write on a pad back and forth to get his exact order right (I do this as extra company, he gets the same thing every time) he is so sweet and I dread the day he no longer comes in every Thursday at 1pm. my boss later told me he lives alone after surviving both his 2 children and his wife...my heart shattered.
As the guy who, goes to work every day, and picks up the trash at my work first thing in the morning, before collecting carriages, I work as a carriage guy at a grocery store, the story at 5:55 made me smile brightly. Pick up after yourselves people who leave trash everywhere!
Not a parent, but 4:26 is amusingly relatable to me. I’m old enough to basically volunteer to do drop offs and pickups for my younger sibling to to their school. Back then a few years ago, they would just text me a potato emoji if they wanted to be picked up. 😅
Jack Gleeson is one of my favorite actors. He was absolutely marvelous at playing Joffrey, and after noticing how well his performance was, I no longer hated the character. His performance was just so amazing I couldn’t hate Joffrey, even if the whole point is to hate him. I’ve never read A Song of Ice and Fire, but I guarantee you that it was Jack’s performance that truly made Joffrey a captivating villain, and the source material was only a fraction as evil as Jack’s rendition. It takes a good actor to bring a character to life, it is far different than words on a page or lines in a script.
6:11 every time my family goes to the beach, we bring bags to pick up trash. We aren’t the only ones. We see lots of people doing the same. I love that people are trying to make a difference… even if it’s like emptying the ocean with a teacup, people are still trying.

I just finished the third and got one of the top five scores and another free game with like 2 minutes before the movie started, so gave it to a kid. God, I miss pinball!
2:12 growing up in another country and seeing kids in America complain about school lunches I assumed that crap was free lol. To see some of the crap that gets served and then finding out kids we’re paying for that is insane.
2:27 it takes about 2 and a half months to get a pilot license to fly airline transport, which is the longest time it takes to become any pilot. Also, the airforce has different planes. I assume he's flying transport, while most airforce planes are military jets which hold only 2 people. You'd actually be very surprised on how easy it is to get a pilots license and how early. You can get it at 17 but start training before that. It's actually pretty interesting and you should look into it a little more!!
3:06 this would help us so much! My stepdad has diabetes, and it would put so much less stress on him if he had access to insulin that's $265 less than what he normally pays.
That 1998 no phone thing...I remember being 6 years old. Walked home on my own, let myself into my house and was there alone, for about 30-40 minutes before my parents got home from work. I would always stop and pat the horses in a field on the way. It was nice being so free. Then an attempted kidnapping happened and NO-ONE was allowed to be alone to and from school.
It depends on the definition. 2:04 wait what?????? This is actually mind-blowing to me. Our country is shitty in a lot of ways, but never once did I miss out on school lunch/dinner all throughout elementary~secondary education. It's free, even the food they serve at private schools, so I just vaguely assumed that every country was the same tf TIL

5:31 There are only 2 actors in the world who play a believable machiavelli Villian and still be adorable, thats Peter Stomare and Christoph Waltz, but that doesn´t count really I would say, they just obviously love it so much to play the bad guy that you believe them the bad guy but you also absolutely don´t believe this guy is evil. For everyone else counts the rule "if they hate you, you played the villain good." (unbelievable that i once thought wrestling would be a fake fight sport and not Theatre played by only stunt men.)
Before cell phones. My mom didn't give me a time to be home. All she said was make sure you're home before the street lights came on. That was around 93' 94'.
Today, I dressed up as a bunny (for Easter) I put on make-up and made sure to not ruin it by crying during therapy. I was very anxious about being the only one dressed to match the seasons' holidays. But the smile on that one coworkers' exhausted face made it worth it. She's been having a rough time, and even though we joke around, it's the widest smile I've seen on her face since I started working there. Everyone liked it, but her reaction is what made it worth it.
2:03 I can't believe America is such a backwards 3rd world dystopia that something like this is praised instead of being the bare minimum in the first place. It's like that story when a kid paid off the lunch debts of his other classmates with the media painting it as a wholesome story when it's really not. It's honestly sickening how a kid even has debts in the first place.
2:05 nice to see that more schools are doing this, but the headline is not true about it being the first. The school district I went to for Middle school in 2016 (in a tiny town in Texas that had a population of less than 1000 people) gave free breakfast and lunch which was a part of some sort of government order. The only things you had to pay for was soda and ice cream
at 3:26 i can see levothyroxine (100 mcg) sticking out of the tray! it's kinda sad that i recognised it on sight, though also expected since i have to see that box (or one that looks very similar) every single day. the only good thing to come out of needing them is that i get free prescriptions for life so ig you win some, you lose some.
Always remember you should always celebrate the victories in life whether it be big or small Edit: Also just found out my science grade is 103 percent and i am ecstatic
I didn't get my first cell phone until senior year of high school, '04. Man, those things, plus the internet, changed society in ways that cannot even begin to be described. I sometimes miss just being "off grid" from time to time. Truly unreachable.
2:36, There are schools… There is the college method and there is the personal lessons. The Air Force has you have a college degree in Aviation before you can fly, and personal lessons cost way too much for average people to learn to fly. I’m luckily I’m going to a college that teaches flying next year so the school budget is great.

at 3:26 i can see levothyroxine (100 mcg) sticking out of the tray! it's kinda sad that i recognised it on sight, though also expected since i have to see that box (or one that looks very similar) every single day. the only good thing to come out of needing them is that i get free prescriptions for life so ig you win some, you lose some.
I don't think that's sad at all but still, keep your head up.
Always remember you should always celebrate the victories in life whether it be big or small
Edit: Also just found out my science grade is 103 percent and i am ecstatic
I didn't get my first cell phone until senior year of high school, '04. Man, those things, plus the internet, changed society in ways that cannot even begin to be described. I sometimes miss just being "off grid" from time to time. Truly unreachable.
2:17 Where I live I also get free lunch( and breakfast too!)and I cant understand why it would not be offered
0:13 not just kids apparently, but even I can't smile and be photo able. Instead I had to make myself laugh.
2:36, There are schools… There is the college method and there is the personal lessons. The Air Force has you have a college degree in Aviation before you can fly, and personal lessons cost way too much for average people to learn to fly. I’m luckily I’m going to a college that teaches flying next year so the school budget is great.
Lunch was free in maryland for quite a while, until Covid slowed down. It went from $0.00 to $2.75.
