    This is what it was actually like!
    【Nine Hours Hakata 🇯🇵 9h
    * The self check-in machine was difficult to use.
    * Many people ended up calling staff, resulting in manual check-in.
    * When you request a receipt, you will be given a small handwritten card that seems to say goodbye to digitization.
    * The rooms, toilets and shower rooms in the hotel are very well cleaned.
    * The capsule numbers on the floor in the guest room area were bald in places.
    * The lounge was so quiet and relaxing.
    * Someone had set the alarm at 4:00 am and I was woken up.

      We have them in major airports. Well something similar at least. They’re little roughly 10ft x 10ft rooms with a small bed and tv. You can rent them by the hour or in 8 hour increments. I had an overnight layover due to an evening flight cancellation at DFW and rented one for 8 hours. It was nice to sleep in the airport and wake up the next morning, walk out of my little room, go grab some breakfast and walk to the gate.

      Huge difference between US and Japan being raised with respect and manners. They keep it very clean as a service and users respect the space and leave it almost as clean as they found it. Something as simple as removing shoes is just what you do with no thoughts about it. Here in the US we can't have nice things like these because disrespectful lil A-holes trash everything just for kicks.

@@englishatheart I think thats why japanese law doesn't let you lock your capsule. If you are going to flip out, then you can simply get out and go to the lounge or shower. Because they don't want to show faces you notice he says 'before it gets busy'. Likely after being in a crowded lounge and bathroom then a capsule seems a lot less enclosed. But I'd maybe have painted a sky or starry view on the ceiling so it would be like sleeping outside:)
