Yesterday in Livonia Mi there was a spin up tornado that took the life of a 2 year old. No severe thunder storm warnings, no tornado warning for that community. Sad.
It’s sad to hear that there were no warnings but unfortunately that does happen sometimes but it’s far from the norm. My heart does go out to the family for their loss. As for EF1’s wind speed ranges from 86-110mph. They can be highly destructive and unfortunately cause a lot of damage and take lives. There is no particular way a tornado is supposed to act.
I'm glad Tennessee is getting a break from the rain. Our lawn needs cutting so bad and it takes us a while since my hubby is on oxygen 24-7 and I'm allergic to grass.
If you have a flatter lawn you might consider a robot lawn mower. They take forever but run on their own so it doesn't really matter if it takes up to ten hours. If it's a bigger property you might look into how to turn part of it back into a natural field for wildlife. No more mowing then. Some states protect your rights to do this this in order to help species like monarch butterflies. So then the neighbors can't say anything. You can look up robot lawn mowers & returning lawns to a natural field on TH-cam. Just to see what they're like. Then Google your states rules for natural fields. It's actually pretty cool & you could still keep some clear for yourself. Otherwise I'd recommend looking on Amazon for some coveralls so you can avoid the grass as much as possible. You might also call 211 & ask if they know any services that offer lawn help for disabled & seniors. If you're really lucky there might be one around to help you out. Good luck I'm praying you find something that will be easier on you guys.

Palm Bay, Florida- bummer no rain. Why do they all blow apart !??? aggravating. Heat is tremendous here. Drought like conditions. It's now 8:33 June 6 th. we have flattened out clouds, i guess from a high or low pressure. They always blow out our weather. It's like we don't exist😢😢 pray we will get rain. Real tropical like weather. Last summer we had so many thunder storms. They were bad too. But this year is bad drought.😮

I'm making this observation based on the comment about the Maryland tornadoes yesterday. I watched a Fox drone video of Maryland this a.m. The Maryland tornado would have been much worse had there been more open areas. The worst damage I saw happened to buildings in areas with few to no tree cover. It might be a good idea for people living in high tornado volume areas to plant as many trees as possible to block the winds from the storms. In highly forested areas there were power outages and tree damage but the trees protected houses and other structures for the most part. If possible reforesting might help alleviate some of the damage and losses.
Not 1 cloud or chemtrail in the sky over STL, MO. Clear as a bell, just the sun.. its actually bizarre looking. Sky still has that weird grayish/ light blue look . I took video few hours ago of n,s,e,w view.
I remember times when the sky looked metallic right before storms came through. It usually ended up being winds and rain. Last I saw of it was the December 2021 derecho in Nebraska.
Today's wind has been nasty. I ran into town with my wife to run some errands and to help my mother for a couple hours. Going into town was not bad but come back against the wind, which by this time had intensified greaty was bad enough that on the highway while going 70mph a gust of wind well over 50mph ahd ripped the plastic piece off the bottom of my car that shields the under side of the engine. I had to take a few bolts out and cut away what remained as there was no salvaging it. The weather app is stating guts of 45mph plus and that one had to be well north of 50mph as it almost put us in the other lane.
The outlook for Saturday is already saying they will probably add higher risk areas as more things become more clearer with the outlooks. It helps when you actually read discussions and not just look at the maps 😂
