That 2nd shot at 00:10 is insane. Did you recess the middle of the fiber optics somehow?

Thanks! I used a "vintage" SMC Takumar lens to get the beautiful soap bubble bokeh. The camera was tight in on the fiber optics. I also did 8 camera rotations (see other vid), and in one single shot too by capping the lens between rotations.

@@robertmiramontes8018 thanks, I thought the circular bokeh would've been form a vintage lens but the way you've got the depth going on is very fascinating. I'll check out your rotation vid, thanks, and quality content!

What kind of key lights are those...brand and where can I get them

I like to use "Photon II" keychain lights. And I prefer the standard over the "pro" model. The reason being that I like the on/off button on the standard model - the light turns on when pressed, then off when you release the button. With the pro model, you push the button once and it stays on, then push again to turn it off, which is less precise.

Thank you keepitsimple7604! Covid kinda stole my fire. I do think about the channel all the time and hope to get back into it! I still have a few tricks up my sleeve that may be worthy of sharing.

Those connectors are prohibitively expensive...... for a piece of rubber it is simply price gouging.

For a little piece of rubber, yes it is quite expensive! I'm sure a homemade version could be made. I still think they are a good value though, they make it possible to attach a wide variety of light painting and lighting tools, including homemade gadgets, and they last for a long time. I've been using mine for years and they are still in perfect condition.

@@azdigbee ya I thought the same too, but bought one just to see what it's about, and maybe make a few of my own. But I believe the purpose of the adapter is to fit different sized lights with different brushes. I've made some color filters using pvc pipe connectors. A little more cost, but it does what I want it to do.

@@azdigbee I think you should at least buy one just to get your thoughts. There's that one product called "ball of light" and that thing is expensive! So I've been researching how to make my own using cheaper stuff lol. There's a software out there for live light painting recording for videos and stuff, but instead of single purchase model, they make you go for a very expensive subscription model. Ugh...
