I was addicted to masturbation by age 3 and I already knew how to have an orgasm. Because of this, I never experienced an innocent childhood as I was always sexual growing up. So when he was asking in the beginning if you can remember life without that bondage my answer was “no” to a lot of those questions. However, I was able to say yes when he asked if you remember the happiness you felt as a child. And I want THAT back! The sexual abuse and then the physical abuse from my sister and verbal abuse from my father who constantly told me I was ugly, a dumb b*tch, and gonna be just like my mother who died of AIDS all caused me to have deep-rooted issues. While I have gone through steps of healing and forgiveness, there are still remnants left that I depend on God to help me work through. This message was POWERFUL and made me realize that it wasn’t just my innocence but it was also JOY that the enemy stole. I might can’t get back my child-like innocence but I can get back my child-like JOY and that’s exactly what after 🙌🏾😭
Ashleigh Wow really I’m sorry to hear. I have a close friend with a similar experience and she and I have talked about how ppl don’t understand what it’s like to wonder how life would be different if we hadn’t gone through that. The good that came out of it, though, was being able to help others.

Turned it on when I went to bed and it had me crying into my pillow. I can’t remember anything before “it” happened. When looking at smiling photos of myself as a child I’m like who is that? I looked free, like I had no care in the world but playing with my animals and toys. There’s a song called Nothing Else that says “Take me back to where we started I open up my heart to You.” Always makes me think about when He first connected with me, but I let everything take me in a different direction. 🙏🏽 thankful that He didn’t give up on me and now I’m back with Him.

I love this message, I totally agree "God never intended for us to know good & evil", but, I don't remember when racism wasn't in my life as a kid in grammar school it was very present, but my parents taught us to think above it, when we came home we talked it with our parents.
