I sorted Knights Radiant orders, Enneagram types, and Meyers-Briggs types into Hogwart's houses

- I asked myself "is there a correlation between Hogwart's house, Knights Radiant order, and Enneagram/Meyer's-Briggs personality types and can we predict one from the other?" I'm not saying this is a good question to ask, but I asked it, and here are the results.

I personally am an INFJ, Type 9, Hufflepuff, and Truthwatcher! I'm almost as proud of my Knight Radiant Order as I am of my Hogwarts house, lol! However my second highest order on the test was Edgedancer, and I agree that their values totally align with Hufflepuff.

Immediately intrigued when I saw this title! Super interesting stuff here. I test as a bondsmith and enneagram 9, and you placing bondsmiths in multiple houses makes so much sense to me based on the type 9 tendency to merge with other personalities around them.
Ohh you're one of the special bondsmiths, I'm jealous. If it were real...which spren would you bond with, the nightwatcher, the stormfather, or the sibling?
@@Bookborn it's really hard to know! I could see bonding any of them, though I am an engineer really enjoyed many aspects of Navani's arc in RoW, so maybe leaning towards the Sibling. But also I doubt I'd actually be a Bondsmith, I'm not that worthy!

What's interesting is- I'm a Ravenclaw and a 5. I would have assumed I was also an Elsecaller before taking the test, but I was apparently a damn Willshaper and that doesn't describe me at all. So Brandon's quiz is broken and I should sue! Seeing your results makes me even more sure I am an Elsecaller :P
What was your percentage breakdown? Maybe you got something super close in a better suited order. Also...technically you'd accept the Oaths so I say you're an Elsecaller if you want to be 😂
According to their respective online tests I’m a ENFJ, Windrunner and Hufflepuff. Glad to see that 2/3 were aligned on your ranking, and I can certainly see Windrunner’s being Gryffindor.
Oooh a windrunner/hufflepuff. Honestly, I could guess a lot of hufflepuffs may be windrunner's too. Their values, after all, are about protection and helping others!
I'm also curious as on how closely people took each test. I know sometimes these personalities quizzes can slightly differ during different stages from life. Like I took the Harry Potter house quiz years ago, but took the knights radiant last year. If I took both today, I could get something different. So it'd be interesting to do a broader population but having them take all 4 quizzes right before.
Completey agree. I was actually thinking that because I haven't taken the Meyer's Briggs in a decade. And like...am I still the same person I was then? A lot has changed.
I feel like in an ideal world you'd almost want people who had no prior knowledge of HP or Stormlight. So they wouldn't have any preconceived notions attached when they took the tests. And like you said, taking them all at the same time. Who's gonna fund our research, eh?
I have studied MBTI in depth, am fairly familiar with enneagram and a big Stormlight fan. Oddly, I'm least familiar with the Hogwarts houses of all these classifications, but this was fun to watch. So! I took the Hogwarts test just for you (and for science!). My results are: Hufflepuff, Edgedancer/Lightweaver (took the test twice and can't decide which fits me best, so count either as accurate), type 9, INFP. All those make sense to me. You put only feeling (F) types (from MBTI) in Hufflepuff, which seems fitting- F types are typically known for being warm and caring, empathetic- but not always. T types are known to be more logical and/or rational. Types ending in J are typically known to be more traditional and action oriented -though these are huge generalizations-, while types ending in P are spontaneous, open minded and go with the flow. Forgive my extreme nerdiness, but you seem like the type to enjoy information.
I appreciate greatly your sacrifice for science in taking the test for me lol. I seem to be much better at getting house/order correlated than anything else.
Your info is so helpful and I think would make me rethink how I ordered them in a lot of ways. I was too focused on the overall type and not enough on the individual parts, I think. Like maybe it would've made sense for me to actually think individually - is this house more T or F? Is it more J or P? Maybe you need to organize them knowing more...you'd probably get a lot closer!
@@Bookborn Glad it was helpful! I think you did a good job. I know my brain kind of exploded when I realized that all the letters had a lot of meaning and depth behind them, and not only that but the way the different aspects work together. Frank James is a TH-camr who addresses MBTI in an entertaining way, and his scratches are a good way to get an idea of the 16 types. I have thought about doing a podcast that relates MBTI to nerdy topics, so we'll see! Keep up the good work.
Books, fantasy, data all pooled into one amazing video.. what more can a nerd ask for! I ended up testing as a type 3, Ravenclaw, Elsecaller INTJ. So you got 3/4 for me, maybe even 4/4 since you debated putting 3s in Ravenclaw!!
I feel like I really understood the Ravenclaw/Elsecaller's...I tend to get the most right in that group. I need to revisit the other ones I think lol

I'm a Ravenclaw, Truthwatcher, INTJ, and 4 wing 5. So all but the enneagram matched, and even that was very close.
I really like going through different fantastical factions/groups like this and trying to decide where the characters in my stories fit. However, I don't usually use the enneagrams or Meyers-Briggs types, and instead use the Dungeons and Dragons alignments, the Magic: the Gathering color combinations, and the Divergent factions.
As for how I would have sorted them...
Windrunner: Gryffindor
Skybreaker: Gryffindor or Slytherin
Dustbringer: Slytherin
Edgedancer: Hufflepuff
Truthwatcher: Ravenclaw
Lightweaver: Ravenclaw, maybe Slytherin
Elsecaller: Ravenclaw, maybe Slytherin
Willshaper: Gryffindor or Hufflepuff
Stoneward: Gryffindor or Hufflepuff
Bondsmith: Really, any of them, though the theme of 'I will unite' feels very close to Hufflepuff's values/traits of loyalty and trust.
Anyway, this is a topic I am very into, and this was a very interesting and fun episode!
We were pretty close on how we'd sort the Radiant orders! All the ones where you put "this, maybe this" were literally what I was arguing between too haha. I'm so mad I didn't think of throwing D&D alignments in there, that would be fun. Maybe hard to do for houses but I feel like it would work really well with Radiant orders.
Brando is a big Magic the Gathering fan. The radiants feel like the MTG color combinations called guilds, wedges, or SHARDS. So much of the Cosmere is derivative of Magic. Even down to character names
I haven't played Magic the Gathering yet! We have a deck at home from when my husband played but I haven't gotten into it yet, so I can't say...
@@Bookborn Gotcha, I find it interesting. In MTG you have planeswalkers instead of world hoppers (same thing) and Brando has made open comparisons for characters such as Hoid. Gives a ton of insight into how he sees characters power rankings and traits.
This is so awesome. I do think you're on to something! So I did the other test! So I'm Gryffindor, Windrunner, ISTP(which you put in Slytherin but I think fits better in gryffindor), and I'm equally 8 and 1 in the Eneagram. Which I find is interesting that 1 is in Ravenclaw because in the energy profiling thing I sent you I am a dominant type 3, but my secondary energy is 4, which makes total sense to me. Anyway, fascinating!
Yeah I really struggled with the MB types because It feels like they have so many different descriptions. It's almost like I need one person from each type in a room and then we can sort them haha!

This is pretty accurate to me, aside from getting 50/50 results from Ravenclaw and Slytherin in HP tests, I'm an INTJ 1w9 that consistently got Elsecaller
I discovered while making this video that actually there are a lot of traits I used to prescribe to just Ravenclaw that are shared with Slytherin. I think I'm more Slytherin than I've previously thought...
@@Bookborn thinking about my own habits and issues and depression and how I act when I'm in better or worse places in life, I think I'm more Slytherin when I have more energy to live life and more Ravenclaw when the depression is pulling me down more if that makes sense. Unfortunately HP was one of the big franchises I never had interest in aside from a friend dragging me to a movie (and who doesn't love a buzzfeed quiz lol) otherwise I'd probably have a better idea of my rightful house.

What a fun and creative video idea! I'm a type 3, INTP, Ravenclaw, Elsecaller, so you got 3/4 for me.
I lot of type 3's have been Reavenclaw/Elsecaller, so maybe should've gone with my first call there and put it in Ravenclaw
Here's my thought process with Hogwarts and Myers-Briggs. I used three of the four Myers-Briggs characteristics to sort the houses: 1) I see Gryffindor and Hufflepuff as externally focused on relationships, and Ravenclaw and Slytherin as internally focused on their thoughts, 2) I see Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff as intuitively focused on broader concepts, such as truth or justice, and Gryffindor and Slytherin are sensorially focused on details, and 3) I see Ravenclaw and Slytherin moved by ideas and Gryffindor and Hufflepuff moved by feelings. This makes: Hufflepuffs "valuing" types (ENFJ, ENFP, INFJ, INFP), such as teachers, counsellors, and healers; Gryffindors "relating" types (ESFP, ESFJ, ISFP, ISFJ), such as protectors, providers, and performers; Ravenclaws as "visioning" types (INTJ, INTP, ENTJ, ENTP), such as masterminds, inventors, and architects; and Slytherins as "directing" types (ISTP, ISTJ, ESTP, ESTJ), such as supervisors, operators, and promoters.

Weirdly, I work as an executive (healthcare), scholar (Continental philosophy), artist (poet and novelist), and martial arts teacher. 🤷♀️
According to the tests, I'm a type 8 elsecaller INTP who's in Hufflepuff. I'm as baffled as anyone else.
I think elsecaller, is kind of the combo of type 8 and INTP, since it has "among the best tacticians" so I can see the commanding style of type eight meet the thinking side of INTP, amd that kinda works. But Hufflepuff really hit me out of nowhere, I can see an argument for me being in any other house.
Maybe It just means you're a kinder Elsecaller...since maybe they can be a little Jasnah-y 😂
I have am a Ravenclaw and have always gotten either Lightweaver or Elsecaller in the radiant order quiz. U put both orders in exactly the right house.
I'm a Gryffindor, INFP, and a Lightweaver. I personally think that Lightweavers are a more Gryffindor type of order because while they don't fit the standards of your typical Gryffindor, they exemplify a lot of their values. You can see this with Shallan and most in the order, how they fear being honest but still do so at the end of the day because that's what their oath compelled them to do, and while I can see them starting out as another house. I think as an order Gryffindor fits them the most (I might be totally wrong tho XD)
I think it's hard not to be biased by what you are haha! Like a lot of people are saying Elsecaller would be a good slytherin house, but because I'm a Ravenclaw and Elsecaller I see that connection. So makes sense that you see the Gryffindor/Lightweaver connection! I had a hard time with them. Like Bondsmiths, I could see them being in a lot of houses.

This is an interesting analysis. I like the break down by what each house values. There are so many different kinds of people in each house it makes it hard. Like I could see Harry as a Windrunner but Hermione as an Elsecaller or Skybreaker and Ron as a Willshaper maybe
Oh for sure. I randomly could see Ron as a Windrunner too, but I don't think Hermione would fit there. But, overall, they'd probably all be different orders.
I'm a: Ravenclaw - Second House Slytherin, ENTP-A, Type 7, and I don't know about my order (still working through the Stormlight Archives). I think ENTP is the most Ravenclaw of the Meyers-Briggs; they are called the Debater, and they are known for seeking truth, and challenging the ideas of those around them as well as their own.
The problem with Meyer's Briggs is I swear everywhere you look there are different descriptions of them. So I had my list off they Meyer's Briggs website, but then the images I pulled from the site had different words! So I think that's why I struggled so hard with those.
Enneagram 9 to the core, INFJ or INFP (it depends), and just did the Knight Radiant test, I’m an Edgedancer. For Howgart’s houses, I think I’m a Hufflepuff, but I didn’t do the test. I was fun! And I love random things like this on your channel!

@@u31inked Interesting, I actually have a dilemma about my MBTI type too but one thing I'm sure is that it's always going to be INxx. And though I'm already a self proclaimed Slytherin, I still get Ravenclaw from time to time (or at least, it's always secondary). Where do you feel the most comfortable though? One interesting theory I've seen is that your House is what you and your family value, and thinking that a lot of my family members are definitely Slytherins, it's no surprise that I am too.
I am a hufflepuff, INFJ, 5w4, and had never heard of knights radiant but took the quiz and got truthwatcher. I honestly probably act more like I ravenclaw, which could explain why I am all over the place, but I think I value the hufflepuffs traits more, which could explain why I am all over the place. I think there is a weighting to the Knights radiants results, or at least it's easier to get into certain orders, which actually makes sense. We know that Windrunners operate in large units, military squads. Lightweavers operate in small teams and that there can only be three bondsmiths at a time. So it makes sense that the results would reflect that as well.
Can you imagine if they made it so the bondsmith test could only give that order three times. The chaos in the fandom...

I am a Hufflepuff/Gryffindor split, a 2 on the enneagram, Lightweaver, and ISFJ-T. BUT I am a trauma survivor and that informs a lot of my personality. I think it’s why I’m a Lightweaver for sure.

@@Bookborn hahahaha honestly, when you were sorting them, I was like “Lightweaver. Hufflepuff, duh.” And you were like “Ravenclaw” and I was like “wait what?” But then I started thinking about it and realized the only reason I thought Hufflepuff is because I’m a Hufflepuff and it actually made no sense. I think you’re right about Ravenclaw because they value truth, but I think they could also fit Slytherin because they value THEIR truth and aren’t afraid of lies and manipulation to get what they want. (I also agree that there is way too much of a negative stigma put on Slytherins so please understand that when I say manipulation, I mean it in the way that we ALL manipulate situations so that they favor us. My therapist told me to take the judgment out of the word manipulation because literally everyone is manipulating everyone else maybe even without realizing it just because it’s what we are programmed to do! I do think Slytherins tend to be willing to go a little further with their manipulation than a Gryffindor might though, for example. So anyway. That’s my thought process. I’m really excited fo jump into your other videos! I’m glad I found you.

I was thinking that...like I haven't taken the MBTI in forever and maybe I've changed? I don't know their theory - are you even allowed to change or do they claim it's something that never changes throughout your life? Either way...we are in the superior group obvi 😉
@@Bookborn I *think* the prevailing theory is that yes, you can change over time. Underneath the four-letter types, it's really more about your function stacks, the preferences your brain has for processing things. So I guess if you, say, get assigned a leadership role at work or start a family, you might start exercising different cognitive functions and therefore could change your brain's preferences. At least that's my limited understanding of it :) But yes, xNTJ for the win =P
@@pjalexander_author I should probably retake the test but then again, this has been my identity for so long might as well keep it 🤪 (tbh I don't put much into personality tests...I feel like ultimately they are interesting and may inform us, but are pretty limited).

INFJ according to 16P, INTJ according to online friends, ESTJ according to CS Joseph's test, ENTJ according to Objective Personality (derivative of MBTI).
MBTI results are notoriously unreliable, and there are a lot of people and tests that use different metrics to type with, so don't feel bad about not getting all of those "accurately."

I'm a Slytherin INTJ Lightweaver Type 5, but I understand why you put all of those in Ravenclaw. I do disagree that INTJ should be Slytherin, but I completely understand the stereotype sounds Ravenclaw.
I think there is a fine line between Ravenclaw and Slythern. A lot of Ravenclaws are going to have a lot of ambition...I wouldn't be surprised if they shared a lot of personalities.

I feel like I may be a Ravenclaw with Slytherin tendencies lol. I never realized that before this video but I was noticing how many of my traits seem to fit there, too... I think this would be super different if I put Knights Order's first...like What houses would go into Elsecaller instead of the other way around? I think Slythern/Ravenclaw make the most sense for Elsecaller.

As much as I wish the Houses weren't divided between good and evil, I don't think there's any denying that Rowling wrote the Slytherin's to be mean and selfish. That being said, I'm a Slytherin(with a good deal of Ravenclaw)
Well, I actually have an entire opinion on this 😅 When Rowling started, she couldn't have imagined what HP would become. So, it starts so middle grade. Classic good v. evil. Slytherins bad, Gryffindor good. As the series goes on though, it sort of turns into a YA series and then there are less clear cut lines. You have Draco's entire arc in the last two books which sort of changes things. But then you have this weird scene at the end where EVERY single Slytherin leaves and none fight in the battle of hogwarts. I always found that scene super jarring. Isn't the entire point of the book series that it isn't all what it seems? Dumbledore tells Snape that they sorted too soon, implying that maybe he wouldn't have been a slytherin...
All this to say, we are now stuck with a series that has meant so much to so many people, and then a quarter of them are sorted into this house that weirdly is all evil in the books. So I try to look beyond that and think "what would Slytherin be if that wasn't the case in the book?" And so then we have loyal, ambitious, upholding tradition...
Anyway I just typed an embarrassingly long assessment of that, I apologize.
I completely agree with that assessment. I wondered wether it had to do with the popularity and target age range.
@@lewstherinteletubby50 I think it did. Like it was supposed to be only 8-12 year olds reading this and now adults were reading it too. I think of something like A Series of Unfortunate Events were things stay pretty classically/cartoonishly good vs. evil, but that wasn't as much as a sensation (despite it's popularity), so it isn't scrutinized as much.

To add, the INFP is also called "The Mediator", who works to bring everyone together and help keep the boat from rocking too much. They're also creative. Myers-Briggs describes them as being comprised mostly of poets, writers, and artists. You make a good point about the "my values" smacking of Slytherin, but I can see them fitting more in either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw in their "get-alongness" and creativity. But this is what makes conversations like this fun!
Noooo I was so close! I just really had a hard time getting a handle on the MBTI...I think maybe because I got a little overwhelmed because there were so many lol. I think I should've taken more stock of the individual letters rather than seeing it as a whole, to help out.

Well that would make sense! That's why I'd LOVE to know if they purposefully do that or if it shakes out that way...or if it's not that way at all and all the orders are pretty equally given out. Like...is there a set result given purely on your answers? Or do they manipulate it...
@@Bookborn not gonna lie just spent a bit of time looking at personality distributions. So the only one that doesn't make sense really is gryffindor. There are so many memes about having to realize you're not a gryffindor, however windrunners do make kinda sense though as the recruitment is "do you like helping people? No, would you be down to learn?"
Majority of people can become a windrunner, because they want to be a hero. Anyway I'm just lawyering a point now lol
@@Justadude1997 Totally true. And then there's the whole deal where this ISN'T real magic so maybe our personalities don't align with what would actually happen. Like yeah, it's easier to become a Windrunner squire and the ideals are pretty universal, so why not sign up?
