Hahaha you can do the same challange again at the same hawker because seriously there are tons of good stalls there as it is the biggest hawker in Singapore. Majority of the people there speaks or at least understand Cantonese. If you order Cantonese food like roast meats 100% the stall owners speaks cantonese. If you walk around the market you can hear especially the elders conversing in Cantonese.
2 decades ago $20 could buy you 10 bowls of minced pork noodles in chinatown hawker centre without queueing clearing trays after eating.Just place your order, wait for food to be delivered to you and just leave after eating.These days $20 cannot buy you much and for big eaters , it is cheaper to go for korean barbecue buffet or steamboat buffet costing $ 30 per person with 3 hrs non stop eating with free flow of drinks in airconditioned environment.
But still there are vendors who really cannot make a good cup of kopi or teh...even if you ask for gao or not...the standard is just not there. For this stall I think their kopi is the more popular drink and for someone who always order kopi gao or delok, from this stall just normal is strong enough.

解: 最近常聽到戰機飞過是為了新加坡的國慶彩排, 每個星期六在濱海灣5.15pm開始的國慶-NDP 2022表演直到8月9日.
平時彩排都有。國細，很容易飛過就聽到。

水粿不是马来西亚的小吃，水粿是源自广东潮汕的传统小吃，那些到新加坡和马来西亚讨生活的潮州人把这个小吃带来新加坡和马来西亚。
有些 hawker 也是有 sgqr 來付錢， 可以用銀行的app 來 scan。
薄餅通常主要是沙葛，芽菜，水煮蛋，來包的。
那碗麵通常會有點黑醋，香菇就用醋醃過的。
不是喔！水粿是潮州人的食品哦！有潮州人的地方都會有的。
現在每個週末都會有國慶綵排喔！所以戰機是正常的。

Teh O 是不加奶只加白糖的红茶,
Teh O Kosong 是完全不加奶也不加糖的红茶。

20蚊在新加坡兩個人可以食得飽。差不多匯率既加幣，20蚊一定唔夠兩人食，應該只可買一樣野食。
下次去舊機場食物中心。果度有好多美食。
水粿是源自潮汕的小食，但是因为“水粿”与“水果”在潮汕话里同音，为了区别两者的不同，潮汕人在“水粿”之前加上“咸”字，变成“咸水粿”。另外，杯饼是马来人的小食，馅料包括沙葛、笋、豆芽、包菜、虾米、香菇等。马来话叫 kueh pieti 。
星洲花奶沖的奶茶叫Teh C。C估計應該是Carnation 意思。Coffee C 如此類推。咩冰就是煉奶。個人覺得在香港的比較好喝。茶味淡，咖啡就很焦的味。

Kueh Pie Tee 同popiah可以係香港Cafe Malacca @ Hotel Jen (西環)食到. 價錢係貴少少不過覺得係香港最接近新加坡/馬來西亞standard的餐廳. Highly recommended!

每个大型hawker centre都有特别好吃的店铺，以后可以多多去吃。不过吃hotplate stingray, 煮炒摊位的话$20就有点不够了。
不爱吃醋的人可以预先通知小贩不要在肉脞麵里加醋, 就没有那酸酸的味道。

香港隨街都飲到凍奶茶啦 點解一定要 熱咖
很可惜两位都不吃辣。絕大多数本地人都会在薄餅，面食和水粿加上辣椒醬。如果没有辣椒酱，就会觉得食物缺少了voom.
薄餅主要食材是沙葛，没有萝卜。你们光顧的那家簿餅摊位，是新加坡少数当塲做那薄餅皮。那是很有趣的手工制作。而那kueh pie tee 不是华人食品，而是娘惹传统食品。食材几乎是和薄餅一样。唯一不同之处是那个杯子。
你们吃的麵应该是麵薄。一般称之为Mee Pok （以福建潮汕语读音。水粿也一样，没有人会以华语來稱这食品。所以它是叫Jui Kueh。）它有一点酸味是因为福建潮汕人都会加了些黑醋。如果有一点豬油渣，那会更好。
至于飲料，不喝本地咖啡是有点可惜。当然这是个人口味。不过要喝在香港不容易的飲料該数甘蔗汁。如果加上一两片柠檬，会更加美味。
最后，你们为什么没有叫炒粿條呢？它也是具有本地特色的面食。
