My son John is 6 yrs and has nightmares demons are attacking him from hell. He wakes at night and is truly having a panic attack and very very distraught. As a mother and father we are suffering too because of his suffering. He was born on the feast of John the Baptist and 6 months prior I was reading my one year catholic Bible and I was pregnant with him and read his name will be John which we already planned to do. I asked my husband when the feast of John the Baptist was and that maybe he would be born on that day. He was, it was 6 weeks early. I ask St John the Baptist to pray for his life, healing and mission. Please pray for little Johnny. 🙏

Looking back on my life (as a middle-aged person), I can honestly say the majority of negative, painful events have led to better than before. In fairness there are many saints raised in wealthy families who did not turn out as sissies ! True most gave it away or built monasteries, but character may emerge from such backgrounds. My parents grew up in the Great Depression and did want to splurge on the kids which tended to be negative, certainly in my case. Great discourse, thank you I need to listen again !
So funny that I keep watching the video titles that I think are from Friar Anthony, who’s been a dear friend of mine for a long time, as much as a religious can be friends with someone. Thanks for posting these videos.
On inspiration: if you live in the Divine Will then the origins of the inspirations dont matter all things are ordered by God and He is able to take all bad and turn to good. Ive liked what Fr. Ripperger said that Satan said, that God keeps setting him up for a failure.
I have been listening to this in parts for the last 6 days, and today realized that I will have no health insurance this year because I've had so much anxiety that I completely forgot to pay my premium before the new year. I have been suffering from anxiety and "low grade" depression for 2 years and finally decided I was going to get help, but now I can't. Throughout advent and in many talks like this one, I keep hearing "be joyful." This was part of why I decided to get help. I was also going to get a general check-up, which I have been neglecting for almost a decade. Last month I had a health scare, and so I was going to really start to take care of myself this year. I am so disappointed now. Without insurance, I'll likely become more anxious. I just finished listening to the last 20 minutes of this hoping to be encouraged. For some reason, I suppose God willed me to forget to pay my insurance. I don't understand how this is for my good, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Just explain to your group administrator of your health plan or your individual health insurance, and explain to them your situation. I'm sure they are able to make an exception, and manually override their system, to include you you as an "active" member. And also to back-date your active status "as-of" to the beginning of the year. I used to work for a third party billing company for health and dental and vision insurance, and we frequently got questions/ requests that we contacted the particular insurance carrier to get individual situations resolved or rectified. It pays to always ask. And rules can be modified, for accomodations and/or exceptions to be made. Lord bless you. Keep the faith all circumstances. +
By shortcut, he meant simplifying our path to holiness rather than complicating it. Obviously as a friar he understands that it is a lifetime commitment.
Purity of heart and thought and intention. Humility and obedience to God and patience with others, ourselves, and His Holy will for us. I'm still trying to achieve this in life. Amen. +
This talk started out sorta bland, but got better and better. The last 20 minutes was so rich that I went back to listen a second time to several of the points.
I didn’t grow up not poor but not rich and wish I grew up poor, like he mentioned about not knowing how to do anything resonates well with me and I don’t know how to resolve that. I feel lost and don’t know what I’m doing.
