I noticed in the rules that confession was only three times a year. I don't think that is adequate for anyone to achieve holiness.

That is minimum. None of us only go three times a year. Remember, tha is the original rule with changes from Pope Leo XIII, if I remember correctly. There is no “new rule”..

What is your name? I mean, your video sounds more like a speech or a lecture, not at all conversational. It would be nice , at least, to know who you are. Are you a TOSF? Lecturers and speakers are introduced to an audience before they deliver what it is they have to say.

Thank you, Father. Wonderful talk. I’m a Third Order Carmelite, I really needed to hear you today. I know all of us in the third orders strive for holiness, but sometimes I’m guilty of neglecting my duties such as slacking in my prayer life. 😔 Your talk gave me a boost to get back in and keep on fighting against the world, to pray unceasingly. God bless my brothers and sisters in all the third orders. 💪 🙋‍♀️💗🙏

I LOVE THE NUNS. Please continue to pray to those who forgot how to pray anymore. You are the true girl power than feminism. You are the literal brides of Christ vis-a-vis the Catholic Church being the spritual bride of Christ. You might stumble and get exhausted but getting back up and fighting the invisible spiritual warfare is the true power. Thank you.

47:02 regarding the beer, A few years ago, out of no where, I decided to visit my elderly great-uncle Pio who was just in an accident. I told my husband, “let’s take him some Pepsi.” I had seen on Facebook, through family members, that he really loves Pepsi. We stopped at a gas station, and bought two 2 liters of cold Pepsi. He lived a couple towns over, about 25 miles away. We knocked on his door, unannounced. My aunt opened the door and gave us a big hug. They were so happy, and he went in the kitchen and got a pot and filled it with ice. He served us some soda. It turns out, he was craving Pepsi! Their car was inoperable due to the accident, and they didn’t know how they were going to go to the store. My aunt wanted to take a transit, but didn’t want to leave him alone. They said, “Then you showed up, with two bottles of Pepsi!” I was filled with joy, I know God was behind it all. I always tell my children,”God loves to delight us!” And I remind them of the story of the Pepsi. Thank you for this talk.

Well said Fr, "We will not stumble into to heaven".
Yet what about the reality of "No one can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit".
Except our Lord enlighten us to our need for being all in for God, how many of us will fall short of the kingdom.

@@Molly-ILJVM I'm a lifelong Liberal and am fairly progressive in some areas - but I reject and repudiate wokeness. Those things are not connected at all. Woke is the opposite of Liberal. It is a real tragedy that people are being taught to either fear what Liberalism truly is or are being taught that to be woke is to be liberal-minded. Woke is illiberal in the extreme. It's a real shame.

The best way to start to truly practice our Catholic faith, we need to pray & if God Wills, He’ll give us a holy spiritual director for us to follow his/her guidance in humility, if we ask Him for it. Until then, doing the examination of conscience as often as possible help to clear our conscience. Going to confession at least once a month, & continue this for 1,2,3 yrs..God will grant us many virtues through Grace to those who keep our ‘practice’ straight as a sign of our loyalty !

Sexual abstinence or chastity is never talked about and youth is lead astray by sexual education. I am 35 and my teacher who had been studying to be a priest told us about abstinence and God has talked to me about it now as the only method he actually approves as it causes no harm. It is harmless and beneficial. Many children are now lesbians and gay and whatever else they have come up with because we never told them sexual desire is a lie! They feel awkward because they are continent not gay!

He forgot to mention that lots of us were catechized to believe that we can be of the world and be of God.
"God helps those who help themselves" - Placing us as masters of our worldly lives and God is a wingman
You must participate in NO mass, your effort is your measure - You must elevate yourself as a primary source of sainthood
Catholic Church is one of many options to get to heaven - Fails to recognize the importance of our sacraments and degrades them from their divinity
On and on. It starts with strong spiritual fathers to lead us to the truth and courage to defend and spread that truth of Jesus and the Catholic Church.
Then yes, after that the flock is responsible for submitting themselves to the faith which also means begin the separation from the world.

Its strange what you said about words on food packaging. I noticed something odd about that too. So often the same words appear again and again "soft", "sweet", and "smooth", often prefixed with the word "so". Its an almost embarrassing form of language. As a night shift cabbie I often hear customers talk about food incessantly, repeating it over and over again. At one point one of them loved saying "chips n cheese" so much that he shouted out "chips and cheese" without any sentence structure around it at all.

    • @Corvus001
      @Corvus001 ปีที่แล้ว

@@channelmoved9096 It is important to make the distinction that He said we should not judge, but specifically we have to avoid *rash* judgements. It is most of the time a venial sin. We have to use our judgement to identify good and evil/sin and avoid it or tactfully dispute or flee from it *without hypocrisy* , it's an absolute necessity for the sake of our souls. A lot of people take 'don't judge' as an excuse to justify their own and others behavior when it's not the case.
Its healthy to avoid judgement when it's not your place, but it vastly unhealthy to place blinders over your eyes to avoid making them when called to do so. Charity never demands the absence of truth.

To Mr. @estebanavelar4118 ; If we become aware of our discernment what God prepared for us & we start to truly live it we do not give a power to others’ advantages
or give into anyone’s vices. These persons with vices you talk about are often being judged as towering over your disadvantages with new faith or with any struggles.
However, they’re actually disadvantaged of their own salvation. Focus on the Lord’s teaching & do not be swayed, Jesus came not for the righteous, but for the sick (means sinners, like us).

That is a beautiful image of Saint Francis, stumbling after Christ with his eyes fixed on him. You are wrong about animals though, I believe they are in heaven

It seems that there is a wide difference of opinion about animals in Heaven. Since God created them before he formed man from the dust of the earth, it seems somehow logical that they would be in heaven. I’m not interested in getting into an argument about it, just my thoughts.

The Faith is a pearl of great price. It takes accepting the WILL of Jesus Christ and committment. If thy eye afflict you pock it out. Duality is a sin. You cannot.have it both ways. If you are not for me then you are against me.(Duality is the lukewarm souls who lnow better but refuse to comply.) JesusChrist will vomit them out. Choose wisely your eternal salvation is at stake.

All you need to do is sturdy and look back at history how Christianity started in Europe and how expended around the world,I thank the lord for being born in Portugal the first Templar nation in the world 🙏😊 a country that was born for Christ and to protect the real doctrine of Christ and the magisterium of our beautiful Catholic church to obey the church and the pope and not the world, but No!!! Satan didn’t like this idea!! So he had to come up with a lie to kill all of the night Templars who their mission was to protect the church the pilgrims who used to go on pilgrimages to Jerusalem to visit the holy land and to fight against our enemies the islamics and the Muslims who were trying to invade the whole Europe and to destroy all of Jesus existence in the holy land, but all thanks to us the night Templars who won numerous battles against our enemies by the power of God 🙏😊🙌 but God his more powerful and he made his name known and proof of his existence in the holy land and in his church through out Europe and the world Amen 🙏 and the true church of Christ to be in control, so Satan tries so hard to destroy the church by making a separation against the promised Church of Rome described by Saint Paul from his letters to the Romans for the Church of Rome, which is us the Roman Catholic Church 🙌😊 Saint Paul explains very well that our lord Jesus came to his own people but his own people they didn’t believed in Jesus as their messiah so they killed him and now Jesus burns the first tree which was made with our first father Abraham and he planted a new seed in Rome where the sinners and pagans were and they all converted to Christianity where our lord Jesus now makes his new covenant to his new church ( the new Jerusalem starting in Rome) very interesting how the empire of Rome was very powerful and used to kill all Christian’s until God makes this miracle the conversion of Rome 🙏😊 but Satan copying everything exactly like God because he wants to be like God does it the same by starting with the first schism with a Greek orthodox patriarch of Constantinople michael cerularious born in the 1000 c in Constantinople by separating the Eastern Orthodox Church from the real church of Christ the ( Roman Catholic Church ) and then came the most famous ⭐️ of ALL TIMES Martin Luther in the 1500s 👏👏 the seed of Satans tree that made grow these new abominations fruits which we know very well Protestants, baptists, evangelics and list goes on and on 🤧🤢 but it’s ok we have the Holy Spirit guiding us with the bride of Christ the woman ( Mary with Jesus ) who our father in heaven gave us for our salvation the two are together for eternity no one can separate our lord Jesus from his mother, the only thing that the old serpent can do is to try to separate us from the truth and the true church of Christ but to separate Jesus from Mary never because the word became flesh and dwelled among us Emanuel, 🙏😊❤️🙌🇺🇸🇵🇹 viva cristo rei…

My take. Two set of sins. Personal sins and generational sins. Generations sins forgiven by baptism. unbaptised people ie those who refuse salvation by faith in Yeshua cant be participators in the Beautific vision. Personal sins can only be forgiven by sacramental confession. Take your pick!

The main problem is not worldliness but believing a false works based gospel. Salvation is through grace through faith in Jesus alone.
Addressing worldliness in this earthly life with its temporal consequences, is _a discipleship issue._ Enabling a lost person to be reconciled to God by putting faith in Christ alone for salvation with its eternal irrevocable consequences, is punctiliar and _an issue of preaching the true and unadulterated gospel of grace._

Also, it should be known that Catholics do not believe in a works-based gospel.
Palagianism is heresy, and was condemned as a heresy 1000 years before the protestant schism.
No one can be saved without God giving the grace.
We merely cooperate/ are obedient to God. And if we are disobedient, we are required to repent.

The depiction of a cancer diagnosis as a time of rejoicing, is infantile and spoken from a perspective of someone who has never suffered a devastating medical crisis. If knowing when one is going to die is such a joyful time, explain why Jesus prayed to "have this cup taken away"? Why did Jesus sweat blood? Why did Jesus not jump for joy and ask his disciples to join him in rejoicing that he was finally going to be put to death? This speaker is expecting Catholics to be better than Christ and is very hurtful to people who struggle with the painful reality of a cancer.

It wasn't because he was going to die, but because I had to suffer for all the sinners of the whole world both past, present and future. Part of his "cup", as you translate it, was the mental anguish being faced with something so horrible, but it was not the fact that he was to die. We Christians embrace death, because we have our Hope in Christ, through Christ and in Christ Jesus our Lord.
