But every minute a new apologist is born that thinks that "Its like the wind, you cannot see it but you can feel it"... And then they call Matt 😅... And want to give him "homework".

@@noracola5285 I totally agree, organized religion is very dangerous. Being set free from religion and the lies of the enemy only comes from knowing the truth (Jesus Christ), being born of the Spirit (Holy Spirt) and sharing the Spirit of truth. There is only one Spirit of truth and to know him is to have/know hope. Atheists offer no hope, this world offers no hope, only death. No religion is needed to know Jesus Christ (truth). Just faith (believing), faith plus nothing. Without faith it is impossible to please God. The God of all creation.

First of all, the guy's never home. He doesn't clean up or even help cleaning up, he doesn't do the dishes or help doing them, nothing of that sort. He doesn't even say when he's home so I could talk to him about the rent he's supposed to split with me.

I understand Matt’s frustration

welcome to my world. Here is what you need to do. Read the book with a critical mindset and even bookmark it to make it easier for you. Find all the horrible things that are said and make notes for yourself asking why....?
Honestly, you don't have to actually read it these days. you can go online and find all the inconsistencies in your book.
I was sat down in front of a priest and I had my ducks in a row. I started asking him the uncomfortable questions, to the point that I was told point blank that I should not be there if I think suck horrible things. I had to clarify every time telling him it wasn't I that thought that it was his book. He would try and tell me it was an allegory or that i didnt understand the context or something like that. Then I would put it on him asking why should I believe his interpretation over other people/religions who claim to be told by god that its different.
LOL. I was kindly told that I should leave.
you don't have to go to my extreme and go straight to the priest. but every time your parents say something, ask them to explain why their book says (insert horrible thing from the bible that directly contradicts whatever they tell you).

My siblings and I spent our lives in catholic schools, not because we were catholic, but because the public schools in Detroit were awful (and particularly dangerous for white kids.) Nearly everybody in my school treated the god beliefs as a total joke. Most of the parents did not believe either, but the Moms enjoyed Wednesday Bingo, and the Dad's enjoyed the Friday night drinking bash. If asked the right questions, nearly all of these folks would realize that they are/were atheists. 40-50 years later, many of these folks still force their children through communion and confirmation, though none of them actually believe the fairy tales.

This is a very patient cop trying to tug very lightly on the leash of a cop ready to blow his top because he's had to do this same thing too often and is sick of having his time wasted. it takes courage to live choose to recognize when you're playing pretend and choose to live in reality instead. the religious choose to continue to play pretend and hide it from themselves because they lack the courage and belief in themselves that they can handle reality alone.

So frustrating to hear these people who call in saying they’re going to give “evidence”

Yes, it is simple, people believe in anything if they think that in return they get what they desire.
The more they desire something, the easier it is to convince them to believe in something and promise them that they get what they desire.
It works in all age groups.
Basiacally politicians and priests are both promising something and their job is to convince people that for supporting their agendas people get their wishes granted.
If an adult can belive that a politician is a honest representative of the interest of the voters without realizing that the real interest of the voters is not represented by any politicians then we should not be surprised that people can be convinced to believe in anything.

Our family has been extremely fortunate to grow without any pressure to believe in “gods”. Both my wife’s parents and grandparents were strongly atheist. I’m Norwegian born, my wife Swiss ~ both highly secular countries. In Norway, only a small part of the population is christian. Except for muslims, only some 3% of our population, mainly the elderly, attend any kind of religious gathering as regularly as once monthly. Both I and our Norwegian born young daughters were/are protected from being exposed to religious indoctrination at school. It’s been a crime for over 30 years here to expose children to the bible in their schools. Finding anyone of Norwegian ancestry under the age of 35 who believes in “gods” would be like searching for hens’ teeth. Never having been indoctrinated either as child or adult, I find the arrogance of Juan,in boasting that he can introduce anybody to his imaginary sky fairy, to be staggering. She's like every other Norwegian I've ever met or known in most respects except when it comes to Christianity. She is a ZEALOT. A firm believer in the God of Abraham and an unquestioning member of a Wisconsin synod Evangelical Lutheran church. She raised us children to believe and follow the same and sent us to Lutheran schools, insisted upon it. She was not influenced by the prolific nature of Christianity in America, she brought her extreme zealous faith in God and Jesus from her home country. Which I find bizarre, as Norway is not a heavily religious country and was not especially religious when she lived there. I met a Lutheran minister in Norway once who told me he was atheist

Good luck bringing me back 😂😂😂. Ive never been a Christian, grew up in a secular country and a secular household. There's nothing to bring me back from cos I've never believed in any deities.

Question about feelings: what exactly stops us to consider feelings totally imaginary? Why do we consider them something "real"??

This guy references the case for christ totally oblivious to how unreasonable thay is, its amazing, i kinda think he is a troll cause who would reference fucking lee strobel to matt, its wild, but he also seems pretty genuine, its really sad if he is for real

Just curious - why do so many Americans say 'based off off' when that is not correct and they could just say 'based on'?
