@@hatorade1031 sounds like my kinda girl. I couldn’t master the pottery wheel but I found a way to make a hunny pot that looked like it had been thrown.
That's definitely a new way! I clicked quickly because I thought maybe Cristine mastered the marbling in water! .... but you surprise me with a new technique!
I find smooshing the polish on a ziplock bag, and then picking up the marble with a stamper and stamping it on the semi-tacky 1st colour coat also works really well.
@@slphelan1998 I ordered right at launch and got it the following Wednesday. Did you order the collection box? And if yes did you order anything else with it? The collection boxes are ready to ship (last collection mine shipped 2 hours after launch) so if you get just the box it tends to come much quicker. Also even if you get the box but you add anything else to the order it can take longer as well. I’ve waited almost 2 weeks for an order and I only live 2 states away from the distribution center. I hope this helps and I hope you get the polishes soon!!
I’ve been doing this design sooo much lately, but by picking up a concoction of nail polish with a wide brush and swirling it on the nail. It looks amazing!
Depends on the look you want. The unicorn skins are flakey so they’ll both look the same, so you just have to decide if you want it holo or more iridescent/duo chrome.
It's beautiful but also seems like an easy way to ruin your brushes and taint your lighter shades 😅 using an old taco brush or spare paint brush seems like a better way to distribute the added globs of polish
I haven't had that issue cuz I did what she here, to "float" those colours/toppers/etc. I'm adding the "marbling" layer in top of a thick and still wet coat of colour (preferably second coat, just like she did here). And I'm adding the marbling colours/toppers/etc from the brush in globs - I *do not* wipe off all the excess from the brush as it comes out of the bottle. Then before I put the cap back on the bottle, I wipe off the brush on a cloth/paper towel just to be sure I didn't mess it up. Oh! Especially if it's like a creme/solid colour polish, I always check to make sure I didn't get any glitter or whatever in there, kinda hard to remove it from the nail if I even notice it right after applying LOL
I have used seperate brushes before, and I prefer the other method. No matter what though, the polish take an age to dry, and I'm impatient 😆 So I always _always_ wipe off my top coat's brush. When using a seperate brush, here are some tips I use: - Use a brush that is similar to the one in the bottle, so you can get it in/out easily and the polish on the nail & brush won't have time to dry out. - If using a small artist/paint/etc brush, don't leave polish on there, trying to remove it later is a pain, wether it's made of synthetic fibers or natural. - Try decanting polish from the bottle. I've tried it into a different empty bottle, or even a mini polish bottle. I prefer either mini glass jars I dip an art brush into, or use an empty cheap mini nail polish bottle that fits one of my regular size polish brushes, so I can reach all the polish at the bottom, no matter how little I put in there. Wow these comments were long. Sorry! 😬
Just wondering not related to video, I was checking out eBay for collection boxes to see what I have or don’t have. And i notices a TON of fake boxes especially for the Unicorn dream collection. And other boxes going for hundreds of dollars lol. Has anyone else seen these fake collectors boxes?
Make sure you're not applying too much pressure or anything. You really wanna just ghost the plastic over the new blobs of polish and kinda gently pull it around.
@@kayenjee For this she specifically says you want the second coat of the base coat to be wet still. You're essentially swirling all the colors together. If you put a top coat on that ruins that part of it. You typically put a top coat in instances where you're going to use something that will otherwise pull up the base color (for example if you're using nail vinyls or stickers).
I’d love to try this while it’s still winter ❄️ but my order still hasn’t even shipped, and I ordered within the first few minutes of launch…even if it ships tomorrow (Monday), I won’t get it until the 2nd week of February. Just a tiny bit frustrated 😩 why do my HoloTaco orders take so long? I ordered a washer and dryer from another company (online) the same day and it’s already here!!! It literally takes almost a month sometimes, and I live in the US right along a major interstate. Love HoloTaco but hate waiting so long to get it!
If you look at their website, i literally says it can take 10-12 days, or something similar to that, for orders to process when theree are new launches due to the high volume of orders at those times. When I order outside of launches it only takes like a day or two for it to ship.
@@marit_reitan I’ve had that same problem even when I’ve ordered outside of a launch…ordered some items for my sister-in-law for her birthday this last summer (between launches) and it took almost 3 weeks to get to me. One day short of having them for her birthday. Even an expedited order took over 2 weeks. It just takes a long time to get my HoloTaco orders no matter how or when I order😩
That's such a bummer ☹️ I'm not sure what your situation is, but I've noticed if I add anything extra to my order during a launch, it takes waaaaaaay longer to get it. Shipping speed for me is pretty reasonable if I order just a collection box and nothing else. Like even ordering individual bottles of the new formulas takes forever to get to me.

A fun thing about this too is that Protective Peel is optional. You don't need it to achieve the look.

Should the same plastic wrap be used for all fingers or do we need to have several pieces prepped?
I would assume that it would be better with a different piece of plastic for every nail

Just wipe the brush before putting it back in the bottle. But if you load the brush and float, you usually dont cross contaminate colors
