    I hope everyone enjoys this video and that it helps you out a bit when you're water marbling!! As a quick note, I said you can also use Elmers Glue as an alternative, but it is water soluble so tape and latex are better options! Sorry for the mistake as I'm so use to recommending that as an alternative when doing gradients/ombre nails -- Anyways, thanks so much for watching, you guys are awesome!! XO

    chap stick is also a good substitute for the latex. once your polish is dry the residue on your skin will literally wipe off with a napkin

    Nail polish that also works- broadway, la colors. Just do not use #20 in pearl pink color. Broadway Pink #20 does not work well. But they are inexpensive good to waste. Do not pull out in, pull inside out , do not work with first color you dropped in. Vaseline also works around finger, but have to do as you go and use plenty.

    The only frustrating thing about the tutorial is the brands recommended. Where I live, we don't have OPI or Essie. I'd have to buy those online on a website that ships internationally. We suck in the nail art department. In fact, I've never even seen things like liquid latex for nails being sold. But since I've never seen a decent nail tutorial from my home country, I have stick with the good but foreigner ones.

    Another tip is: after you dip your finger, you're supposed to clean around your finger while it's still in the water or else the remaining polish is gonna lift and get all over!!!! ✅

    • @hannahroxnails

      it may be the angle of the nail when you're entering the water. try at a slight angle to see if it helps, or even more flat, it can all be trial and error depending on the shape of everyones nails :)

    Elmer's glue won't work for protecting the skin because Elmer's glue is water soluble. It'll just soften the glue

      If you're a crafty person and have it on hand, Mod Podge might do a darn sight better than elmer's glue. I believe Mod Podge is still water based, BUT once it's dry, it takes quite a bit to mess it up again, so it should hold up to a dip in water.

    Does using nail polish thinner on thicker polish help? Don't have new nail polish always for water marble.

      @kimberlyhaller5356 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anwesha S Kaul yes. You can thin it out with thinner & get the polish nice & smooth again first.

    I'd have to use tape or glue. I can't use liquid latex due to having a latex allergy.

    another thing I've found is that quick dry polishes are a no go, which seems obvious, but there are some formulas that are surprise quick dry now, as in it's in tiny tiny print on the back of the bottle but literally nowhere else. so beware of that.
