That could have been the most epic Box of Yogg-Saron in history if it put you in the position to survive longer. You had Elyssiana to remove bombs next turn if it did somehow. Nice game though, definitely a hard counter to the deck.

Is this deck better than the normal non highlander controll version?
I just had a match that likely made the mage opponent disenchant his Puzzle Box. First he plays it off the new turtle - gives him secrets and a fully loaded awesome board...and Doomsayer. So I trigger all his secrets and let him blow up his own board.
Later he is in fatigue and casts it as a last ditch....it casts nothing that can trigger until the last spell - that paladin heal+draw cards for 8 - heals my face back to full health and kills himself with fatigue lol.
would it be that bad to change these kind of effect to "if your deck starts with no duplicates"?
Maybe. Some madmen might run the singleton cards in a non-singleton deck so that if it goes to fatigue they can play them. You wouldnt be able to do that anymore after that change.
I have a feeling all the luck for the next year got all used up just drawing the box. Was none left to actually win from it. lol

That card definitely should never have been printed. 4/5 that kills a minion for 5, that isn't a legendary (hence can be played two copies per deck), is a mech so can be pulled with omega assembly and Dr Boom hero power, AND given to the class with some of the best removal options to begin with? What kind of drugs were they on when they made the decision to release that abomination?
@@exantiuse497 its for 4. Its 4 mana 4/5 mech which deals 10 damage with battlecry if you have 10 mana. Or what you ment with 'for 5'?
@@exantiuse497 It's not so bad on its own, it's really Dr.Boom that's the problem. Because you forgot to add that it also has rush.
And if I didn't think I was fed up with warrior already, the bombs counter singleton
Yesterday I played against a Bomb Warrior against my Highlander Mage, on wild. Not a single deviation from the standard list mind you; carbon copy deck. And of course, they won by brawling my Dragoncaller Alana and having their minion survive
How good are reno and sepheris really though? Is this deck really stronger than cyclone mage?
@@arnaudthouvenot929 I mean that Kripp stated the deck was top ten and pretty good, but to me it just seems much worse than the other mage decks, which in turn might not be the best decks either as they contend with decks like murloc paladin and battlecry Shaman that are just insane.
This deck just seems medioker to me. Fun perhaps, but not that strong.

Paladin quest absolutely crushes control warrior in my opinion. I have yet to lose a game against one and I’ve played a ton of these matchups.

I was playing Quest Pally, had a huuuuge immortal board of eggs/whelps and 8/8+7/7s, which had been frozen for 6 turns and then mage got Plague of Death off the Puzzle Box. Praise Yogg, but oh man
Yay! Nice to see Reno decks are good. It’d be a shame if their mechanic was easily hard countered by the best deck of the format. A deck that has numerous ways of generating the counter cards if the de k doesnt run them..

Bomb Warrior is a hard counter for it, but Reno Mage is not bad

I just played an arena. Discovered puzzlebox off prim glyph because I was behind. Played it and put us back equal. Then a dune sculptor gave me reno off an icicle and I killed his renewed board the following turn. Then I won with a forgotten torch ping. GLORIOUS RNG hahahaha
has anyone had success with the mage quest?
at 10:12 why does warrior attack the messenger raven instead of face with weapon? He would have won the next turn by hitting him in the face with the weapon's second charge.

This is how our smaller dog reacts when our larger dog goes down the stairs faster than her. She feels she’s being left out of playtime so she cries until she catches up.

Control warrior is the best deck in Standard, perhaps, but for sure not in the game.. With my Wild Reno control mage, I usually beat any Wild control warrior, which in itself is probably better than standard control warrior.
Never lucky on those 7 bombs.
How is this the greatest game he’s seen in years? He’s playing a fun deck but didn’t get to use any new mechanics, and played against control warrior with triple omega devastator and their typical mech/bomb BS. I’m glad he enjoyed it but thats just why I don’t play ladder
