I played invoker on my second game of DOTA2. I thought the way it worked is that you pick one spell, and that's just the one you have for the rest of the game. I invoked Sunstrike and never even tried to change it. We won, and to this day I maintain a 100% win rate on that hero.

My first game ever I played online not knowing anything and I clicked on Spectre because I was a little edgelord and she sounded and looked cool. My team gave me position 1, gave me all the farm, told me when to press R and we actually won the game. I think about that one game way more in my life than I ever thought I would, despite the memory being real fuzzy a decade later. Everyone was just so nice given the circumstances. Can't believe I won with such a difficult style of hero for a new player. I would go on later that week to begin believing Razor was the most broken character in the game and be sort of right since the proscene abused Razor so much no one wants to see him again.
I remember when i first pick riki, i was so happy i wasn't feeding, i was just sitting over there with brown boots, my team was mad lol

I just ran across your content for the past few weeks. I must say, you made me re install dota and play again. I am Ancient 4 rank last TI7 and from SEA. i am on a losing streak due to the change of gameplays and patches but for the most parts the toxicity of SEA players. Your reviews about low ranks made me realize the purpose of this game is to have fun. Please upload more of this. Thanks a lot and more power 🔥
The key to SEA server dota is to mute all of your teammates and play your game. Win or lose, zero care. It's about all you can do when every second game you will have a griefer pudge support, solo safelane (since no-one cares about protecting their carry), and 5 core teams.

@@squiky00 Not really smurf - I used to be in ancient, but after deciding to spam a PA battlefury -> rapier -> BKB -> rapier -> Aghs build, i've dropped down to low archon. :)
Games are usually lost due to team suiciding on the other side of the map, or taking fights they can't win, or I go 30/0 after picking up the first divine and winning.
It's quite exciting. :)

This is actually something that works in herald. Since there's no clear objective or proper ganking everyone just chills and the game goes on for 40-60 mins everytime and the teams with the more carries get farmed and the other team just can't contest
So true thats why at 1 match i have enemy mag, dusa and morph and i was just yelling at my team to end early and we won
@@jiet8348 it's rare that you get an early end in herald. But maybe I'm wrong. I should defo look up statistics
@@tarunrobin8576 if you are playing a carry or semi carry support, you just have to be so efficient on the map that there is no place else left on the map for them to farm except to push or go and teamfight
@@tarunrobin8576 The cases where heralds end early is when the team thinks they are strong and then run it down mid and the enemy jsut cant stop them then they just win, not coordinated but the enemy is just too behind
yeah i play pa in herald mostly and i can confirm every game goes to like 80 minutes and i get 6 slotted and win
I love how jenkins puts himself in the shoes of the herald players, like he is not condescending about his approach on their decision making. He simply comments about "if i were new, what would I do"... he does not mock heralds for their mistakes, but he understands where that mistake is coming from. What a good lad, Dota should hire him to make good quality tutorials in the game.
Yeah I'm new to the game and I would love to have guides and tutorials made by Jenkins it would be amazing, my favorite Dota content creator so far.

he should do a "there is a imposter in the game" series. 9 heralds that try to win, and one guy that tries to lose. At the end they need to guess who tried to throw on purpose. So the imposter needs to lowkey throw without anybody knowing.

My boy invoker sees the game like no other. Let's buy atos so we can hit our spells and then instead of boosting those spells we buy right click items. But honestly his spell usage for invoker is way above herald. Item's and stupid deaths explain why he is herald.

He was truly a mixed bag. I liked in particular the fact that he seems to use atos to put the enemies in place but then he pushes them away with deafening blast so that he misses his other spells

I build invoker with Wex Excort build with MoM and atos
The kill patern is just slow them and do aclarity + mom
And it was huge damagee ,

@@ICE-ph7cv Your rank is too high and you don't notice it. Archons know the rules of the Game yes but their fuck up ratio is higher.
Legends are archons who think they are good because they farm better but are more toxic and worse teamplayers.
Ancients are way more skilled than legends. But their tactics are the same.

that is no challenge that is super easy
giving me flashbacks to when I first started. Calibrated at 900 MMR. I had no idea how to play the game, never bought regen. Just stacked damage items and auto attacked the creep with the lowest HP hoping to get a last hit. Everyone picks carry, everyone farms, everyone just wants to get as many kills as possible.
You know, thinking back, I always thought certain heroes were OP. I'm sure a lot of other noobs thought the same thing. I'd drop into a game and there would be a tinker or a PA that would absolutely destroy everyone, then fountain dive over and over again.
When I think back to this, I realize that those players were probably smurfs, and that's why the hero seemed OP. Everyone sucked, but here's this 1 guy playing 1 hero and just destroying everyone easily.
Invoker using atos to root, then sunstrike. Proceed to use deaf blast to miss sunstrike is just 👌
The idea of invoker buying Rod and going for SS + Meteor combo ganks is actually a very good strat, it makes Exort build very strong but only if enemy heroes can be nuked and not str heroes.

Most are down between 35-45mins now my guy, a lot more fast paced. You do get the odd 1hr+ game, but they're few and far between

that invoker is smart, he bought rod of atos and maxed out exort so he can one shot sun strike meteor combo on hero plus it's cheap and all lanes cant afford bkb yet
at that level of skill that works
i think the invoker bough dps items to compensate for the luna and after watching the clips im damn sure the invoker and the chaos knight won the game by having regular iq, (the rod of atos is probably to silence lion since he is the only hero with cc which basically gave them and edge on the early game, really good sound thinking.)

As an invoker player, Meepo/Chen/etc. are all more difficult mechanically. Invoker is just harder intellectually lol
Yeah invoker just takes longer memorize spells and cooldowns, but you don't have to micro other units.
