The early 80s was the best time to be Canadian. The music was totally AWWWWWWWWWSOME.

Nope. Late 60s to mid-late 70s. The Guess Who, Gordon Lightfoot, Steppenwolf, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Chilliwack, Stampeders, Lighthouse, BTO, Trooper, April Wine, Prism, Nick Gilder/Sweeney Todd, Streetheart, Max Webster, Rush, etc

@@OMGWTFLOLSMH Wrong. The early 80s were actually better. Besides, you're cheating. They said early 80s, giving only half a decade, but you compared that to a full decade, late 60s to late 70s. Anyway, even with your cheating, you're still wrong. Here's why: The Payola$. I could just stop there, but there's even more: Loverboy, Platinum Blonde, Skinny Puppy, Images in Vogue, Toronto, Bryan Adams, Rush, Chilliwack, Parachute Club, Tom Cochrane, The Box, Men Without Hats, Streetheart, The Northern Pikes, Strange Advance, Kim Mitchell, The Spoons, Gino Vanelli, Leonard Cohen, Doug and the Slugs, Pursuit of Happiness, 54-40, Glass Tiger, Rough Trade, Gowan, Martha and the Muffins, Triumph, Aldo Nova, Saga, Helix, Teenage Head, Strange Advance, Chalk Circle, Grapes of Wrath, Mitsou, Jane Siberry, ... And don't even start me with the late 80s, or the 90s, the pinnacle decade of Canadian rock music.

Her singing voice almost sounds like a much higher pitch of Geddy Lee. I remember coming across headpins on my free Spotify account while listening to Canadian aor and Hardrock and I remember categorizing my playlists, and I strictly put all the Canadian music, even if it's Bachman-Turner Overdrive Gordon Lightfoot, streetheart, or harlequin on a playlist called Rock From The Great White North implying of course, music from Canada. After I've heard Harlequin sweet things in life, the next song was. Don't It make you feel like by Headpins. I was taken back by the bass riff composition as well as Darby's voice. I like the fact that I find bands I've never heard of thanks to Spotify and TH-cam.

The Headpins were a great underrated rock band. Darby Mills is a phenomenal vocalist, while Brian McLeod was a great musician and producer. He had an ear for Music. But Darby was a powerful singer, her voice was made for hard rock. Thanks for sharing the story of "Don't It Make Ya Fell", Darby

Darby, I still have my Turn It Loud and Line of Fire. I still play em. They are both mint. Picked up a Marantz computer linear tracking turntable while stationed in Germany and brought it home. I don't need to buy repressing's of all the great albums. A few of us kept em all from the 70's and 80's in mint shape ! One of the very best hard rock bands Canada offer up. Thank you for the music and memories Darby. Your still a babe! Cheers from Utah.
