Congress needs to reassert their authority over these rogue agencies as well. These agencies DO NOT have any rule making authority, they are simply enforcement.
So the myth that we all knew that EV charging isn't as cheap as those of social media say it is. It was always a scam. I remember in my old Chilton's repair book there were Federal models and the California model (emission) add ons that other states didn;t use. This was for my 77 Chevy Blazer.
It's not a scam, it's just not something the regular public thinks about. They don't realize that public charging costs 10x more than charging at home which severely impacts the long term savings that is supposed to offset the additional up-front purchase price. It costs me between 5-7 cents per KwH to charge at home. The nearest supercharger costs 37 cents per KwH, and some upwards near 50c/KwH. My Tesla averages about 330 watts per mile, which is about 100mpg. It's stupidly cheap to drive it if I charge at home. I've already saved over $1000 in gas costs this year alone. If I had to pay the public charging price I might have saved less than $200.
@wjrneo2 the price of electricity is higher in California than most other states. So you're still paying higher here. The cost of electricity is around 50% higher in California than in AZ and NV for example. SCE charges for tier 1 is .32 cents per KWH and tier 2 .41 cents per KWH. That is what SCE charges me for my electricity. Are you able to break it down exactly to what your car takes to charge? Or are you estimating it. Also what tier are you paying in when it comes to your bill. That is if you are a SCE customer. To my knowledge the power providers are asking for a rate increase in the next year or so. You cannot apply your savings if you say what they to people who live in apartments and cannot charge there. Also it does not apply to those who cannot afford solar panels and or batteries in their home. If you are not a California resident you will pay less than here. If you are a SCE customer and reaching the tier 2 pricing your bill is considerably more. Also SCE has only one plan for time of use for those with an EV. From SCE website for the TOU-D plan for EV. "Customers must confirm ownership (Or lease) of one more more of these clean energy technologies when they enroll, except those currently enrolled in TOU-A, TOU-B or TOU-T. Baseline credit: None The rates shown reflect pricing for customers who receive both delivery and generation services from SCE. Your rates may differ if you receive your generation services other than SCE. The email I have from SCE for EV owners and this is only for them. The estimated cost is 1686 a year and an increase of 558 dollars. This will go up when CPUC approves the rate increase. Those that charge at home will have a higher electric bill. Than those who do not.
@@wjrneo2 Yes it is a scam. Those that live in apartments cannot charge at their location. They have to use public charging unless their apartment complex has them. Add to the already high cost of living in California it's a scam to think that people actually save money. One cannot generalize everyone that does not own a home to have solar and maybe batteries at their home. If they do have a home they may not be able to afford the upfront costs of purchasing and installation of them. You are leaving out the total charge per KWH that electric companies charge. In California the cost almost 50% more than Arizona or Nevada for example. Not to leave out the power companies here are asking for a rate increase. For example my SCE KWH charge for Tier one is .32 and tier 2 is .41 respectively. Are you reaching into Tier 2 if you're a SCE customer? Unless your power provider breaks down your EV charging regular use its a guess and if the vehicle is telling you how much you have used per KWH to charge how accurate is it? Is it calibrated to give you an accurate breakdown? Also with the time of use plans SCE has there is only one for EV owners and it's about $1200 to $1500 more a year for that plan alone. No state should price people out of their existing vehicle nor ban the sale of new cars or trucks. If someone wants an EV that is fine but people should have the choice and not the government forcing that choice.

There won't be separate CA specific cars, as that was already tried in the late 70's - and failed. Remember the CA-only 305 V8 powered Corvettes? Companies decided it was cheaper just to design and build them to CA spec and sell them nationwide. CA still too big of a market to ignore. Sorry Nebraska (and any other sane state!)
I won't support any mandates that put limits or restrictions on what vehicles we can use or own. If the law states carbon free cars totally, then EV's today cannot be sold either. Because EV's have tailpipes too. At open pit mines. At the power plants that charge the EV cars. Then when the battery has expired in the EV, then it has a tail pipe too, to recycle the batteries properly. So no cars today are carbon free,,,,,,,,,,,,
There is a simple answer, simply MOVE out of California. Allow the Liberals turn on each other and consume themselves then go back and start over, this time correct. As for those special emission standards demanded by CARB, simply institute a FEDERAL Regulation that California MUST comply to Federal Standards, and if they demand more above the Federal Standards the State would be accountable to institute the upgrades at a state level.
This charge by the mile is already charged to truckers. It's called highway use tax. Most people have no clue about all the hidden charges they're paying.
Because they don't handle antitrust legislation ENFORCEMENT. Bezo's can't keep a woman around so he's decided to take out his anger upon everyone. This is what single moms create: Angry sons who end up with zero game with the ladies who can easily be co-opted to join the big tech cults. If he had a STRONG father - he probably would be married with screaming kids and actually doing something productive rather than creating a giant monopoly and then paying off daddy gov't to not enforce the 1914-15 Clayton Sherman antitrust acts. He also wouldn't be stewing with anger and paying NGO's to lobby local county and city planning commissions to allow his stupid sweat shop "distribution centers" in your backyard. And No. I"m not "blaming women." I am saying / pointing out that there ARE consequences when we have weak men in powerful positions. Bezos is a perfect example of that.
What I’m thinking is they want to increase or force the purchase of new vehicles. What this then does is increase the pollution as the mining of batteries and materials will increase. Even if we put into account of recycling centres. There is a lot of money and lobbying going on here.
They push this electric stuff as what is going to save the environment no matter the cost. That way they can charge whatever they want. When in fact it is just as bad or worse.
they already do via fuel taxes. I doubt it's legal for them to do both in the private sector especially. EV don't currently pay those taxes though, so it will end up on them.
Insolvent government who can't control their spending keep on digging deeper into tax payers finances.😡💀😡 looks like devil moved from hell to California!👹
The charges she mentions are not a tax on the gasoline cars, but on gasoline purchases, so almost a dollar a gallon. If it was a $20,000 charge on a new car the dealership might as well close down now as customers are not going to be buying anything at those prices. I thought the EV fiscal charge was going to be a licensing fee added to the yearly licensing registration for an EV, not a "per-mile" tax.
FYI, Oregon is not the only State.. Just about all States in USA have that mileage tax on heavy commercial trucks already in place. that is nothing new or just limited to the west coast states. Just lookup ELD in the FMCSA website if you want to verify.
I know someone that bought a used Tesla in Oregon and to get the title and tags on it cost about $750.00, which I assume there is kind of a road tax that is included. Another cost to think about if your thinking your next car will be an EV,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I know this has nothing to do with cars and consumers...kind of... If you are curious and want to do a bit of research to back this up, california is also working on banning diesel electric locomotives in the state as well. Fully electric locomotives can NOT do what diesel electric do as far as the amount of work and range. This will drive up the cost of all goods across the country as some of the biggest Ports Of Entry are in california, and most of those containers are shipped by rail. Just food for thought.
They should keep building the cars as normal, let the states who push mandates suffer. The citizens in those states will figure it out and will either take action or suffer. If I am a car maker and am going to lose money selling in that state why bother they aren’t breaking the law by not offering that model. I know many business will suffer down the chain, but again it’s up to the citizens of that state to action.
What is happening to "WE THE PEOPLE" is too much government control. We don't need anymore Lawyers involved. Organize and make sure elected officials understand that you now what they are doing is unconditional. They are getting away with this because they are organized and enough people believe that it is good for them. We need to go on offense.
The TH-camr is wrong they don't even have to check the mileage of your car anymore because of obd3 it will automatically phone to the government and also to your auto manufacturer as well as your car insurance even if you are speeding or accelerating hard they will still find you because of obvious reasons
I thought the California law simply said that you could not sell a new gas powered car after that time I didn't know it had rules against reselling gas powered cars in the state to a third party when they're used that also may be blatantly unconstitutional because it's interfering with disposition of private property.. Hopefully Trump will be far more effective this time going Toe to Toe against BS like this and for the stroke of a pen making this stuff history and ending this nightmare for millions of Americans.
Most of these idiots who pass mandates like this are still driving gas cars or pickups. But for everybody else you must switch to an EV NOW!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
2030-2035 Is when some Western countries and states will stop selling ICE cars. Drive your ICE car to the end, then buy your last ICE car a month before the mandated expiry date. EV cars will be under constant revision for many years to come and buying a car that in being developed is really not a good idea.

@@happyhotspring3501 I don't agree with the mandate, I think its short sighted and stupid. It's going to hurt people a lot by reducing or even completely eliminating their options for transportation, and for some people public transportation is either not available or not economically viable. It needs to be struck down permanently. CARB and the EPA have overstepped their bounds.
I drove an EV for 10 minutes and wanted out of that stupid thing. It's like wearing 150 condoms and pretending you're "having fun" - um no thanks!
:41 into the video. First thoughts. 15-minute cities. Elites first.
BINGO!!!!!!!!! We have ONE person on here that f'n gets it. I have to lead these other genius's to water....
Impeach Gavin Newsom asap!
Thumbs up #229!!
Hi Lauren, haven not seen you and Paulie on together in a video in awhile. I hope that he's alright. You enjoy a splendid Christmas with your family. Trump needs to get rid of CARB.
Ladys gonna look surprised no matter what she hears with those brows!
The very last point is with out a doubt, the best one!!!
Guess I'm moving to California to start selling mules and horses and buggies I'll make a fortune.
Watch it! Commiefornya will enact a manure tax for road apples from horse and buggy drivers!
🤖 They'll just fine you for mule emissions 🫏💨😂
I won't support any mandates that put limits or restrictions on what vehicles we can use or own. It's every persons right to live as they choose, if they want to go green and save the world, good on them. But for the rest of us who have full lives and no more tolerance for guv restrictions, get rid of it. I love when beautiful women tell the truth, you don't know how rare that has become
I think the only solution is Californians need to take their state back.
We are fine here! Keep it moving
If the law states carbon free cars totally, then EV's today cannot be sold either. Because EV's have tailpipes too. At open pit mines. At the power plants that charge the EV cars. Then when the battery has expired in the EV, then it has a tail pipe too, to recycle the batteries properly. So no cars today are carbon free,,,,,,,,,,,,
Happy Saturday Lauren, I'm already ready for spring 😁
Today is the first day of Winter and l am ready for Spring too!
It's insurance gouging. Insurance coverage is already mandatory, and increases are applied all the time.
Aoparently, the EPA had nothing to say about companies like Amazon completely destroying Riverside & San Bernardino counties.
If i were an automotive manufacturer i would not comply nor sell in California
COMMIEFORNIA
Car makers need to boycott California, quit selling cars there.
Time to build my own car! Oh yeah! I did that... And its turned out to be some serious bnbnvhigh octane fun!
What I’m thinking is they want to increase or force the purchase of new vehicles. What this then does is increase the pollution as the mining of batteries and materials will increase. Even if we put into account of recycling centres. There is a lot of money and lobbying going on here.
IT has absolutely NOTHING to do with the "environment dude bro." - It's about CONTROL. Stop it with the environment/"Emissions bro!"
Lauren I hope you moved to a safe state by now because the government is definitely going to make it's move on you soon for being so honest.
Family makes it very difficult. That may change in the future. But I would leave in a second if I could.
They push this electric stuff as what is going to save the environment no matter the cost. That way they can charge whatever they want.
When in fact it is just as bad or worse.
That's funny taxing cars for miles driven.
They have been charging commercial trucks for driving miles in each state for years.
they already do via fuel taxes. I doubt it's legal for them to do both in the private sector especially. EV don't currently pay those taxes though, so it will end up on them.
Insolvent government who can't control their spending keep on digging deeper into tax payers finances.😡💀😡 looks like devil moved from hell to California!👹
Commercial is different than Private, especially when it comes to tracking a persons location.
No fines if you don't sell in those states
With all the new car hype I haven’t heard anything about California banning the ability to buy or sell older cars
I’d love clarification on that
Remember they see everything you do driving no privicy
The charges she mentions are not a tax on the gasoline cars, but on gasoline purchases, so almost a dollar a gallon. If it was a $20,000 charge on a new car the dealership might as well close down now as customers are not going to be buying anything at those prices. I thought the EV fiscal charge was going to be a licensing fee added to the yearly licensing registration for an EV, not a "per-mile" tax.
Why do you people keep electing the same legislators and governor?
Commrado adopted c.a.r.b. , had to go to Wyoming to buy a catalyst converter that was $500 cheaper.
Ummmm my understanding is you can only put so many chargers in an area so not everyone will be allowed to install a charger
Now where'd my saddle go?
Oregon has a per mile tax on CMV for the last 40 years
FYI, Oregon is not the only State.. Just about all States in USA have that mileage tax on heavy commercial trucks already in place. that is nothing new or just limited to the west coast states.
Just lookup ELD in the FMCSA website if you want to verify.
That is commercial, you can do almost everything to a company, but not to a citizen.
I know someone that bought a used Tesla in Oregon and to get the title and tags on it cost about $750.00, which I assume there is kind of a road tax that is included. Another cost to think about if your thinking your next car will be an EV,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Politicians only see citizens as a revenue source. They don’t give a dam about what the PEOPLE want. Newsome HAS to go!!!!😡😡😡😡😡
I know this has nothing to do with cars and consumers...kind of...
Elon musk even said California's infrastructure isn't ready to go all electric he said maybe in 20 or 30 years
They should keep building the cars as normal, let the states who push mandates suffer. The citizens in those states will figure it out and will either take action or suffer. If I am a car maker and am going to lose money selling in that state why bother they aren’t breaking the law by not offering that model. I know many business will suffer down the chain, but again it’s up to the citizens of that state to action.
Gas has always been the cheaper choice.
5:55 good one
I don’t get how the politicians get re elected in Cali.
What is happening to "WE THE PEOPLE" is too much government control. We don't need anymore Lawyers involved. Organize and make sure elected officials understand that you now what they are doing is unconditional.
They are getting away with this because they are organized and enough people believe that it is good for them. We need to go on offense.
End the Single Family housing zoning Mandate
Iam just going to buy a 25 yr old imported Hilux diesel, ez to maintain no nannies and i can disconnect the odometer
The TH-camr is wrong they don't even have to check the mileage of your car anymore because of obd3 it will automatically phone to the government and also to your auto manufacturer as well as your car insurance even if you are speeding or accelerating hard they will still find you because of obvious reasons
Make Vehicles Great Again.
You watch Oregon & Washington will be next
California becoming like Europe
Most of these idiots who pass mandates like this are still driving gas cars or pickups. But for everybody else you must switch to an EV NOW!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
2030-2035 Is when some Western countries and states will stop selling ICE cars. Drive your ICE car to the end, then buy your last ICE car a month before the mandated expiry date. EV cars will be under constant revision for many years to come and buying a car that in being developed is really not a good idea.
I say let them arrest everyone for not complying, 350 million of us. hahaha
All New automobile should leave California
So many house fire are goin to be happing
This zombie believes what politicians say and do😢
Now that a stupid law ps why biofuel is not being standard.
WTH
Those were all Democrat states that you listed once they go red it’s over
LOL
They just don't understand that natural gas to heat your home is a lot less than electric heat same thing for a car and they're already trying to jam electric prices sky high
Ohh they understand alright. They know exactly what they are doing.
Manufacturing clothing creates a carbon footprint too. So when are they going to start banning clothes. 👕👚🩳👞
It's not about carbon footprint. It's about totalitarianism.
Soon enough, they also want us to have only 2 changes of clothes of the same style.
