He is now with the Grace foundation in Auckland and looking forward to his new life in recovery.

Happy New Year. Thankyou for giving Every Man and Lady a chance for people to see that no matter how hard things become. There is always someone here to hear your story without any judgement..... And in my opinion ? Actually helping to change lives for the better. It the. Best when someone truly believes there is just 0 ZERO HOPE... But in a few conversations, so much similarity connects within people. So no such thing no hope!!!. There is hope all around. Happy New Year. May more hearts find real inner peace and redemption. It takes a stronger Human to ADMIT when what they see in the mirror is not right...... And go through the hurdles of ups and big downs. To push onto having a better inner being?? Thang hanging onto the life of Hell. Happy New Year.

I have to admit I've never been in a boy's home or youth detention centres. But being raped, bashed, terrorised you name it some from the age of 9/10/12/12/13/14/15 years of age. How the FK does that help one to except law and order when that's what the LAW DID? FK ME this shit breaks my heart and would 200% send me on a rampage of destruction. I truly hope sir your story today and the many many many of the same FKNG story find some light in your lives. I personally feel rotten that this is what the governments of Australia and New Zealand did to there young whom were missguided by offering them the above. Now I know for a fact 100s will call me what ever you gotta call me. Sticks and STONES. But as a human being. I'm so sorry what life offered most at the tender age of 15 years and younger. These government's owe $100s if MILLIONS in damages as it was the institutions that bead the current situation. Give these kids pride , love, EMPATHY. HOW THINGS COULD OF BEEN SO MUCH BETTER. AT LEAST NOW SIR YOU CAN SEE THE DARKNESS AND THE LIGHT. ALL THE BEST. YOUR STORY REACHES OUT TO MANY. AND THAT COUNTS . GOOD LUCK EVERYONE. AGAIN IM SORRY WHAT MY GOVERNMENT'S HAVE IMPLEMENTED AND AGAIN THE CYCLE IF DESTRUCTION FROM THERE STUPID CHILDREN LIKE LAWS. 👍👍

Someone made your walk of life into a NZ movie this year called ''Coming home in the Dark'' bout the Boys homes back in the day.. adults who were ment to protect and help these young boys knew what was going on, they all knew & most turned a blind eye making our males confused, disturbed, violet, not to be fukd with wicked evil men.. Iv heard alot about you Mike through older family & friends .. bad bad things too, some that u mentioned here, but I heard all the details making you a scary asf human,but hey Im immensely happy for you pulling yourself through, mentally, spiritually, emotionally !! Can't imagine some of the things this guy has done but his honesty and turnaround are inspiring.
As a survivor as a child of the state..💔 I commend the brother❤️ luckily when I became a ward of the state in NZ... Bortals changed to Weymouth. My mum experienced borstal and all what this brother has told about state abuse😢💔 and within whanau.
Prisons are a business..💔 for government & private institutions to profit off. Someone has to fill the quote 💔 and it's never corporate criminals... Why?

Grace foundation is the light at the end of a very dark tunnel they helped me when I was incarcerated and when I got released I wouldn't be where I am today If it wasn't for them
Chur Mike like you said you have a lot of knowledge & history brother i wish you all best in your next chapter we had a chapter back home and yes i became a member my life changed later in the years but still have alot of my brothers in the movement for the last 20years its been about my moko’s to teach them as much as i can for there journey and future turning 60 this year there are days when i speak to our lord which straight away i feel clear headed so jah bless to you and your whanau Mike ✊
