This cooking session definitely had my mouth watering. I really enjoy these videos where you end them by winding down and enjoying a meal. You two are the best.
Awwww man!!! Neva had I eva thought to do that with fish, clams & shrimp!! Thanks for the idea!! That looked/smelled so delicioso!! Great catches with you and Heiko...and the vid, as usual, is epic!! #nUmberoNeFaN
Glad you enjoyed it. I think as we begin to learn more about the back country we will fish those areas more often. Especially when we can’t get offshore because of weather issues. Thanks again!
I think I learned more about cooking during the lockdown than at any other time in my life. We could not eat out at restaurants so we learned how to cook for ourselves. There is a lesson in there somewhere…
The food looked so good! Captain Dan Great job on the beautiful flowers that you gave to Elizabeth. If you didn't buy them, you need to step up your game. So good to see you two pray together!!
Thanks! I was telling someone else earlier, we learned more about cooking our favorite meals during the lockdown because we could not eat out. We just decided to learn how to make our favorites at home including sushi and even dim sum dishes. Thanks for supporting the channel.
The fishing as always was fun to watch. The meal made my mouth water. It looked amazing. I've never cooked fish in a Marinara sauce but I will definitely try it.
@@FloridaFishingCouple 90s sound amazing! I was planning a vaca in marathon but due to a medical thing I had to cancel and enjoy the 15degree weather in Michigan!
That dish looked amazing, I may do something similar this week, I really wish my brother and I could come down there and fish with you and heiko, that just took me back, we would kick butt,,, on the fish lol especially where you guys were, absolutely a great video, thank you for taking me along 👍🙏❤️😎bye
Thanks for coming along. We really had a great day in the backcountry on a day we otherwise would not have fished offshore because of the wind and waves.
I have been following you, Miss Elizabeth and Dan! ... When are we going to do that Catch, Clean and Cook? I guess I should probably come to Florida, huh? lol 🤣
Great video! I have cooked Monkfish and other seafood in tomato sauce , but never tried snapper. I typically cook clams and other seafood in garlic butter , white wine sauce, but might have to try marinara sauce next time. Keep making this type of content.
Love your videos SMAJ. BTW I ended up buying one of the shirts from Everyday Outdoors that I asked you about (this was a long time ago). I let them know that I saw the shirt on your channel
We call that dinner a seafood melody here in Maine. You should also try the same thing in a chowder base but use cream it’s the best invention since toilet paper.
So the hooks are designed to rust and rot away over time which is why we don’t use stainless steel hooks. Even though we used circle hooks this fish was hooked down in the gullet making removal of the hook impossible. Cutting the line and leaving the hook lowered the mortality risk rather than trying to remove it in this situation.
So that’s regular spaghetti sauce??? Looks so good but I wasn’t clear on that part? And man that garlic bread looks good too THERES two different kinds, what’s the flavors on that bread
Well, it was a seafood spaghetti sauce that we made previously but had a ton of sauce leftover. So, we took all the seafood out and froze the sauce. The difference in bread is: Capt Dan LOVES garlic bread with paprika, garlic and parsley and Elizabeth is more of a purist - so hers is plain!
I agree with Carson...backcountry fish will taste different because of salinity and water quality, along with a change in their prey/diet....just my opinion.
Here is a video we put out that shows how to make the sauce. It’s different fish but the sauce recipe is the same. Fast forward to the 11:00 minute mark and the cook starts right around there: th-cam.com/video/AcmY1dy-KTY/w-d-xo.html
@@FloridaFishingCouple cut it in half. Season with salt pepper and olive oil. and bake at 400 degrees. Probably 15 to 25 minutes. Depending on size. Use a fork to flake off the squash. It’s so good. Hope y’all are well. God bless.

Beautiful Snook Dan. Good show. You will hit 100000 subscribers soon
Keep that thought Stan! 🙏
Great video! That back country fishing is so much fun. I did it a few years ago out of Bud & Mary’s.
You are right. Wish I could afford another boat! I would buy like a 17 foot Maverick for the back country.
This cooking session definitely had my mouth watering. I really enjoy these videos where you end them by winding down and enjoying a meal. You two are the best.
Thank you so much for the great comments. We will def do more of the cooking in the future.
That’s a good day fishing!! But a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work!!
You got that right! Never a better saying than that!
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for checking it out Stan.

Great video!!! Can't wait to live down there full time and catch the tasty fish!

My favorite back water use a jig with root beer swinging plastic shnook go crazy for them and everything else too

It was! So good!
Awesome trip guys!!!! great video for sure
Thanks so much. 🎣
That looked delicious. I would have eat it over rice.
Yup, that would be great as well. Some risotto and red wine would make it perfect!
1st rule of the true Everglades Backcountry(lake Ingraham) hands do not go in the water when releasing fish! I got stories lol
You know, I was thinking about that when we were out there. That’s the last time you will see me doing that again! 🦈
Take your fly rod out next time back there 🤙🤙
Yes, that is def the plan. Just need some new flies. Catching snook on a fly rod should be fun.
We call that dinner a seafood melody here in Maine. You should also try the same thing in a chowder base but use cream it’s the best invention since toilet paper.
Sounds great! Will def try that for sure. Do you think that recipe might be why toilet paper was invented? 😂🤣😂

We were in the back of Barnes Sound. Lots of little creeks and running water. Find the running water and you will find the fish.
Great to see you brother… sooo he cut the line n left the hook in the snook n threw it back??? Wont it die

Cubera grows more and is prettier than snook no one throws them back ... fishism 😂
Are there Cubera in the backcountry?
Dan you can’t tell with sauce you have to taste plain
Yes, I agree. Next time we will bake or fry it to see if there is a difference.

I’m sure you’re right - with the tomato sauce, we couldn’t tell. Next time we’ll have to try it with just some light seasonings.

Why did you cut your prayer out ?
Thinking the same thing. We all need as much God as we can get.
Our prayers are personal and we don’t want anyone ever thinking we are doing it for show. Appreciate the encouragement to share.
how long have you two been married
We got married in 2018 - so 5 years this July.
