Nice one mate. Lost a lure to a big Flatty this morning was spewin because I make my own and lots of time goes into them, 2 minutes later here's my lure floating on top!

Plus I know you talked about a Bimini.... There has to be a way to suspend a bed above the floor and then cover yourself with a mosquito net... There are too many...tie off or potential tie off points...

Absolutely the best camp and fish channel on the web! I love the new boat. I do prefer your video of you camping on island rather than the boat, it's just more interesting when your on land. Please continue camp and cook on land although I love the new boat.

another really authentic vid. Pretty sure that first tuna you lost bent out one hook on the treble, didn't it? Have another look at the footage when you hold up the lure. Man, a 10-hour drive - that's a mission. You Aussies certainly travel some distances without batting an eyelid (from a NZ fan)...

There's a HUGE draw back to aluminium boats if you want to sleep on them. THE BLOODY WAVE SLAP AGAINST THE HULL! You captured it perfectly. You also need at least 300M from the nearest shoreline, to avoid the mozzies. Sounds like your learning the hard way. Just like all of us did. ALWAYS anchor in the Lee of the Island. BTW Rod. You definitely need a zinc anode on the bottom of that leg, otherwise your leg will corrode away internally.

OK, you catch more fish than me, but it took me one weekend to build a flywire enclosed fish room. Got the flyscreens , fly door and big sink from the tip shop, roof tin off facebook. Solid stainless steel table I had. Connected the water to the sink, the drain into the sewer.......Done. What a pleasure to fillet in my fish house. Built it easy and I am 75 yo.
    Cheers........

Could you please let us know the best way to preserve a catch like that. Do you gut the fish before transporting it, or is it fine to leave them in till you fillet the fish a few days later? Thanks again mate 👌

Hi rod, I am so desperate to bring my family to Oz from the UK for at least 1 snorkel/ attempt at spearfishing for me, we have 4 children under 10 so the cost is massive.... 5 minutes and 30 seconds. Your drag or slip, is to tight. You hear it stock and then snap. If you make it more loose, you can play the fish tired. And land it into the boat! I have seen this before on you’re channel. Try it……Easy job. Tip…. If you adjust the slip when the fish is on the hook and running away, you can make the perfect adjust! Why?….You never know how big the fish is you are catching and how strong it is! So adjusting while hooked. And not before. At 19:55 min it’s perfect……….Verder, do you have a emergency beacon on your boat? Or a epirb? Any sort of communication ?
Great content.. regards from Terschelling- the Netherlands, holland. Jeff.

not sure if you have considered ways to throw a tent over the boat for easier sleeping. Those rod holders fore and aft on both sides look like they could hold tent poles and give you something to drape the hootchie over?

We do use wire depending on what type of fishing we are doing. Not as much when casting lures unless it’s mainly Mackerel being targeted👍 unfortunately this time it rubbers me off up on the braid so wire wouldn’t have saved me
