    The one piece integration is mind blowing!!!! Rarely would such a detail pop out to me like that, however YES you are correct this is not just a crankset it is an engineering/artistic masterpiece well worth the 1K price tag!

    I´ve had the SI Hallogram crankset (39/53-172.5 mm) for almost 10 years and it is remarkable, outstanding and better than any other crankset in the market. Lookinf forward to buy the new SSIL2...From Colombia, South America.

    I have the Hollowgram with a stages left crank on my Synapse. A tiny bit heavier but no big deal. The shifting is very smooth.

    Campy's weight with chainrings and bearings. Total(include BB) weight Campy superrecord are about 648g, Shimano DURA-ACE are 674g, SRAM RED are 641g, ROTOR 3D+ are 696g.

    In my modest experience with TCR Advanced, Viper Verbier and Canyon CF SL all three with Rotor 3D+ (30mm axle), the bottom bracket stiffness is much more important than the crankset stiffness. As you said, mounting it on a home trainer is the best way to see the stiffness of the bb area and by far Canyon and TCR showed less later movement than the Verbier. Then you have to ask yourself, do I really need that much stiffness? I am 90kg, with an FTP of 310 watts and I love going out of the saddle on steep climbs, but still my Strava times with the different bikes really are quite the same (comparable wattage). For performance, I'd say go with lighter wheels and again, it only makes a difference if you are racing and you have to frequently change pace (out of corners, or chasing other racers). Last point is the look and feel and I'd say it's probably the most important thing for us recreational riders, you have to love your bike so you enjoy taking out for a ride and maintaining it. Those are my two cents :-)

      Ya, aero helmet makes a measurable difference. Better wheels make a measurable difference. Better fitting kit makes a measurable difference. Stiffer crank doesn't make a measurable difference. That's why you always see wind tunnel data for wheels but no performance data for cranks...because the performance difference is almost impossible to measure.

    Hi there, thanks for the video. Are you sure there are two spindle models, Si and SiSL2? I have the impression there is only one type (in two different lengths 68mm for BB30 and 73mm for BB30A).

    Hello. This Cannondale crankset makes me think about a change. My new frame will have ITA thread (70mm width) and I would need your help to advise me. Could you make a measurement of a Dura Ace 9100 and this crankset spindle? With an ITA30 BB I would be able to use this crank but in the other hand, I have to buy a biger spindle, I would say at least 130mm. Am I right? Thank you for your informative videos.

    Dear Daniel, dont mind, but I notice there`s a lot of talking and less exact infos in your videos/reviews. Have you mentioned any specifications of this crankset ? What kind of bottom brackets will it fit ?, where can we purchase it separately ? Will it fit a Campagnolo or it`s just for Shimano groupsets ?
    If you dont want to mention them in your clip, you can add them in the description. Would help a lot

    This crankset is it compatible with Shimano BB-R60 BSA BOTTOM BRACKET?

      No, shimano BBs are only for 24mm diameter spindles. These have 30mm diameter, and are used in BB30 and PF30 standards

    Kudo for their modular design which is not really much heavier than the spider and spindle integrated Sram Red 22 BB30.
    (172.5 53x39 =557g).
    Sram Red BB30 could potentially be the super light crankset for their price if we ditch their porky chainring and use something else lighter (like praxis ring which will save another 50 grams).
    But i just like the look and modular design of Cannondale crankset better.

      I think you dont have to if its centerlock.

    Let me give you a small advice on a production. When you attach little bit of acoustic foam (any form u like) to your walls your voice start to sound much much better. I am working with sound and if you would like to go deeper into this please message me.

      Try celling and top side of walls behind bikes, that hanging on the wall. For wmall room it doesent really matter where to put it. Also maybe door, maybe window wall.

    My enduro crankset weighs 650 grams and is alloy, I think manufacturers can do better in road since they are way less subject to strees and impact

      Not the crankarms, but the chainrings yes - they come in one piece.

    That is a fantastic bit of bicycle engineering. And it looks great. But if you participate in a cross country race and come in 12th...would it make a difference if you had that crankset instead of another? Probably not. You'd still be 12th.
    It does look sharp, though. The chainrings looks like chainrings should look...but they still have an edgy killer aesthetic that is really cool.

    Dura Ace (also hollow) of same spec is actual weight of 624gm, but shifts much better. Shimano first created hollow crank arms for XTR M950 in 1996. Cannondale went to this cheaper 'forged' hollow arms replacing the SL (also named SISL) that was a lighter true Hollowgram two piece arm design.
