Thanks for watching. I had some little mistakes here and there according to the tab i made. The tricky part will be aiming in slides and having good intonation while doing it. Try to focus on the target fret and less on the movement of your hand. Each time you slide you have to losen the pressure on the frets or you'll burn. Just the right amount of pressure. There's also fast passages and a diminished passage that's very nice but hard to get. Practice slow. I'll answer your questions on the comments
Song is in F Major
I F (F A C) or extended Fadd9 with a 9th (G)
ii Gm (G B D) or extended Gm7 (G Bb D F)
iii Am (A C E)
IV Bb (Bb D F)
V C (C E G)
vi D (D F A)
vii° E (E G Bb)
Also passing chords G#dim7 (still not sure of direction but F dim is the same notes and that creates F7 resolving to Bb)
And G7/B being a double dominant or secondary to the V but goes to a I with the bass on the 5th
Eb is a flat VII chord that's commonly used (from F mixolydian it should be Eb Lydian but sometimes can be other)
For improvising remember that
I F Ionian
ii G Dorian
iii A Phrigian
IV B Lydian
V C Mixolydian
vi D Aeolian
vii° E Locrian
play Dragon Attack, have a great bass solo in 1:45
This is a classic! I like your timings! Can you do a bass cover of 'Angel Of The Night by Angela Bofill'? That would really be amazing!
You listen to the bass in this song and you really gain a whole new respect for Deacon's bass lines and creativity. This could have been such an easy song to stick to the root note, but Deacon's bass lines really made this song shine
Indeed. That bass line sticks to background but shines by itself.
I've heard this song many times in my life, and only today noticed how creative his bass part is
Beautiful!
I love the live performances because it really lets the bass shine even more because its louder in the mix
You’re right. That’s It.
Deacon is a great bassist. When you're in a band with Brian May and Freddie Mercury you kind of don't get the credit you deserve.
Yup. He's the greatest bassist. I admire his talents and skills for playing a bass. He was really way too awesome and perfect to play a bass. Ever since I was a kid, I always used to listen to deacon's performance. 😊👍
Roget Taylor
Sadly happens to a lot of bassists
huh
@@nimrodescojedo1408 Hes not better than geddy lee tho
Just wanted to say that you're the best and most usefull bass channel out here. I learn more just looking at the tabs and your hand movent than people telling me what to do and what not to
THANK YOU FOR EXISTING AND UPLOADING. KEEP ME COMPANY FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE ♡♡♡
thanks, that's the idea
@@CoverSolutions your lesson video are useful it has improved my skill and also make my bass playing faster
Very good i also learn a lot =) thnx
In my opinion, John Deacon is one of the best bass players ever! Do check out the bass line for "Crazy little thing called love".
I had no idea the song was even this long.
Radio edits tend to neuter longer songs. Lots of songs from this era were a good bit longer than many people recall because of the radio edits cutting solos or entire passages or what have you
Superb job. I doubt many people realise how special this bass line is. John Deacon is just an understated master of the bass, the more I listen the more I hear, the more i listen more.
Wow. Never listened to that bass part very closely. Monstrous.
Love that track
Didn’t realise just how comply the bass line was
Fantastic rendition, thank you for sharing 👌🏻
Every time I try and play a bass line for a Queen song it reminds me just how amazing a bassist Deacon is. If only I could ever be that good!
You make it look so effortless and easy. I appreciate all of your lessons. Thank you 🙏🏻
This is one of my favorite Queen songs.
my favorite bass lines from Deaky are on this song, the outro is so clean,so tight,so perfect. Those runs are effortlessly brilliant.
Awesome, I dare you to attempt “The Invisible Man”.
omg yes that would be sick!!
That ain't much of a dare tho
Sam Carroll trust me the bass line is so difficult
@@gruty3174 Then I might be just complimenting myself then because I can play it, sorry to be rude
Yes please such an underrated tune
Thank you CoverSolutions, I am absolutely going to make a request on Patreon in the future. You write tabs incredibly well and I am SO thankful that you do not avoid video game music (those can be some of the most intricate and complex bass lines). You are a blessing to me and my newfound journey into bass. Keep it up.
Every time I watch one of your videos, I realize just how fantastic many bassists are/were whose brilliance escaped me until I saw what they did laid out before me in your videos.
Wow, this song is filled with clever licks. I had no idea. And I thought I knew Queen.
Is there any song this dude has not covered on Bass? Love it! Helps me learning so much.
Excellent, most tutorials do not see this part 5:28
This is one of my favorite Queen's songs.
I was waiting for so long for you to cover this!! I’m so excited, you did awesome! :))
Great cover. I play this song in my band and have had to muddle through due to sub-par transcriptions and cover videos. This is certainly the best I've seen and heard and will be using this version in future.
Awesome! He even played it the same way Deaky did - the signature thumb picking, LOL
Im going to practice this although I'm not good at all with the slides on bass
Try to use flatwound if you haven't :p
It is very easy to slide there
If you are not good with slides you should try The less I know the better from Tame Impala, it’s awesome for practicing slides
Give it away by Red Hot Chili Peppers is also a good song to practise slides
Love all the Queen songs you've done! Please do some more Queen!!
gracias hermano de corazón!! le haces un gran favor a todos compartiendo tu talento, saludos desde el sur de Chile
I just love this song, great cover!

Such a great bass piece
You and your awesome tabs help me a lot! Thank you! ❤🎸🇧🇷
Awesome as usual. It's amazing to see how some of these baselines actually look. Kind of gives you a whole new respect for the instrument. I have 3 songs I personally would like to see, but I'd be fine with just one.
Anyways, my requests are:
Even Flow (Pearl Jam)
Hell Yeah (Rev Theory)
You Get What You Give (New Radicals)
I've been waiting for this for so long
Good job on this!
This song has the greatest slides, IMHO. So tasty. John Deacon is such an underrated bass player.
