I used Community Patch (global modification of AI and bug fix) forums.civfana... for this battle.

Anytime Venice is in a game I root for them.
Morocco conquered Thebes, soon defeated by Assur;
Assur conquered Morocco, soon defeated by Indonesia;
Indonesia then lost many cities, at last defeated by Arabs;
Arabs then lost Mecca 10 turns later, and eventually lost the game.

Man, I feel bad for the Indonesians at Jakarta. That was the single most devastating loss of civilian lives due to famine brought about by war. From being the most populated city at 33, they went down to a population of 20 from starvation alone.

I think what made Arabia lose was the endless fight to take over Istanbul
Nah what really ended them was how much effort they expended killing Indonesia. It made them weak

As soon i seen Babylon getting the Great Wall i know they would have much chance to win, this wonder make home capital almost invincible. It allowed babylonian army to go all-in with big tech units.

Josh C Yeah, but even then the AI is just so fucking BAD at playing Venice, drives me nuts seeing them fail to press the advantage or at least play halfway intelligently. One day maybe...one day
Support Babylone from the begining
Polenisia hat a BIG chance to be the only southern civilization ready for the northern invasion. But instead of subduing venice at all costs the engaged Saudi Arabia before they were ready. They then needed to let teh 2 northern empires bleed each other out while tehy secured the south. But they allied with babylon, tipped the scale of the war and ultimately they lacked the power to stop Babylon.
Babylon's tech advantage play here. Theyre also the biggest city in the North
Seems to be the case with these battles that the first civ to build the Great Wall wins because their capital cannot be taken early
I had hopes for Hwaii, but they just had to go take Istabul instead of of Venice or Jakarta

This time Dutches very disappointing, as always Korea too defensive and static, Babylon usually it's defensive for concentrate in science but this time taking the chance for expanding and win, amazing.
When the ottomans invaded babylon there was a chance that babylon will fall in a 2 front war. After they managed to put down the smaller opponent and managed a peace with the ottomans, i was sure they will outproduce them, and it happened. They invaded them, crushed the main army and after that they could just invade everyone because there was no force that could stop them. Like when you have muskets already and the AI have mostly medieval tech, you produce musketman in each city of yours and have like 3 armies conquer 3 different places in the map for you without trouble.

The end was so quick I did not even notice it.
They finally won one. After not taking Addis Abbaba early I thought they were going to disappoint again. And then not being aggressive and leaving Copenhagen sitting there for so long while the Arabs grew.
They couldn't take Copenhagen because the Dutch (Amsterdam) came to their rescue, and to make matters worse a brief war broke out between them and the Arabs.

LOL, I was wrong, the casualties they suffered from the west was from attacking Gao too. No wonder they failed. They tried to take two cities at once, Gao and Copenhagen. But then the Dutch army intervened and saved Copenhagen, so Babylon was only able to take Gao.
Battlefield 1 music when they game is close to ending.
When Gao fell, the winner was decided.
I knew it was over when the Soul Society showed up.

Korea easily had the best placement. But as always they focus on science and defence. Babylon is jack of all trade. If they get enough space they take everything.
I wanted Arabia or any "new" civ to win this game so badly, what a pity it had to be Babylon which won one of AIBattles already ;/

i'm always looking korea. science and units of korea are very good. but korea is too defensive
Babylon also has good science and their unique unit makes for really good counter-invasions if they get attacked early on

It's not a problem in a normal game, they would have won a SV by now. The AI cannot understand it is a Domination game.
I know you can turn off their personalities but I don't know if you can change a Civ's behavior.

Very predictable AI game. Still think west vs East was your masterpiece, so many unexpected twists in that one, and assymettric starts for everybody.
How do you actually disable the AI from liberating civs?
