mikhail always asking questions wanting to learn and clay having a wealth of knowledge makes a cracking duo could watch these pair all day long. top work
I may not be good..I may not be careful..but I appreciate the enviable lifestyle the 2 of you have chosen to share with us. What a blessing it must be, to be alive & growing in such magnificent surroundings. So real yet surreal at the same time. Cheers guys!
I cant imagine being that old and not having caught a fish yet! Not judging at all, everyone's different, fishing is just a big part of my life, like many of you here. So glad you were able to help him fix that right up, it does seem like he caught the bug!
Congrats on catching such a nice big fish! I hope you'll teach Mikhail how to use the action of the rod to play a fish as well, so that fighting a fish makes even more fun!
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach him how to catch fish and he'll eat for the rest of his life!! Great lifes lesson for your nef, another awesome vid Clay cheers 🍺🍻💯
Great stuff fellas, get back on the spear clay and show the young fella while theres still time to master the art of stalking and spearing flounder. He will absolutely love that. It activates something primal in you when you have a spear in your hand plus flounder are one of the best fish you can ever eat. 👍
What a great fish to start your fishing career off with . Sure beats my yellow eyed mullet caught at the local boat ramp in a bait catcher. Clay you need to get him into some nice snaps and a kingfish for a proper adrenaline rush. Well done Michail.
Nice catch bro’s. Clay write down salt on your grocery list. 😂😂. I remembered when y’all got to the houseboat that you were out. Good chompin and chewing just the same. Being from southern Louisiana I know how good that Cajun seasoning is. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Hey clay great video mate! I went fishing out at mapua the other day right near the bout ramp and caught only a couple small kahawai and yellow eye mullet. but there were so many people paddle boarding and kayaking around they must of scared away the fish! But I really enjoyed the content keep it up!
That's awesome!! Go for a fish and get a nice wee catch, head over to the house boat and cook em up as fresh as can be. Can't get much better than that!!
It's always cool when you go for a fish on the little island, always has such a beautiful view!! That whole area round there basically from Nelson heading southwest is one part of the country in really want to visit, have never been round there. Even just from the places you go in your videos, can see its just beautiful scenery. Cheers guys take care!!
Hey Mate, please pass on CONGRATULATIONS to Mikhail from me, his casting is awesome for a true beginner and that fish was brilliant for his first fish!!!!! Just one tip, I noticed the reel Mikhail was using is lacking line on the spool, would definitely be worth adding some more line to fill the spool to about 3mm below the lip, will increase casting distance heaps. You can add line to the top till it is filled to the right level then run all the line off in a straight line down the orchard and refspool it from the opposite end which will put the new line from the bottom of the spool at the top, just be sure to join the two lines with a good knot. Cheers Neal. P.S. We are allowed to go fishing again as of Wednesday the 13th May after 2 or 3 months of no fishing because of lockdown in Victoria, all other states were allowed, but not us in Victoria, hunting wasnt allowed either, hope it is allowed again now also.
I think mikhail needs an opposite handed reel. Looked awkward when he caught that one. Also, I’m surprised, for boy that’s from waiheke, he hasn’t been fishing before , especially considering it’s an island where you can’t not see the ocean unless you close your eyes. I was raised on waiheke and have fished at least twice a week since I was about 7-8 years old, weather it be setting nets or casting out a line. Anyway, good on boys, looked like a mint day out!
nice one clay congrats to mikail on the first fish. just be bloody careful with that knife, the way mikail had the blade edge facing towards his hand.. I closed my eyes as I thought if he was to slip its heading straight towards his hand that's holding the fish. please teach him the right way bro I can see him seriously hurting him self doing it as showed.
yeah bro. Once we get the rats under control. Right now they just dig al the fish up I bury. Thanks for the advice...We need all the gardening advice we can get :)
@@ClayTallStories Maybe that's a solution to the other rat trap not working, set some up around some buried heads? Awesome fish for the young fella by the way!!
May you Rest In Peace 🙏🏻💐🙏🏻💐🙏🏻💐🙏🏻
mikhail always asking questions wanting to learn and clay having a wealth of knowledge makes a cracking duo could watch these pair all day long. top work

Level 2 Thursday
Personal preference, Butter only for cooking fish.
Is this the one who passed away
Yes. He drowned, and my son almost drowned trying to save him.
More people need to learn to turn their phones off every now and then and just take a few minutes with themselves and their thoughts.
I found winding in slow have more luck
Don't know if anyone already said but you can use your fish heads and the rest you don't eat in your garden bro.
