Thanks for the drive. The Harbour Inn is worth a stop . I've been there and put our signed dollar bill on the ceiling with the rest of them Understand its the oldest bar in O C.
Thanks,🙏Jay. Always love to watch your drive-throughs. Especially when you go by places that we've stayed at in OC. It always brings back great memories of the times when I and my family and friends vacationed there.
It is amazing to see what has changed since the last time I was there. Seacrets was ok but had a couple of bad experiences and did not like going there again. The Festival of Lights is cool to go and see. Also they have the Ocean City Comic Con next month.
We have attended the Winter Fest in the 150 acre North Park probably a dozen times over the years. Best Christmas lighted displays. Over 750,00 LED light bulbs. They finally increased it from a cheap $5 to only $6. Wonder with all the time it takes to set up if the town breaks even. Some of the restaurants are only open Wednesday to Sunday. We stayed at the Princess Royale off season and they had a lot of people there on Valentine's & Presidents day weekends. Was surprised when Phillips had three restaurants in OC they all were closed before Thanksgiving. Nothing better this time of the year is grabbing a cup of coffee and driving to see the sun rise .
Thanks for the video. I will be down for the 4th year in a row during thanksgiving week. Festival of light is so much better being able to walk through!
Ty again for the recommendation for the blessed mother my wife loved that store. I’ll be back there black Friday for jolly Rodger’s sale and hope to get a little fishing in
Wow what a difference in the off-season. I like it Jay. Easy travel on the coastal highway, no worries about parking. I have been taking notes on some of your favorite food places, beside the pizza & crabcake recommendations. As a local I value you & Ashley's opinions of where else to eat in OC, beside the boardwalk venues.
Viewer from NY! We come to OC a few times a year and have been for the passed 7 years. Bad Monkey hands down is the best restaurant for breakfast/lunch. It’s always busy but the wait is never too long!
Thanks for the tour. Haven't been to OC since 2015. Always stayed at the Best Western on 60th, I think it was the Sea Bay Inn. Their off season rates were as low as $29/ night!!! And I heard the Tram will not be coming back for the Summer of 2025.
$29 a night is insane!! That's ana wesome price. I hear the Oceanic Motel is super low prices too, but it's only for a few weeks before they change to in season rates. The tram, as of now, is still undecided. I believe they are waiting to see if a lawsuit will be filed. The police report hasn't yet been released either. I think once they find out if a lawsuit is filed, and the police report is done, then we'll find out more. Terrible situation, but I hope they bring back the tram.
@@ReelJayB Yes, $29/a night! back in late 90's early 2000's. Back in 99, gas was $1/gallon too! I would never stay at anything like the Oceanic. Last time I was in OC was 2015. And I only go in the off season. Even off season, prices are too high! OC is nice and maybe one day i'll visit again. In the mean time, it's staycation!
We have heard they aren’t doing the tram next year also. If that’s the case, we will vacation in Wildwood. We are seniors and walk one way, then ride back. Thanks for the show
@@ReelJayB It would seem the mayor should get involved. They keep building up the town, but maybe losing some of the older crowd who have been coming for years. Harry Kelly would have gotten the tram back
@@robertbeacham4314 As of now, I believe they are waiting to see if a lawsuit is filed. I'm sure once the police report gets released, and notice of any lawsuit, then we'll see the town officials get involved more. Just my opinion though.
Thank you! BJ's On The Water is now Saltwater 75. They bulldozed the building and rebuilt it. VERY nice atmosphere in there. The view from the top deck is incredible. The bagel place isn't open yet, I assume they will be within the next few weeks. Signs are all up, it looked like they were finishing small things last I saw.
BTW a local, long time boardwalk business owner said there is going to be an additional oceans calling in May. He heard it will be metal bands. That’s why they moved around the dates for the spring cruise in and IIRC Springfest.
That would be pretty interesting! I'll have to keep an eye out to see if it's going to happen. Part of me thinks it won't because OC wouldn't allow it? But hey, you never know!
We are coming down Wednesday till Sunday Jay...Besides Hannah's can you tell me what is going to open Wednesday and Thursday? and is Uptown eats still open at all?
IIRC Jay at the festival last year they had separate walking and tram trails. Don’t know what they this year with the boardwalk tram in limbo (which I think is crazy myself).
@ yeah and I think stopping it that would be a shame. Especially for older folks. They didn’t ban motorcycles after that drunk hit and ran after severely injuring that poor kid in Sept. Why ban the tram. (there is a lot of scuttle butt about what really happened and it not being the trans fault-I guess we will see when the police release their report-I do feel bad for both the family and the driver) Considering the hundreds of thousands of people it “interacts” with on the boards each year, it seems to have a very good safety record. There is some talk of using something other than the jeeps to pull it. Maybe something where the driver is right up front. Time will tell.
The whole area, OC, OP, the highways, streets, etc. look so clean, especially compared to years past.Looks like the Govt. there cares about keeping the area looking good? On another note, are property taxes high there?
They do a heck of a job keeping it clean. I see the street sweepers out ALL THE TIME in OC. Even minor things like emtpying trash cans on 2nd street...they do a great job. I just edited a video for living in Ocean Pines, so it's funny you mentioned property tax. That was one thing I brought up, I should have that video out soon. But to answer your question, property taxes, to me, are pretty low. I have a 9K sqft lot, 2,000 sqft home and pay $2,600.
Theres a Holiday Inn located literally right in front of Northside Park where the lights are. If your going for the lights, that hotel is easily within walking distance to the lights. Theres a lot of other hotels in the area still open, and best of all it's off season rates. Off season is a great time here.
Laid up in Harrisburg pa getting my last round of chemo enjoying a ride with Jay on the coast. Hope to get there in 2025, thx brother 🤘
Hopefully last and final?! You got this! Congrats and see you in 2025!
Best wishes for a great recovery. OC awaits.😍
Hope you feel better soon!
Hope all is well my fellow Pennsylvanian.
Thanks for the drive by update video!

Glad you like them and thanks for watching!!
Thank you, Jay, for the offseason drive down Coastal Highway and into the inlet.
Active times, quiet times. Love O.C.!
Yes!! Very quiet!
Just got back for OC last Thursday. I’ll be heading back for Thanksgiving. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the drive. I've been to Liquid Assets. A bit pricey, but very nice. Best selection of wines for dinner or by the bottle.
It is amazing to see what has changed since the last time I was there. Seacrets was ok but had a couple of bad experiences and did not like going there again. The Festival of Lights is cool to go and see. Also they have the Ocean City Comic Con next month.
Thoroughly enjoy your updates and reviews.

Jay the food at wedge is great
What did you get there? We're going to try it next year when they open back up.

I agree. You can't beat that price to see the displays!
I remember before the Clarion it was a Sheraton for many years...Stayed there with my Mom and our Neighbors from across the street back in like 1982.
Yes , Sheraton then Clarion. Now Ashore. I stayed last summer during the week days(reasonable). They did a nice job remodeling. The rooms were clean.
Great review - love seeing all the updates !!!
Best time of year, just passed our place north O.C
We were in OC in October and dined at The Spain Bar. AMAZING!
I've heard nothing but excellent things about Spain Wine Bar.
Best time to come down. Thanks for the ride.🐟
Yes!! Our favorite time of year!
Great video Jay.
Thanks Scott!
thanks for the drive.....
That was a great ride, tnx Man!
Reel jay B the Thai restaurant you mentioned was great very good food I was there Oct 7-11
Wow thanks for letting me know! We're definitely going to check it out.
Thanks for the video. I will be down for the 4th year in a row during thanksgiving week. Festival of light is so much better being able to walk through!
The only time I liked the tram was when it was so cold! HAHA I remmeber a few years we froze. Hope you have a great trip!
Only pink🤗

Jungle Jim location has new local ownership. Can’t say anymore but locals will be happy
Are they moving? Because I heard the hotel opted not to renew their lease.

Jay, these and the food reviews are my faves. Whatever happened to BJ’s on the bay.? Did the bagel place that replaced the DQ in Fenwick open?

@ awesome thanks!
I believe the fence around the Phillips property was there for too LONG.
Inside joke with the LONG fence company.

We are coming down Wednesday till Sunday Jay...Besides Hannah's can you tell me what is going to open Wednesday and Thursday? and is Uptown eats still open at all?
I believe they are only open Thurs-Sun. If your looking for another great crab cake, try Captains Galley in west oc. They are excellent too.
Jay have you heard anything on the waste that washed up on the beach
Nothing at all. It's been radio silent. I'm curious to know too. They know all the ships that pass by.
Jay….You mentioned that Admiral Hotel…lol. Read some of the reviews on it. Will not be staying there anytime soon. 🤮🤢
HAHA wow! I just read some of them, YIKES is all I have to say!
Think for a update keep up with the great work I will see you guys next year
IIRC Jay at the festival last year they had separate walking and tram trails. Don’t know what they this year with the boardwalk tram in limbo (which I think is crazy myself).
