Paradise Beach in Fuerteventura, Hiking and Walking in Cofete 🇮🇨

- One of my favourite spots (if not THE favourite) so far in Fuerteventura. ✨
In this new vlog I will take you with me on the hike from Morro Jable to Cofete (from the east to the west coast) 🇮🇨
I started the day in Morro Jable at 7:30 am (and caught the sunrise 🌅)
I then walked through Gran Valle to get to the degollata de Cofete (video here for this first part: • Degollada de Cofete Hi... , then walked down to the other side of the mountain ⛰️ where you can find Cofete and its long sandy beach 🏝️
The first spot I got to was Casa Winter (link below), a mansion built by the German engineer Gustav Winter. Then I started walking along the beach. There is also a small cemetery in the area.
I kept walking south and reached Roque del Moro, a gigantic monolith 🪨
The west side of Fuerteventura is wilder than the east one, the beach here is unsupervised and there can be big waves 🌊 It is much wilder and quieter, in fact when walking south there were few people (Nudism is common here).
The place is just wonderful, the view from the mountain, nature, the ocean… truly a magical place ✨
➡️ 48k steps, 36 km walking in total today BUT! Uou can also get to Cofete by car 🚗 or get on a bus at Morro Jable (guagua 111) 🚌

Now that’s a walk! What a perfect day to do it on with no wind too. I love that beach, quite erie sometimes as you’re the only one around for miles at times. Great video cheers.

Thank you for another superb video and I must also say that the quality of your productions are certainly improving as you go along.
Without doubt Cofete beach and the surrounding landscape is one of the most beautiful places on Fuerteventura. I first saw Villa Winter some 25 years ago, but in all honesty with its history, I don’t believe it’s a building that I would ever want to enter.
The walk you have just done is one that I have considered doing for many years but now with my age and health issues I very much doubt that I would be able to complete all of it. If others are thinking about attempting it, they may be able to go just halfway and use the bus for the return journey. However, I would most certainly recommend checking as it is running before anyone sets out

Thank you very much! Yep the bus runs there twice a day at the moment, so it would be a good idea to go one way walking and then get on the bus, which saves also a lot of time.

wow, 47,000 steps!! my maximum is about 22,000 in Benidorm going upto the cross and then to Finestrat part of town. You must have very strong legs!
