I can remember sitting in Jacks in Cambridge, one whiskey -laden night, and saw a half-rubbed out chalk announcement that CM was coming to Jacks a week later. Me and my buddy Mike D had been listening to CM for years before. I had seen Sonny Tery and Bownie McGee, Big Walter, and many others but Charlie was our hero, this was the best small club concert I had ever seen. He played all the classics....just great!
He starts out play ing 1st until 6:06 when he plays 3rd but I think in wrong key. Then at 7:31, back to 1st. No 2nd pos on this song. I love Charlie, but I think the 3rd pos was simply a case of grabbing the wrong harp.
This is a freakin' master's degree thesis in how harp can be played...
