Some people think the 2 arcs after are better but theyre smoking crack. Think there was a manga arc community vote back in the day and IA had like 3 or 4x the votes of the second best arc. Basically if you're an anime only, after reze you will be starting to slowly understand where the hype is coming from and with s2 you will see why csm gets hyped so much.
Season 2 of CSM can cover the remainder of Part 1 and all of that content is the Shibuya equivalent. It would just be 12 episodes of non-stop craziness
Denji's relationships with women has always been the center of the story. That's kinda why I wish the anime got 24 eps because I feel like the Reze arc helps solidify that. Though I guess that wouldn't leave enough time for the following arc and I've got a pretty good idea of where that'll end.

That's not what you call movie level animation, movie level animation is when everything has movie level animation. Even during talking scenes, the characters just don't stop moving. Like those Makoto shinkai or ghibli or old classics like akira and ghost in the shell type movies. Not these recent shonen anime movies where the only animation highlights are all action scenes.

I'll have to wait to see the movie, but the way the first season was directed made me fall in love with the anime, which is why I was sad to hear the director changed. I am sure the movie will look great, but in terms of the feel, color grading, composition, holding certain shots etc, I think it's going to go in a direction I won't like as much.

So its not that crazy of a thing to ask. but I do think its difficult to tell from this which style is better. Tbh from an anime-only perspective it's just a very unfair comparison when one has 12 episodes out and the other has 47 & a movie. S1 of CSM is already great and has several masterpiece-worthy moments while as I don't think there's really anything that remarkable about the first cour of JJK and I doubt anyone would really care about JJK that much if it only had 12 eps out so far (and the whole series peaks in the 2nd season, 24 episodes in).
@@baseball_tomorrow-sv9tk the CGI wasn't that good the voice actors were told to tone it down the colors were super muted (think a Zack Snyder film) and there was a very noticable tonal clash with a lot of scenes.

Idk the details around this arc, but I felt the same way about the community and discourse around the show. It was hard to take the show seriously when you feel like you’re the only one doing it (even if you’re not the only one it can feel like it) And it’s not like CSM is the only show with that sort of community, but it’s pronounced given the depth of the subject matter

The dude has some of the most unique and nuanced pen game I've seen in recent years. But unfortunately alot of the people in the fandom have yet to realize it. I do recommend checking out the movie "Look Back" that came out recently, which is based on his One-shot manga that he wrote after csm part 1 ended. You'll really start to see the range of this guy's writing with a story like that

Although, some of the fans hated it and thought Fuji was washed just cause there wasn’t a lot of action.
