“Abelion sheep” is a play on “Ablion Sheep” or “Capri San Cor” (its French so I’m uncertain if I’m recalling it correctly, but something to that effect) which means Goat without horns. It’s what you would call a human sacrifice in New Orleans voodoo, but it extended into other demonology and occult practices due to fiction and superstition, from what I understand. So it’s again the author going way bigger brain then he needs to. Demiurge was making a joke that only a very learned person would get, and through a complete misunderstanding, Ainz replied in a way that, to Demiurge, sounded like he not only understood the reference, but that Demiurge understood to mean “I always thought that translation was in error, given the original phrase was “Goat without horns” but that’s fine.” And the book never explains any of that either by the way. I guess it’s just an inside joke that super nerds like me are expected to get and no one else.
Hi friend, As always, I will try to clarify some things about what happens, based on information from the light novel. In this chapter we are introduced to Victim, one of the 2 guardians that we still did not know.Victim is the weakest guardian of all physically speaking, however, upon death he unleashes an unknown power that once stopped an invasion of 1,500 players when Ygdrassil was a game. Surely this happened in conjunction with other forces, but so far, the eighth floor that Victim defends is considered the most powerful barrier in the Great Tomb of Nazarick. In Nazarick there are two types of NPCs, custom ones and "automatic" ones. The former need money from Ygdrassill to revive upon death, while the automatic ones simply respawn after a while and are naturally much weaker than the custom ones. Ainz reveals to us that, except for the lich he created, all the dead that Cocytus received as his army were actually these automatic NPCs, so losing them does not represent a real loss, because from the beginning they were cannon fodder. Now let's talk a little about Demiurge. His creator, Ulbert, was a player who loved to play the Villain Role. Of course, wasn’t serious and he was only doing it because they were in a Video Game and no one would really get hurt in the real world. He simply enjoyed the more "romantic" aspects of villainy. In that sense he designed Demiurge to be a kind of "evil mastermind" in his role as NPC. But the problem is that he has now become a real being. Demiurge is a being with karma (-500), which means “Extremely Evil”. While characters like Aura or Mare (-100) see living beings outside of Nazarick as unimportant entities, almost stones in the road, Demiurge enjoys the suffering of others (when it is not the inhabitants of Nazarick). And although he is absolutely loyal to Ainz, Demiurge will always try to do as much damage as possible to the people outside, without going outside of his mission parameters. So, when he talks about "Two-Legged Sheep" he is not really referring to an animal, but to humans that he has captured in the Roble Holy Kingdom and keeps them in his workshop on the Abelion Hills(search for @ZhongliArchonofSwag comment he explained the Abelion sheep reference). Demiurge is assigned the mission of finding a way to produce magical scrolls and for that he is skinning people to obtain the necessary material. The scrolls that Cocytus and Entoma used in the previous chapter were made from this human skin. Naturally, since Demiurge thinks of Ainz as if he were a true god, he assumes that Aijnz already knows everything he is doing. That's why he makes a joke of calling those poor people "Abelion Sheep" and assumes that Ainz understands... But Ainz doesn't know anything! He actually believes that Demiurge has captured a rare breed of bipedal sheep. Something similar happens during his conversation with Cocytus. He tells to Ainz about "the courage of warriors" that he found among the lizardmen. But Ainz has no idea what he's talking about, because in his world he was just a simple office worker and doesn't understand things like warrior honor. However, all the NPCs believe that Ainz's every gesture is part of a greater grand conspiracy and they rationalize everything he does or says so that it seems like part of their plan for world domination. Now, it must be made clear that Ainz really planned for Cocytus to learn from this fight with the lizardmen... but everything else was purely coincidental. I also want to clarify something that many viewers missed: When Ainz decides not to "rule the lizardmen by fear", he is referring to what will happen AFTER he conquers them. But first they have to make them submit to their authority and the best way to do that is by making a display of power. The stone giant who throws a huge boulder into the center of the lake is the last floor guardian of Nazarick, Gargantua. Unlike the other Guardians, he is not a custom NPC but a Golem that the Ainz Own Goal guild earned during an event and needs to be turned on for it to work. But despite this they have him taking care of the lake on the 4th floor. The spell that Ainz uses to freeze the lake is Super Tier Magic Creation, which modifies the terrain itself. The real reason Ainz used it was to test his range and also to confirm that there were no players hiding around, because in the game everyone always attacked the one trying to cast super tier magic first. I take this opportunity to clarify that the luminous invocation circle for Super Tier Magic is the same regardless of the spell that is going to be used, because it is not something exclusive to Ainz, but in theory any player who exceeds level 71 can use it, although some of those demand that the player sacrifice some of their levels. (something Ainz doesn't want to do at all, because he doesn't know how to get them back in the new world, so he's very selective with them). Super Tier Magic always takes a long time to cast and the player can't defend themselves, so their party should protect them at that time because any enemy attack will interrupt the cast. Hence, it serves as bait for Ainz to attract a potential player to attack him. Well that's all my friend. I love how Grey this world is getting! ^^
See I understood the fact that the scrolls they were using were coming from humans especially since they have so many to casually use on messages 💀 but the main thing I missed was the fact he was referring to em as sheeps 💀
@@Angel_Rod there are many animals which might have given Nazarik good parchment ( i think! ) but demiurge decided to be sadistic as fuck and use humans

@@KarNeoLeX Indeed, but specifically I think that he's an artificially created angel, not a "natural" angel or at least I understood it that way. Then again, been a while since I read that specific novel of the series. Also: The weird sounding voice in the background is basically just what he says played backwards/in reverse. Since it's supposed to be Enochian I believe.
The big golem was the last guardian we didnt see. In the start of season 1 they named that guardian and its name is "Gargantua" Edit: I just noticed someone already said it but hey might aswell keep it in.
The 8th floor is the largest, and easily the most enemy-dense floor there is, hundreds of high level creatures, and on top of that, there's Victim, who's around lvl 45 I believe, weaker than even the battle maids, but upon his death, releases a massive aoe that applies just about every debuff in the game, if you've played Terraria, it's like drinking Red's potion, now imagine you're fighting through hordes of high level enemies, when you're suddenly crippled by every possible metric because someone accidentaly killed a random lvl 45 monster with an aoe spell, killing Victim is a GUARENTEED raid wipe, in a support sense, Victim is the strongest guardian there is
The Big ass golem you mentioned on 14:38 was The Guardian of the Fourth Floor Gargantua Who Albedo* mentioned on the first episode of the season 1, supposedly its a siege golem who ains activated to throw a big ass rock in the middle, personally ains should've did it himself but it makes it fancy so yeah cool.
Data about Victim: is an Angel, is low level, but has a skill that activates on death that will make all the enemies unable to move for some time, maybe you remember that for reviving Shalltear cost a lot of gold, for Victim the amount is really low, his language is weird, because he speaks saying colors, no joke, that's why you heard something like something on the background while he was speaking, but of course that for giving some sense, they made that everyone hears a normal language The smell at Ains beds maybe you remember someone saying that wanted to cover Ains in her scent The giant golem was Gargantua, one of the floor guardians, the difference between the other guardians is that Gargantua is just a golem, don't think, just follow orders Oh yeah, forgot to mention, Demiurge's voice has the effect of controlling everyone, but that doesn't have an effect if you are strong enough
If I remember correctly the "sheep" Ainz and Demiurge are referring to are humans thats why at first Demiurge was surprised when Ainz asked for the "Beasts" but then he just thought Ainzs perspective of humans is that he sees them as lower, non intelligent animals
One fun fact about victim is that ,in the light novels, victim speaks in the angelic language which sounds like they are speaking in colors. For example, Burgundy Grape Snow Violet. Ainz is able to understand victim through some implicit translation sorcery or something.
That has got to be one of the best reactions I've seen to Crusch's request, lol. Ains demonstration wasn't to instill fear as much as to crush their morale and hammer home how easily he could destroy them if he so wishes. Having them beaten by only one of his guardians will hammer home the point "resistance is futile". Your reaction to the next episode is greatly anticipated.
That large creature that threw the square boulder is the floor guardian Gargantua. As for the sheep, I’d prefer you look that up yourself because it is a shocking thing as to what they really are.
most people notice how demiurge reacts to ains calling them "sheep" and connect that its actually humans specially children women and men from the holy kingdom

It might be because this arc is with Lizardmen and the one is s3 involves humans.
Oh I know we're definitely the villains in this world 💀 but still it's fun to chill with Ainz eventhough a lot of the things that we do to people and other species is wild
