If I hadn't known this was a mod in the making, I definitely would've assumed this was legitimately just Dark Souls 4. The detail, the passion, the art direction: it's all phenomonal. I can't wait to get my hands on this! Major props to the team behind this, thank you!
Have to agree the only thing I can point at that sets it apart from Ds3 quality wise is the cutscenes feel a bit wooden but this is still just a demo so I bet that’ll change

As far as I know almost all of it was in ds3 alpha, including some original bosses design and their locations
Almost every single asset here is just reskinned and thrown together differently from past From games. Not that much of a criticism, as this is just a mod project (and an impressive one at that), but the whole thing is essentially *Dreg Heap: The Game.*
On the other hand, it's really fun trying to spot where all of the models, animations or map assets are repurposed from.
I'm still reeling that they've never made a REAL desert zone in any game yet

In DeS item weight did not slow you down. You just could not pick up more and your character used to drop it on the ground which was very annoying to deal with.

I like usual sky. I was a bit sad of the Elden Ring's sky. Yeah, it is dark fantasy world, it is style of depression, but daym I want peaceful meadow where I can just sit on the ground and relax. I choose the wrong game to relax, I know :D

The dude in the room is if you want to go hollow. If you go as outcast he will talk to you. Also dark sorcerers use luck to cast spells. Since luck is a human thing.

@@rikkabilly The paleman is a character from back when lost was LostMySanity which he would take on pvp adventures, trolling, etc.
IIRC He was primarily doing all his antics entirely with no armour (or at least no helm to show his face)

We already have DS4. It's called Elden Ring. It may not be the perfect game but Dark souls wasn't perfect either.
Okay but how do you actually install it? The instructions are terrible. Mine shows archthrones and then immediately crashes.
Mine doesn't even show archthrones. It's just vanilla
@@iHaveTheDocuments it will if you dump the contents of your demo_(numbers) folder within the archthrones zip into your “game” file found within your steam install. I think we will have to move the dark souls 3 install location to a separate spot outside of program files to make the auto install work as well.
One confusing as shit thing is that the readme tells you to put the contents of the ZIP inside your game folder, which would mean moving the demo folder inside, but it’s the demo folder contents you’ve got to move in.
If you wanna uninstall, you’re going to have to manually remove these files from the game folder, too. Not even uninstalling dark souls will remove them

Did you put the whole folder in there or just the files? Because it won't work while the files are still in that folder.

I'm assuming I need Dark Souls 3 in order to play this mod but, is anyone familiar with modding to make it more easy for me? I've played convergence in the past, and I want to swap between them a little bit more seamlessly. My issue is I don't know how to save the save files or move stuff around conveniently. I'm sure this won't get any replies but if anyone sees this I would appreciate some help or a resource in which I could get a bit more help
