Other than, that this was absolutely wonderful, and Terry Matalas is our modern day Gene Roddenberry, and should be producing all the next star tracks to come..
1:23 The flyby of the enterprise, D, as she head towards Jupiter is almost exactly like the shot of the enterprise D flying by in the last moment of the opening credits.
Nice seeing an Aussie in the Star Trek TH-cam space or am I being presumptuous. Loved season 3 of Picard. Great reviews thanks. Will you be reviewing other shows other Si-Fi in the Future?
Everything in this episode was just spot on, with its timing on action, humor and love. I couldn't have asked for it to be any better. Bringing everyone back together as they did from multiple generations was just what this season needed. Now when Captain 7of9 was about to say her go to warp order, I was just dying for her to say....Get 'er done...🤣🤣
No, this cube is a remnant of Unimatrix 01 that survived destruction after future Janeway passed on the virus. The transwarp conduit to Jupiter was constructed off screen and it took decades for the remnant to make it to Jupiter with the transwarp network requiring to be at least partially repaired/reconstructed to get to sector 001 to finish what they had started so long ago.
8:31 I was truly horrified to see Queen Alice there, what had become of her, with the way her body practically blended or melted into the metal and alloy of the supercube. It made me think she'd been given one of Nurgle's gifts. It wasn't disgust I felt -- it was true horror. 9:16 That cloaking device came from the very same Klingon Bird of Prey that Kirk and his crew stole from Kruge and his warriors over the Genesis Planet. Why didn't they use its sound effect instead of that canned TNG cloaking sound effect? 11:07 People are saying that Crusher Slays bastards here. No, she didn't. She Crushed bastards. 17:50 Now THAT ship? She shouldn't have been given to Azati Prime for display. The Enterprise-D should have been given to Jean-Luc Picard as his personal property.
I watched each episode and followed-up with your excellent analysis, these should really be on any DVDs as extras. A couple of minor points, why did the 'Borgified Fleet' attack the Space Dock? Surely the under 25s on the dock would also be 'Borglings'? I also wonder how the Borg Queen contacted Vadic via her 'Changeling' hand? While thinking of the Borg, the diseased Queen was obviously unaware of Jurati as the new Borg Queen?
❤🎉So many feels in this final opus! The build-up this season was phenomenal! I'm surprised that there was no mention of Jurati's Borg faction and why she didn't also come to the rescue. Guarding the Transwarp aperture must be of greater importance. All is right with the world again. A spy, pirate and thief are in command of the flagship. That's a helluva combination to be sure. A enhanced Data, a surprisingly complete and competent officer Beverly has become besides her medical duties. No matter the appearance and posture, Worf will always be a warrior born. Admirals Crusher & Picard are proud parents. We know that Beverly is staying in Starfleet medical, but Jean Luc, had plans to go off with Laris, which hadn't been mentioned since she gave him leave to check on his friend. That's my big ? #2 no mention or contact with Kestra since Deanna was forced into play by Vadek. All in all, I am weak with emotion and very pleased with the ending. The "Q" appearance kind of threw me. If their is a continuation his appearance to Jack and crew will definitely bring a lot of baggage with it.
What a great final episode of Star Trek Picard and what a fitting way to wrap STNG in a way it didn't get several decades back. So much was good about this episode and series. All I can say that it was a fun ride and what a great way to wrap up each of the characters' story arcs. I'm going to miss this show.
What I like about this finale is not only all the Easter eggs within but how they Borg here was a single amalgamated ship with but a few Borg left. If I remember correctly, they were named dropped on a Discovery episode as being gone by the beginning of the 25th Century! So I can now imagine also that one scene on Lower Decks where the children were in class being told of the Epic Engineer Miles O’Brian, with 2 of them being most likely 'Jurati' Borg! On "Q" returning, I would have thought that Wesley should have been there, but IMHO Why not have Q2 instead! The kicker is that he is John Delancie's real son, who played Q2 on Voyager and would have had an interesting change in direction here. I Love this homage to so much Trek over the last 50+ years.
@@neomt2 Don’t think the Borg or the Queen could assimilate anyone. She was in such a rough state as she had very few drones. She was cut off from the Delta quadrant Borg for some time.
I love Trek... They did the final act of Return of the Jedi. Father/Son redemption, Flying through the not-the-death star... last second flying out of the flames... It was fun, but also derivative...
Nick have I truly enjoyed your breakdown of this season. It's very refreshing to hear any issue you have with the shows expressed in a light manner. Unlike some channels that just rant about the problems present. All in all I enjoyed S3. The finale was perhaps my least favorite, but it's hard to stick the landing these days and satisfy everyone. My only true gripe about the entirety of the season is how the Borg are presented in S2, and then what we get in S3. With NO mention (that I can recall) of what happened or where are the "nice" Borg. I wish S2 was better thought out and served as a staging area for S3. But SO much good to outweigh any bad that existed IMO.
I totally agree! What a series, what a season and what a last episode! I am confused about one thing and I hope somebody can help. At the end of the second season I thought Agnes had become the borg queen and changed the collective forever. Did I misinterpret that? I'm just confused why we have the OG queen and collective up to the same antics
21:42 From Julius Caesar, Act 4 Scene 3, 218-224. One of the Bard's more famous lines. Bit of an odd choice though. In that scene Brutus is urging Cassio to support the coup against Caesar: we must act now, or the Roman Republic will be forever lost. I knew there'd be some Shakespeare quotes dropped in the last episode, but I figured it would be "Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more," from Henry V.
Poor Jack, he aint no Counselor, he's got more in common with a Yeoman much like Kirk had who assisted him with anything he wanted, so basically Jack's gonna be Seven's lapdog.

I agree this was by far the best Trek in years. I was wondering if other Trek fans would want to see more of the Dominion? We can maybe assume that the Romulan and Klingon empires have also been compromised by the Dominion and we were never told for sure where the huge Dominion fleet vanished to during the Dominion war maybe we can see more of the Dominion?
Not quite, they’re much younger in the picture (it’s actually an Easter Egg picture of McFadden and Stewart from back in the day), aren’t you forgetting Laris who is waiting for Jean Luc on that ‘retirement’ planet?
With the recently released ratings killing it and the announcement of Picard toys, you know Paramount is aware of what they could have with Matallas moving forward. I will be stunned if Discovery wasn't cancelled in order to move funds over to Legacy as a new series.
@@shugghead8538 It was cancelled because Paramount+ is cutting back on costs, and Discovery was one of, if not the most, expensive shows to product on a per-episode basis.

The way the show ended & who's on Enterprise G, Paramount Plus better green light "Star Trek:Legacy" and give Terry the keys to the franchise. Make it so.

What was the Enterprise D doing for the year until it was shut down again.
So loved the 3rd series of Star Trek Picard....enjoyed all 3 in fact! Hopeful of a new series with the Enterprise G! Impeccable season finale. Seeing TNG crew together and happy was spectacular, 7 as captain of the Enterprise was fantastic especially the idea of her and Raffi with Jack and LaForge opens up many possibilities. Those saying why didn’t Janeway appear- I doubt Kate Mulgrew would have wanted a cameo part.
We have to be getting a new series with Seven as captain of the Enterprise. It has to be happening.

Other than, that this was absolutely wonderful, and Terry Matalas is our modern day Gene Roddenberry, and should be producing all the next star tracks to come..
I just wanted to say I've really enjoyed your weekly reviews, great job!
A poster on another youtube video about the Picard finale suggested that Seven said "Comply!"
I was really hoping for Guinan, Wesley, O'Brien, and Barclay showing up at the end moment.😭
Great review, Nick. Let's hope that the trial never Ends!
1:23 The flyby of the enterprise, D, as she head towards Jupiter is almost exactly like the shot of the enterprise D flying by in the last moment of the opening credits.
THANKS for your hard work this season!!!!
Nice seeing an Aussie in the Star Trek TH-cam space or am I being presumptuous. Loved season 3 of Picard. Great reviews thanks. Will you be reviewing other shows other Si-Fi in the Future?
I think they went passed Enterprise E & F quickly so they call it G for The Last (G)eneration
g is a new smaller enterprise for the last gen crew- hope for movie and more. f is alive and E?
Everything in this episode was just spot on, with its timing on action, humor and love. I couldn't have asked for it to be any better. Bringing everyone back together as they did from multiple generations was just what this season needed.
Now when Captain 7of9 was about to say her go to warp order, I was just dying for her to say....Get 'er done...🤣🤣
Really enjoyed the finale and the season! We need more Terry Trek
Its easy to see that Terry is a Star Trek fan as this is what we all wanted to see in a final season.
Shoulda been Janeway, not Tuvoc telling Seven she’s becoming a captain!
Yes, this!
Janeway can do a special guest star episode in ST:Legacy.
Terry! Terry! Terry!
Always enjoyed your show, & a now wrap up with S3 E10. Keep up the excellent coverage.
This is the Borg cube that was in the trans warp conduit, not the collective in the Delta quadrant
She was scary as hell
Agreed about the Borg Queen.
When I saw her moving around, the first thing I thought was "Damn! Can't this b**** die for once!"
I enjoyed the finale so much! Thanks for the great video!
Ahhh TREK IS BACK WHERE IT BELONGS
IN THE VIEW OF ITS.LOVING FANS...😊
❗️The Enterprise-F was the most beautiful ship 😍🖖🏻. I want her back😃✨️
I want more terry trek. Picard season 3 has been amazing
Awesome review mate.
Loved all these reviews actually.
New subscriber ❤
What was the "Face" villain communicating with Vadic? They never went back to it.
That was the Borg Queen. It was the only way she could communicate.
Ah- I see.
@Trevor J so...werevthe changelings assimilated?
@@neomt2 The changeling storyline was somewhat underwhelming. Still great star trek season though.
That was a very satisfying star trek season.
it wasnt a borg cube. it was the remains of the borg complex from voyager.
She wants her boy toy next to her.
Loved this finale and definitely enjoyed your review of it. As much as I was looking forward to this finale, it now feels sad that it's at all done...
Anton Chekov is also the name of the Russian Playwright that was the inspiration for Pavel Chekov's name in the first place
Bloody great season, I stopped watching at episode 3 - which took a lot of willpower - so that I could binge watch the whole season.
I loved all the nuanced expressions and storylines from previous seasons, can't wait for more...and there better bloody be more!
Oh effin G! Was that amazing or what? This finale is one of the best Star Trek episodes ever! And what a perfect ending and setup for ST: Legacy!
Man I was in tears a rollercoaster laughing through my tears...😢🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 cheering through my tears !!!!!!!!! This is how you do trek moving forward!!!!!!
Best Star Wars reference at 27:50 “here goes nothing”
I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t even a small scene with Janeway in.
I really feel like there will a continuation of Picard 3! I feel hopeful & it’s still possible we will still see some of the Legacy Characters again, although sadly probably not together like this 😢!
I want another season like this so bad
I love SNW, I was glad to see they brought back the Gorn. I didn't care for their new design but I will get used to it..over the show and I'm a Trekkie. It was hard getting used to all the other shows but I am glad to see the franchises bring it back to life. It's wonderful!!!!! 😊
It's a blink and you'll miss it moment, Anton suddenly reverted to the Russian accent when he quoted his father.
At the post credit scene there is a wedding picture of Jean Luc and Beverly at their son's room on the Enterprise shortly before Q appeared.
Not quite, they’re much younger in the picture (it’s actually an Easter Egg picture of McFadden and Stewart from back in the day), aren’t you forgetting Laris who is waiting for Jean Luc on that ‘retirement’ planet?
@@elliotblabla Right. They sure pushed Laris to the side. If they knew this is where the show was going, why even introduce that plot element.
That didn't look like a wedding photo to me. They looked like they were going to an awards show or something.
@@Areutherehello ah okay then it could be my mistake looked for me at first like a wedding pic. so i might have seen it wrong.
@@elliotblabla we are trying to forget Lari's since she is attached to the previous non Trek episodes.
This was a great episode but they did miss out on not having Admiral Janeway and Borg Girardi
With the recently released ratings killing it and the announcement of Picard toys, you know Paramount is aware of what they could have with Matallas moving forward. I will be stunned if Discovery wasn't cancelled in order to move funds over to Legacy as a new series.
they did cancel discovery
@@martehoudesheldt5885 I'm saying it was likely canceled to make funds available for trek legacy.
@@shugghead8538 It was cancelled because Paramount+ is cutting back on costs, and Discovery was one of, if not the most, expensive shows to product on a per-episode basis.
So how many borg queen's are there !?
Human thinking is so linear... :)
i straight up cried at some moments. never thought we would get such a love letter to the enterprise crew and star trek in general. i remember when star trek was great and this hit all the right notes
I hope they start paying the light bills for Star Trek Legacy. This season has been a fantastic ride from start to finish. It would have been nice to see Worf win one hand of poker though. Poor Worf.
Thank you for your videos on this series! Ive really enjoyed them!
Picard season 3 was totally awesome we got data and the enterprise with the rest and 7 of 9 and Raffi and jack with the option to move forward with the new enterprise G and Capt 7 this season of Picard is by far one of if not the best season of star trek ever I just wish it didn't have to end
Question: where did you get that Star Trek tshirt from?
I love it.
Been patiently waiting for you, so good. The end? Yes
Nice video and very informative Thank You
The way the show ended & who's on Enterprise G, Paramount Plus better green light "Star Trek:Legacy" and give Terry the keys to the franchise. Make it so.
I liked this entire season and the final episode, but it would have been interesting to know the following, 1-how many federation staff was killed in the final battle, 2-how many starships were lost/destroyed, 3-was all the changlings found, 4 was Section 31 brought to task, 5- was Kirk given a proper burial, Why did the so called good Borg at the end of Season 2 not help.
What was the Enterprise D doing for the year until it was shut down again.
So loved the 3rd series of Star Trek Picard....enjoyed all 3 in fact! Hopeful of a new series with the Enterprise G! Great finale to this series.....wish somehow Cpt Kirk would have made an appearance seeing as his remains were at Daystrom. Lol....nice touch Walter Koenig gets his voice on this episode too! Yes thoroughly enjoyed it all! I'm going back to the beginning of Picard series 1 and watch through again!
Excellent recaps. Thanks for a great season!🎉
Majel recorded a library of vocal sounds, so she could voice any computer in the future.
