I saw an RD-1000 for sale a while back. It looked a pretty bulky thing to buy for digital sounds that could be matched with plugins now. Your video seems to prove that point. Nice playing, definitely comes to life with FX.
Thanks mate! Yeah, I agree. And if you've got Keyscape, these sounds are in there as well (from the MKS-20). It's cool to have the real deal of course, but it's definitely not needed in this case.
You can have all the exact Roland rd1000 sounds on their new RD2000 stage piano. These patches sound good but the real thing is available. I just got the new rd2000 about four months ago and I must say I do not regret my purchase whatsoever. And played in a big venue setting it’s incredible!
Great playing! These sounds are a time machine, indeed. You can hear they didn't have a lot of RAM for the samples, but that also contributes to that "back in time" effect.
Well, the original is actually created using SA-synthesis, no samples :). But the chap who made the sample pack maybe didn't sample enough velocity layers. But still, these samples are still pretty expressive.
@@worship88684 Well, the "Piano" presets I demonstrated in the video are as "acoustic" as they're gonna get... Since these sounds are actually created using a digital synth engine called SAS that Roland developed in the 80s, and so it does not use PCM samples of any kind. Some people love the sounds on this keyboard, because it doesn't sound like anything else out there. And others hate it because it doesn't sound like the real instruments it's trying to emulate.
Gotta love those tones, really dig it. Very Elton John 💖
awesome demo Xavier ! :)

Nice sounds! Nice playing :D
tastefully played xavier!
Great. As always.
Did you import the sounds directly to the keyboard?
Nope, the DX11 is purely used as a controller. I'm using a software sampler plugin to play the samples in this case.
Oh ok, can it be used on MainStage or is there a better compatible software?
@@DavidMoreno-qg5xp Never worked with MainStage, so I can't confirm that works. I used the TX16Wx Software Sampler.
@@XavierRadix how did you do it with that software?
Y el piano acústico?
Sorry, I can't speak Spanish.
Please comment in English :).
@@XavierRadix brother i want to know if the rd 1000 had the acoustic piano because in the vídeos that i have seen only electric pianos can be heard
