This is part two of helping the sweetest lady Cecilia! Last week we cleaned her living room/kitchen and today we are starting from the bathroom! Cecilia told me that she hadn’t had a shower in a year because she simply couldn’t because the bathroom was so full of stuff and trash. In this video you will also hear me interviewing Cecilia. She really wanted to teen everyone what an awful disease depression can be. She thought if this interview could help even one person it would be worth it. You have to wait until the very end of the video to see how cecilias home looks like now after 6 months from the cleaning!!
Bathroom cleaning, kitchen cleaning, living room cleaning, Organizing, deep cleaning, Washing, before and after pictures, satisfying results.

Her apartment is so tiny the one room is a kitchen a bedroom and a dining room and a living room then the bathroom is a laundry too. This is a ridiculously difficult place to live , it would not be good for her really. Anyone would be challenged to keep it tidy.

People often mockingly refer to "difficult childhoods" but parents truly can fundamentally break a child in a way where they suffer for years or decades after. I guess we develop strategies to survive the helpless childhood such as avoidance and disassociation but in adulthood those do not serve us at all. Thank you to anyone like Auri who helps people heal and finally live a decent life they deserve. ❤️

I feel this, I’ve lived where I am now for just over 3 years and in the last year it’s become out of control for me. I’m a single mum, expecting my second child and only a month ago I finally asked for help. I was ashamed, I was convinced they’d take away my child but actually, they aren’t. They’re coming to help me clean and tidy my home and they have gotten me a volunteer to come and help each week. I’ve never felt more happy for asking for help and no longer ignoring it.
Please don’t ever feel ashamed in asking for help ♥️

I hope you can see your former self, when you could not reach out, and see your current self when you put aside fear, guilt and shame and asked for help ... I know that wasn't an easy thing to do. I hope you know and feel the strength and determination it took for you to say, "enough!" .. You changed your present life, your future and your children's entire lives. And, now you are even out in the community volunteering... look at the giant steps you are taking to claim your life. Sometimes this is the only thing people need: Someone to trust in them and reach out, help them out of the situation they are in. Not to mention, making this incredible experience with people coming to help you in a terrible situation can rebuild some of the trust lost in childhood and make reaching out in the future easier. Cecilia might still not be in the best place, but she experienced that help is possible and can do so much, so I'm sure she has reached out more.

It’s such a beautiful thing to help someone in this cycle of shame, dissociation and mess. Even if they don’t perfectly keep it up and eventually need help again, the work was still valuable and it still sends a message that the person is worth loving and their life is worth fighting for.

The commentary on Cecilia's dissociation hit harder than I expected. I always have the most difficulty operating daily life when my brain is dissociating regularly.
I unfortunately understand coming out of a dissociative episode and barely recognizing where I am and what happened while I was basically gone.

I personally do not like when people say “you are grown, you should be over it”. I am 36 and still suffer from seizures because of what my mother did to me. The physical and emotional trauma took a toll on me. It took years for me to forgive and move forward with my life. I feel that when people are ready they will rise up. Being ridiculed and made fun of all the time doesn’t help. Especially when you have it in your head that nobody understands are you cannot find a platform where people will understand. Learn to be gentle with people even if you do not understand their walk of life. Be thankful that you are able body and mentally stable to function in day to day life. Auri thank you so much for all that you do. I really would like to help you when you come to the US but it’s a 10 hour drive for me. I love cleaning and helping people as well.❤

Dear Cecelia, how wonderful you are able to keep your home clean! I have PTSD, depression, anxiety, and had an abusive childhood; constantly ridiculed, called names, and was scared to death of my dad. I’ve struggled with motivating myself to take care of my home, too. I have gotten better, but there are days I realize I’m not going to be able to do much, if anything - so I look at it as a “reset day” and that’s that. The days I feel better, I run with that and get as much done as possible. In other words, I try not to look at it as either bad or good - just that it is what the day is presenting me with. The best of luck to you!!! I love the lights and extra touches you did to make it look so pretty! Thank you, Auri. Much love to you as well! ❤🎉❤

I think the most baffling transformation happened in Cecilia that she kept it clean for the whole 6 months after you cleaned for her! These things are life- changing!
I really enjoyed watching this video, I love to clean messes like this!
I got a good job from cleaning hotels, to a housekeeper/ party planner in a embassy, and I had to learn new, but pretty basic computer skills and clean only twice a week. So I got promoted to a “better” job, but I MISS cleaning!!!
For example, I had to watch the cleaning company do the job instead of doing it my self, and I was so disappointed of the outcome , not everyone has the same high standards!!!!
So, seriously, I’ve been thinking of starting my own company bc if you do a business, do it out of something you are good at!
All the best to you, you have wonderfully made it in the cleaning industry 👏👏👏👏

I'm so happy you were able to help Cecilia. Clearly she felt she had come to the end of the road, but thankfully you've given her a new beginning. The apartment looked amazing when you had finished it and it still looks amazing now. Clearly Cecilia is enjoying life again.

These apartments are so tiny, it's no wonder her depression became worse, especially when you live on your own with little to no support. Im so glad she found you Auri. I think I know what her second choice was going to be and how grateful she is. I really hope she can keep her home tidy for her mental health and physical health cos it would have been a health hazard to live there too.
    Changing lives again Auri.

Amazeballs Auri. It was particularly poignant to hear you reading the transcript of you and Cecilia’s interview. Obviously your before and after photos are always great to see, but in this story seeing Cecilia’s own pics really made my heart smile. Way to go Cecilia! Pat yourself on the back, thank you for sharing your healing journey with us all, that takes incredible courage. Onwards and upwards. Much love from Yorkshire, England. Fi xxx

Aw, it's heartbreaking to think that anyone could consider the 'other' option as being the only option left. I would hope and pray that we could all reach out in times of need, and in doing so would be met with open arms and not judged, even from those who do not know us. Bless you Auri. My mum used to say "a little help is worth a lot of pity" meaning... It is better to help people who are in trouble than to say how sorry you are for them. After your help, Cecilia is now back on track and has pride in herself and her home, and that is heartwarming.

I am so pleased Cecilia was able to keep her home clean after you had helped her by clearing and cleaning it for her. I hope that continues because I know how easy it can be to be overwhelmed by depression and other mental health issues, and she needs to stay on top of it - but it looks great with the lights around the TV and the other little improvements she has made so the future must be bright for her after the help you gave her with this cleaning.

I personally clean everyday. It relaxes me. However… when I’m anxious, I don’t eat either… I drink coffee too.
It’s hard to realize and understand what’s going on in people’s heads and what goes on behind closed doors.
I’m grateful for you Ari for allowing people to just “breath” again.
    You’re an angel.

    • @PucaFlea

Coffee is used for self medicating.
I tend to be OCD and can get stuck cleaning, when I actually don’t want to. I could feel sick and need to lie down, but will keep going. I do like cleaning and organising though.
It’s just, I live at home with my parents and brother and they will mess up whatever I have done within hours, so I only do it every few weeks. I’d be killed out doing it everyday otherwise.

@@teachermichelle9632 I don't drink coffee at all. I'd fill it with sugar aswell so I stear clear. Mocha is the only coffee I'll have. Again I put sugar in them, but not as much as I would with coffee. Still only have then as a very rare treat.

I think that asking for help is what really turned Cecilia's life around. And that she took the step to move past the trauma in her life and that she wasn't forced into it by an outside source, no matter how much someone else might think it's best for her. I have suffered all my life from childhood trauma and never realised how much I suffered from low grade depression until a close friend of mine pointed out to me that sometimes I disassociate and appear not to be there with her (she told me in a loving way). Once I realised that I was able to become aware of what I was doing and knowledge is power and now I can see when I drift off and can think through why that is happening and what is triggering it (I've had years of counselling that has saved my life in many ways.).

Changed the story for the better and helped her believe in kindness and at least some people... Thank you for this video and thanks to you both for the interview portion as this is sure to be relatable. God bless.

I think it better to just call you a living angel for helping these people who need help, and helping others as you share insights of difficulties people have…even ourselves. Thank you for being a living angel and being an example of goodness and light! Sending warm aloha to you!

Well done to Cecilia, for asking help and sharing her experiences, and for keeping her flat clean. I hope in the near future she can move into a bigger flat, with a separate bedroom. To have to sleep next to the kitchen and only have one room to live in, for a middle-aged woman in a rich country like Finland... It's fine as emergency housing but not really sustainable as she ages, in my opinion. Great job, Auri and Cecilia!

I feel her so bad. The mentaly tauma your parents can give you. Even though my mother tryd her best, but i just realize now in therapy how much my father and stepfather and my family in general have afected me and my life xx.
I'm now working hard on becoming a stronger person, who, instead of searching for the one at fault(me or my parents) i search for solutions. It's super hard, but after a year now, i see slowly changes which motivates me so much.
