Those alone times with him that described feeling peace in cannot be limited to when you go to church, they have to be constant, whenever you get the chance seek him, you need to be desperate to feel his presence, a dependence on him to where you can no longer live until he’s with you. Do this and you will see change in your character.

I see no idols? These "idols" are people who lived a holy life. They have no power and are not equal or greater than God... their only role is intercession. When you are in trouble or going through a hard time or are in need of prayer and you ask your family members or your brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for you and they do pray for you, do you call them idols as well? Here's some advice that I hope you take into consideration, before you falsely label someone whether they live or have passed away remember you consider yourself a child of God (by what I see from your profile picture) and in his word it says we should love one another as he loves us. So call them idols or whatever you desire but they were pleasing in God's eyes, what you are saying isn't pleasing to him.

You'd be surprised how many Catholic congregations use protestant written music for their repertoire. Any song can be used for any background... I sing AS&D songs at my Baptist Church all the time. It's all a matter of spiritual maturity to look past the exterior and see how the words and ambience of the song can be theologically correct.

So what's with the Catholic back and forth? Is it just the imagery? I don't get it. What I do get, though, is the fact that just about every person in these comments hears a beautiful song and then focuses on our differences in the body. Catholics, there are other followers of Christ that are going to heaven besides you. Many, in fact. Non-Catholics, the Catholic church is not an evil institution run by Satan. Maybe misguided, maybe wrong, but they're a human institution just like your church and many of their adherents love the Lord quite well despite all the trappings. Satan plays on those differences. We have a thousand differences as we're people from all walks of life. But we have one thing that unites us, despite how we worship: Christ. We lose when we focus on the differences. At the end of the day, if you trust in Christ for your salvation, you are in, plain and simple. If your insistence that people worship "properly" supersedes your reliance on Christ for your life, you might want to do a little searching, because you are not aligned with the will of him who sent Jesus. Not one of us will be chastising another about our respective churches when the trumpet sounds, and we'll have infinity to do so. So why are we doing it now?
The pagan imagery is unfortunate. If you only knew how offensive these things are to God it would break you to the core of your being. The 2nd Commandment clearly says, "You shall not make for yourself ANY graven images. You shall not bow down to them or worship them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers unto the children of the third and fourth generations of those that hate me, but showing Mercy unto thousands, to those who love me and keep my Commandments." Evidently, God is classifying those who make, and venerate images, together with those who hate him. He clearly tells us that he is jealous for our love, and he will not share it with images, no matter what we think, or how we try to rationalize making these images, God calls it sin. This is the second Commandment that God wrote with his own finger. Which of these Commandments can we toss out because it is inconvenient to keep? Back in the day Catholicism chose to toss out the second commandment as is written in the book of Exodus chapter 20 and the Book of Deuteronomy chapter 5. In order to maintain 10 Commands in the Catholic catechism they simply split the tenth commandment into two separate Commandments, leaving out the second Commandment that forbids the worship of idols. Anybody can find this out on their own. How it must break His heart to hear His children going on and on, rationalizing the changing of His Commandments. He said, "I do not change. My covenant I will not break, NOR alter the thing that is gone out of my lips." Psalm 89:34 How heartbreaking for God to STILL have to be listening to the various excuses His children make for breaking His Commandments, the very words He thundered from His lips at Sinai, and then wrote with His own finger! No more can we dismiss this Commandment that FORBIDS idolatry, can we toss out the 4th Command that literally separates us from the pagans, the sun worshippers--The 4th Command regarding The Sabbath. It defines His Title, WHO God is, Creator of all things. It describes His territory, the heavens and the earth. And the Sabbath Command tells us how to worship Him. Yet again, pagan Rome has done all it can to extinguish this Commandment, and if you trace it back into history you will find that the Sabbath Commandment has never changed, and there have always been a people who have been keeping all of God's Commandments including the Sabbath Commandment, and including the second commandment that forbids the worship of idols. The Catholic catechism says that in all actuality everyone should become a Seventh Day Adventist if they want to be following the Bible alone, for they are keeping ALL the Commandments. And they go on to say that THEY changed the Sabbath and the very fact that the "Christian world" BOWS DOWN AND OBEYS by keeping Sunday, PROVES THEY HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE GOD'S COMMANDMENTS. This is BLASPHEMY! The word of God cannot lie. Romans 6:16 says, "Don't you know that if you present yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin resulting in death or obedience resulting in righteousness?" SLAVES to the one you obey!!!! Who's Slave are you going to be?!?! I'm with Joshua, "If it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, then choose you this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your father served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites (pagans) in whose land you are living? But as for me and my house we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15 What say you? "Study to show yourselves approved of God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of Truth. 2nd Timothy 2:15 As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

I like the way the first line is "Who is God but our God?" with a statue of a priest behind it. Ritualistic beliefs need to fall away so that all we are left with is God as our God. That's how I'm choosing to interpret the background. :)
I believe the location where they documented the video is related to Augustine of Hippo. Augustine, who wrote the Confessions, is a saint in the Catholic Church. Augustine fell into the Manichean heresy until later in life he had a conversion and became a Christian. To learn about Augustine and trace his history one must go into the heart of the Catholic Christian faith.
brooke James the saints were unbelievably Godly people. People we should all look up to and there's nothing wrong with that. Paul even tells us to imitate those who have gone before us. It seems as though we have observed the Catholic Church (not every Catholic Church) cross from admiration to idolatry/saint worship.

All through out the Bible God makes it clear, we are to pray to NO ONE ELSE besides the Trinity -God the Father, Son & Spirit. We cannot get to the Father without Jesus. Mary is a human & she served her purpose for God 2017+ years ago. Angels do what God tells them to, Angels don't listen to us.

So what's with the Catholic back and forth? Is it just the imagery? I don't get it.
What I do get, though, is the fact that just about every person in these comments hears a beautiful song and then focuses on our differences in the body. Catholics, there are other followers of Christ that are going to heaven besides you. Many, in fact. Non-Catholics, the Catholic church is not an evil institution run by Satan. Maybe misguided, maybe wrong, but they're a human institution just like your church and many of their adherents love the Lord quite well despite all the trappings.
Satan plays on those differences. We have a thousand differences as we're people from all walks of life. But we have one thing that unites us, despite how we worship: Christ. We lose when we focus on the differences. At the end of the day, if you trust in Christ for your salvation, you are in, plain and simple. If your insistence that people worship "properly" supersedes your reliance on Christ for your life, you might want to do a little searching, because you are not aligned with the will of him who sent Jesus. Not one of us will be chastising another about our respective churches when the trumpet sounds, and we'll have infinity to do so. So why are we doing it now?
The pagan imagery is unfortunate. If you only knew how offensive these things are to God it would break you to the core of your being.
The 2nd Commandment clearly says, "You shall not make for yourself ANY graven images. You shall not bow down to them or worship them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers unto the children of the third and fourth generations of those that hate me, but showing Mercy unto thousands, to those who love me and keep my Commandments."
Evidently, God is classifying those who make, and venerate images, together with those who hate him. He clearly tells us that he is jealous for our love, and he will not share it with images, no matter what we think, or how we try to rationalize making these images, God calls it sin. This is the second Commandment that God wrote with his own finger. Which of these Commandments can we toss out because it is inconvenient to keep? Back in the day Catholicism chose to toss out the second commandment as is written in the book of Exodus chapter 20 and the Book of Deuteronomy chapter 5. In order to maintain 10 Commands in the Catholic catechism they simply split the tenth commandment into two separate Commandments, leaving out the second Commandment that forbids the worship of idols. Anybody can find this out on their own. How it must break His heart to hear His children going on and on, rationalizing the changing of His Commandments. He said, "I do not change. My covenant I will not break, NOR alter the thing that is gone out of my lips." Psalm 89:34 How heartbreaking for God to STILL have to be listening to the various excuses His children make for breaking His Commandments, the very words He thundered from His lips at Sinai, and then wrote with His own finger! No more can we dismiss this Commandment that FORBIDS idolatry, can we toss out the 4th Command that literally separates us from the pagans, the sun worshippers--The 4th Command regarding The Sabbath. It defines His Title, WHO God is, Creator of all things. It describes His territory, the heavens and the earth. And the Sabbath Command tells us how to worship Him. Yet again, pagan Rome has done all it can to extinguish this Commandment, and if you trace it back into history you will find that the Sabbath Commandment has never changed, and there have always been a people who have been keeping all of God's Commandments including the Sabbath Commandment, and including the second commandment that forbids the worship of idols. The Catholic catechism says that in all actuality everyone should become a Seventh Day Adventist if they want to be following the Bible alone, for they are keeping ALL the Commandments. And they go on to say that THEY changed the Sabbath and the very fact that the "Christian world" BOWS DOWN AND OBEYS by keeping Sunday, PROVES THEY HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE GOD'S COMMANDMENTS. This is BLASPHEMY! The word of God cannot lie. Romans 6:16 says, "Don't you know that if you present yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin resulting in death or obedience resulting in righteousness?"
