I bought 2 Pints. We have only owned them for about 3 weeks. About 50 miles on them. Range isn't an issue as my son and I only use them to cruise around and not for commuting. We've done 2 hour trips and still had battery left and I feel comfortable cruising around 13 mph. Great video and some solid points. Nice job.

A few months ago I bought a onewheel xr and needed peace of mind, I looked up some videos and your video on the xr’s price gave me the peace I needed. I love my XR and to be honest was really nervous about the pint being “squirrelly” however the more I’ve practiced on the pint the more I see how fun it is. That being said I feel more stable on my XR
I bought pint and after riding it for about 1000 miles, I wanted to get an XR+because I though it would give a more stable off road ride. After a half hour test drive of the XR+, I decided I couldn't go backwards. I shred on my pint. It feels so good. Riding the XR+ was like riding a sled that couldn't get out of it's own way. Carving took so much effort as compared to the pint. Maybe if I never rode a pint, I might have had a different experience with the XR+. I like the sports car feel of the pint. The pint has safety features that the XR+ doesn't have, like the light that let's you know it's turned on, that can be seen from the riding position, simple stop as you mentioned and better (harder) push back. I won't buy an XR until a new version is made that has even more safety features than the pint currently has. Thanks for the video.

I remember the anxiety I had trying to decide. I'm very glad with my XR purchase :) I often will be at 50% battery and will think to myself dang if I had a pint I would have to be done.
Can you tell us why you always pick the XR over the pint? I have a pint now and I’m considering getting an XR to try. Curious why you like the XR so much more, because it may throw me over the edge and make me get an XR now.
@@johnd9357 I ride with a group sometimes and they all have xrs. On the pint I was always having to cut the ride early and head home. The xr is faster, with more range. And if you get a nice tire it is nimble also.

Picked up the Pint this spring, one of the best purchases I have made in my 56 years. I do not need the range, nor the speed so the Pint works perfectly. Definitely need to get a 2nd for friends to ride with me. Enjoying your positive vibe videos.
I started with the XR b/c my pint order like many others was delayed by two months. I really only bought the XR out of impatience. in the beginning I liked the pint more because of how carvy it was. But after owning both for quite a bit of time I have changed my mind. I like the XR better because of the range and speed. The perceived difference in speed is very noticeable.

I bought my Pint in the middle of the summer with the intention of finding out if I like the sensation, to also learn the skills and also have a board to ride while waiting for FutureMotion to upgrade the XR. When that announcement hits, I shall be ordering “the Big Boy” immediately so as to complement my beloved Pint not to replace it. Warnings to newbies, the Pint is a gateway drug, if you love OneWheeling you will no doubt end up with both at some stage!😂🙏🏾
Love my XR and it’s probably what I would recommend based on the stability. But if you’re less sure, get the Pint. I wanted a Pint within the first week of getting an XR. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with either. If you’re just wanting flat speed then a EUC or scooter is maybe better as the OneWheel just can’t compete on that. But it captures that “it” factor that the other electric vehicles don’t quite have.

Started with a pint and very glad I did but I will now be selling it to get the XR since I’ve mastered it and I found myself wanting more range and battery life, so that’s honestly the way I think you should go about it if your new to rideables like myself.
I would buy the Pint (like I did) because it's light, nimble, and a good experience. Then save for the XR. The Pint is so much fun to ride. I take it everywhere, to work, school, my wife's work, and also to donate life-saving plasma (aka my Onewheel money)
I have a Pint, but if I upgrade it will probably be an Electric Unicycle. Future Motion has to get on the ball, or they will miss out on the competition. FM also has to open their products for repairs.

As I noob, start with the pint, then trade up. I weigh 125 with gear, rode 5 miles today, 69% remaining. So I consistently get over 13 miles per charge on pavement. If you are lite, you will get great range on the pint. Update: I just purchased the XR because of range. Keeping the pint for fun, and company.

I’d say if your on a budget and the range isn’t a deal breaker, go Pint. You get to experience the majority of what the XR does for much less cost. Plus there can be hidden expenses of float plates, fender, etc. I built a really nice pint for much less than the cost of just an XR without the goodies. I usually only have time for a quick rip around the neighborhood anyways.

Yep I really like the stock tires. However after one year I did change the tires out just to see if I liked the ride. I do enjoy a treaded tire on the pint and the TFL Burris tire.
If wanting to cruise at speed and have stability the XR....if slower more carving and doing tricks the PINT....I have PINT and wish it was more stable at speed.....also wider platform for feet be nice...am 6ft....and 2 days on first one wheel and got PINT....am 52 yrs old and used to skate pools and ramps in 80s-90s.....maybe in week or so ill change my mind
I have so much fun on my pint, but I think it would awesome to get that increased speed with the XR. I also think it would be cool to ride to work. Here’s a fun question: would you rather have just the XR or the Pint with $850 worth of accessories and add-ons?
I started with the Pint, loved it, range was a big bummer though. I put in almost 1k before it got stolen. I now ride an XR and cant go back to the Pint, the range and stable high speeds make for an unforgettable experience. I got so good at tight carves on the Pint its easy to work the XR like it has a round tire even with the stock vega, just have to get a feel for it.

I wrecked, and I think these guys were following me because before I had a chance to get up and recover a guy had gotten out and grabbed my board, got back in and took off. I wrecked pretty bad sprained ankle and some road rash. So I was in no condition to pursue. Speed wobble from a huge bump I didn’t see.
Hey Scott, I have enjoyed your videos. Like many people, I'm trying to decide between a pint and xr. I'm comfortable on a skateboard (grew up in the 60's) but I don't snowboard. My question is should I get a pint and put an xr type (flatter) tire on it for better stability? I don't plan on racing, trail riding or anything like that. Just something to enjoy with my grandkids.
I’m thinking about starting with the Pint, but one thing that scares me is that the Pint has a thinner wheel and I don’t know how much harder it will be to balance. Bc I’m someone that feels like I’m constantly gonna fall off a skateboard, or it will slide out from under me. Is that something I should be worried about?
Saving for the xr for commuting home to work round trip I estimated 12 miles So the extra speed n battery life is a must . question is it most likely to hit nose dive with pint than the xr ? Great videos keep up the good vibes 😎
I’m a new subscriber and I must say that I love the content you and your crew provide. So thank you. You have definitely succeeded in spreading the stoke this way I’m currently looking at getting a used onewheel and I would love some advice. Currently the pint is the easiest option as it’s the cheaper of the 2, but I’m pushing 260lbs. Would that affect it so negatively making it not worth getting? I’m planning on using it to commute to work and and back mostly but I know as soon as I get the feel of it I will for sure hit some trails(I live in Utah so we have some beautiful areas just waiting to explore). Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks and be safe.
One thing he leaves out is the pint push’s back very hard at 16 mph you’d be riding at a captain Morgan stance. I have one it’s a bummer. If it went 16 without riding in push back it’d be perfect.

I think the battery upgrade could help put off the purchase of the XR but I think youll want the XR so you don't have to mess with the extra battery

Well In the Onewheel ads they say that have pints for cruisers and XRs for shredders. So if you are a shredder get an XR and if your not get a pint.

Are these hard to ride? I used to skate and snowboard occasionally. But I’m older now and probably not as agile now
If wanting to cruise at speed and have stability the XR....if slower more carving and doing tricks the PINT....I have PINT and wish it was more stable at speed.....also wider platform for feet be nice...am 6ft....and 2 days on first one wheel and got PINT....am 52 yrs old and used to skate pools and ramps in 80s-90s.....maybe in week or so ill change my mind
Now with the battery upgrade only difference is top speed . I chose the pint and upgrade the battery now I can go like 24 miles
that's a huge upgrade in the miles

I have so much fun on my pint, but I think it would awesome to get that increased speed with the XR. I also think it would be cool to ride to work. Here’s a fun question: would you rather have just the XR or the Pint with $850 worth of accessories and add-ons?
I would go XR over a fully loaded Pint.
Is there a Minnesota One Wheel group? Would be great to ride with other people. Have you ever ridden Rebecca Trail out near Delano? You would love it!

I started with the Pint, loved it, range was a big bummer though. I put in almost 1k before it got stolen. I now ride an XR and cant go back to the Pint, the range and stable high speeds make for an unforgettable experience. I got so good at tight carves on the Pint its easy to work the XR like it has a round tire even with the stock vega, just have to get a feel for it.

@@ScotMendenhall last month, beginning of October. I wrecked, and I think these guys were following me because before I had a chance to get up and recover a guy had gotten out and grabbed my board, got back in and took off. I wrecked pretty bad sprained ankle and some road rash. So I was in no condition to pursue. Speed wobble from a huge bump I didn’t see.

I have enjoyed your videos. Like many people, I'm trying to decide between a pint and xr. I'm comfortable on a skateboard (grew up in the 60's) but I don't snowboard. My question is should I get a pint and put an xr type (flatter) tire on it for better stability? I don't plan on racing, trail riding or anything like that. Just something to enjoy with my grandkids.
Iphones were great when they were competing, now the 12 is outdone by phones half the price. Still love your OW content =P
I'll choose a Onewheel over a new phone any day. To much fun. I am always looking for away to get away from my phone so the Onewheel helps

I’m thinking about starting with the Pint, but one thing that scares me is that the Pint has a thinner wheel and I don’t know how much harder it will be to balance.
Bc I’m someone that feels like I’m constantly gonna fall off a skateboard, or it will slide out from under me.
Is that something I should be worried about?
They both require the same balance. Don't be worried about fall of they really are very stable

Saving for the xr for commuting home to work round trip I estimated 12 miles So the extra speed n battery life is a must .
question is it most likely to hit nose dive with pint than the xr ?

both hit the nosedives when you push past the limit. So the xr gives you more till hitting the limit.

I’m a new subscriber and I must say that I love the content you and your crew provide. So thank you. You have definitely succeeded in spreading the stoke this way I’m currently looking at getting a used onewheel and I would love some advice. Currently the pint is the easiest option as it’s the cheaper of the 2, but I’m pushing 260lbs. Would that affect it so negatively making it not worth getting? I’m planning on using it to commute to work and and back mostly but I know as soon as I get the feel of it I will for sure hit some trails(I live in Utah so we have some beautiful areas just waiting to explore). Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks and be safe.
You'll love the XR over the PInt. That range on the XR will be the most enjoyable
One thing he leaves out is the pint push’s back very hard at 16 mph you’d be riding at a captain Morgan stance. I have one it’s a bummer. If it went 16 without riding in push back it’d be perfect.

Yes you can take the pint on the plane.
In which way you suggest keep it with me on the plane or risk leaving it with your bags on the plane I wish you explain more about it on this video there’s no video on TH-cam talking about stuff like that
@@adamash940 a few of us have flown with our Pints on different flights. We had no issues. We will put together a video about how we do it soon.
