Hey neighbor 👋😂 I’m actually in Clayton, but I really appreciate Phil and Philip and everything they do for their customers. It’s my go-to local store and my RSD home-base! How was Pour House for RSD? Do they have a good system? I can’t believe how rare Deluxe has been. I looked on Discogs last night and it’s already selling for $120. Crazy. Being a RSD First, I hope they repress this soon and make it more readily available. It’s such a great album, and people deserve to have it in their collection without spending $100-400 on a copy. (Apologies for the rant.) I’m glad you got your copy! Pick up any other titles that you’re looking forward to spinning?
@@VinylLattelol. No, I totally get the rant. I feel very similarly and was quite irked to see it already getting listed at hundreds of dollars on Discogs mere hours after it was available. Like you said, it’s an RSD First, so hopefully we’ll see a wider release down the line so people can get their hands on it without paying a fortune. Pour House was great! They had all their RSD releases lined up on the far side of their store and had arrows that directed everyone into a single-file line. That way everyone could flip once they got to the first crate. It was very organized and kept the whole thing from turning into a free-for-all. Love Pour House, and I go to them more than almost any other local. Far as other releases I got, I picked up Earl Sweatshirt’s “Feet of Clay”, the Ramones Greatest Hits, and John Lee Hooker’s “Don’t Turn Me From Your Door”. Really excited to listen to them all, but especially the Ramones. Been looking to get more into them and hoping this will work as something of a primer.
It sounds like you and I are similar minded when it comes to Deluxe😉 I need to stop in and spend time at Pour House. When I head into Raleigh, I usually hit the used book store at the Glenwood circle (they sometimes have great records there), Nice Price, and Honky Dory. I haven’t spent much time at Schoolkids, Record Krate, or Sorry State. One day, I want to do a Raleigh loop and hit all of them in a day… an official grail hunting day, if you will. Anyway, I’ve gone off again. Great picks! The early reviews of the Ramones Greatest Hits are coming in favorable, which I’m glad to hear as I was worried about the runtime on this single LP. I’d like to know your thoughts on the Earl Sweatshirt and John Lee Hooker. I ordered John online, but haven’t pulled the trigger on Earl yet. I picked up Doris from Vinyl Me, Please earlier this year and it sounds good. Mastered well, dynamic, I couldn’t be happier with it. Happy listening!
😂😂 well, funny you should ask… I did order a few titles online that my record store didn’t have. Waiting to see if they come in🤞 Did you pick up anything??
@ I did. Went in thinking three things, but got bit by the “well, THAT is still here” kind of moment while flipping…and grabbed 6. Seems the Better Than Ezra, Ramones, & Kacey Musgraves were the “must” have titles in my area. ✌🏻
Great choices! How does the Kacey sound? I had it and put it back when I saw it was pressed on eco vinyl. They can be very hit or miss in the sound department.
@@VinylLatte missed out on that one. I did end up getting the Ramones from a store that was selling at the local record show yesterday. So two out of three ain't bad 🙂
that raekwon follows in the footsteps of the godfather 3 which its based off of. Both are pretty lackluster. I had the CD as a kid and it had maybe two decent tracks. So how in the heck did someone think that should be reissued? its a road apple
See that's why i try to avoid RSD...and their exclusives are not that bomb either. Gotta get my hands on that new Czarface somewhere down the line though. Czarface is a must.
If you spend $1400 at a record store you shouldn’t have to wait in line. You should be able to go through the back door 5 minutes before the store opens and leave after you get your records.

I need to stop in and spend time at Pour House.
When you do not really like live albums but walk out of the shop on RSD with like 90 percent live albums.
RIGHT?! This is what I get for being in line early and listening to hours of people telling me how good these performance were 🤦🤣
you went pretty nuts but at least you didn't buy the Lone Survivor sdtk, or did you?
Did NOT! See, I have some restraint 😉😂
Bigger question - what DIDN'T you grab this RSDBF? (This is a joke). Enjoy watching all the way through. Cheers
😂😂 well, funny you should ask… I did order a few titles online that my record store didn’t have. Waiting to see if they come in🤞
Did you pick up anything??
😂😂
Tell me your rich without telling me your rich...
🤷♂️
Kacey Musgraves is the only record that mattered
The record looked cool! I hope you were able to grab it and enjoy it!
You like 90s and did not get Helmet!!!??
I have the IVC reissue that came out recently 😉👍
See that's why i try to avoid RSD...and their exclusives are not that bomb either. Gotta get my hands on that new Czarface somewhere down the line though. Czarface is a must.
I don’t blame you! 😉 A lot of stores posting their extra stock online at 8 AM today. Might be worth searching on Shopify or RSDMRKT. Happy hunting!
Michael Cera Doppelgänger
I heard that one before 😉😂
Glad you didn’t snag the Sunn o))) before I made it inside 😂 Great seeing you again and seeing your haul.
😆 GREAT seeing you again as well! Enjoy that record!!

If you spend $1400 at a record store you shouldn’t have to wait in line. You should be able to go through the back door 5 minutes before the store opens and leave after you get your records.
Absolutely! After dropping that much cash, they should roll out the red carpet and play your favorite tracks as you walk in! 😉😂
That's not the purpose of RSD. If that happened en masse, RSD dies
@@richstroud I was being sarcastic buddy. Calm down and take your meds.
yup...crazy indeed....but then again who cares anyways? i must laugh iguess
🤷♂️
Why do you think anyone cares.for most peoplecin nc,thats 3 months pay.
Plenty of people enjoyed the video, and it’s great to see so many different perspectives. I understand that for some, the spend may feel significant-everyone’s financial situation is different, and it’s important to recognize and respect that. The intent behind sharing the content wasn’t to exclude anyone but to showcase something that others might find interesting or inspiring. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
