Only if you use chocolate with cocoa butter (which melts at a lower temperature). If the chocolate you use is made with vegetable shortening (candy melting wafers like in the video) then no, you don't have to temper it.

What's the point of making the crayons out of chocolate when you just put the non edible wrapper on them?? You might as well just use the regular crayons since you can't eat either crayon and they're already non toxic for anything that touches the cake
However the non edible wrapper is from Crayon (ie: Its Wrapped around original crayon colouring which is probably the WAX) And the Crayon box is also where the wax crayon is placed. so the edible crayon also turned to toxic. Not safe to peel off nd eat.

Super cute idea for the edible crayons, but the wrappers I wouldn't use them because the insides of the wrappers have the chemicals from the crayons.

if you put the crayons in the freezer the paper can be removed without cuting it :)

You can pinch the icing bag lower down, closer to the tip (and twist so the icing stays in the bag) so you don't have to squeeze as hard.
