Unfortunately Dixie River isn't open to the public yet, and the land owners are dragging their feet on building the parking lot they promised by the end of the month. This place is incredible and there are plans for close to 30+ miles of singletrack when the project is complete.
@@mattz28si I'm not sure at this point. There hasn't been any progress in the last month and 1/2 on the lot. It may be early spring now but I hope they get it done before then. The two hurricanes that hit us didn't help and probably pushed back the original plan.
I live pretty close to these for a summer internship, would trailbuilders be upset if the trails were rode before officially opening? I would just ride from my place
I use Garmin Virb Edit to add the telemetry data to video. It allows you to upload the GPX file from Strava directly to the video to add the overlays. I think GoPro Quik has a similar feature but I couldn't get it to work as well as the Garmin program, so I use it instead. I still don't have it completely figured out because I originally had the elevation profile in my video but when I exported it, it disappeared so I took that out and exported it a 2nd time.
I don't live in Charlotte anymore so I am no longer in the loop in regards to the tentative opening date. I think they are aiming for summer 2020 but you should ask someone who is currently in the Tarheel Trailblazers.
These are the Dixie River trails in Charlotte, North Carolina. They are still not currently open to the public but should be in the near future. I no longer live in Charlotte so I'm not in the loop with the Tarheel Trailblazers who build and maintain the local trails there. The trails are off Dixie River Road between Sadler and Lynn Parker Road. The entrance is a gravel road with a locked gate about 20 feet from the road.
Man this looks awesome. I've been up there to ride Sherman Branch, USNWC and LNSP. Definitely have to check this out next time I'm in the area.

Gotcha, any idea when it will open to the public, realistically? I just got back from an 8 day Asheville trip so I can probably wait a bit lol.
