From moorsville looking to get in to this and was on the fence until I heard tool
Love Fire Mountain...I can't wait to get back up there. Thanks for sharing...really enjoyed the video and the music.
Still have my donut sticker
At precisely 6:12, that guy shat himself. Literally. I did the work to verify.
Good video 🎉
Woulda a specialized fuse (hard tail, 140mm travel forks) be ok on a trail like this or do you pretty much need a full suspension bike
I rode opening day on my 120mm Ibis DV9 hardtail. It was nice on the climbs and had no issues on the DH but my Enduro would have been better on the way down. It was 95 degrees that day and I wanted to get as many laps in as I could so I chose to ride the HT.
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 ty for the reply! Exuse my lack of knowledge but why were u able to get more laps in on the hardtail? Faster at climbing?
@@SlimPickens90 My carbon hardtail is about 8 pounds lighter than my full suspension so it is much easier to pedal uphill as well as being more efficient. The hot weather was also a major factor in my decision.
Great camera views. Very nice!
Cool video, Trails look rad! Just came across this from searching a Pinkbike article for stuff in the Charlotte region. Going to be moving out that way here within a year, how's the riding scene?
Hey man, (Did you have different cameras set up on that trail?)
I always put the camera information in the video description. I used 3 cameras to shoot this video.
Great video. Riding here tommorow!.
At 2:27 I thought you were going to eat it. Nice run. Hope to be skilled enough this year for Cupp Run.
I grew up riding out West at real ski resorts. Lower East Coast riding is fun but not very challenging. Snowshoe is great but not at all difficult for my skill level.
Vinnie... i want a sticker. Or a stem cap. I'll buy you a beer. Or bring you one.
is the parking lot open now ?
Yeah, there is a small parking lot that is finished and Airline Bike Park has been open on weekends and some weekdays for almost 2 months now.
I've seen you there somany times you are a awesome rider hope I can see you again.
Man, that place looks fun!
The trail looks great now! Love the prem.
The Dialed Dirt crew did a fantastic job on the resurfacing. The trail is so much fun now.
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 I watched this again and notice some changes. Did they add a gap jump option? I'm finally back to where I can ride again and I want to hit that trail. Do they close that trail during the winter?
Looks Awesome Vinnie!
That over shoot tho 😂
Yeah, I have never overshot before on that section of jumps. But I also never cleared the weird step-up right after the S berms so that may have had something to do with it. 🤣
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 the re-work it’s a huge improvement (been to Bakers only 3 times). That weird step up with the tight left turn berm is a killer for me. Last time I visited I managed to land it correctly twice (after the re-work), but previously I had been overshooting it and landing on the trees 🌳.
@@pjsanab My advice is to just keep practicing and each lap you take you will learn the lines and get better and faster. It took me about a full month after I moved to Knoxville before I was confident and clearing all the jumps on this run.
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 thank you for the feedback. I feel so much better now.
This was tied for my fastest run down Barn Burner in 83 attempts (97th overall). The Dialed Dirt crew did a fantastic job and the trail is running better than ever!
Hey digging the fork mount camera. Is that a session for full size GoPro? What fork mount is that? Keep it up!
I use the Hero9 w/ the Max Lens Mod mounted with the roll cage mount for that shot. I started trying this shot when the Hero7 first came out, but the stabilization just wasn't good enough to use but the Hero8 and the 9 w/ the MLM do a great job.
Nice video! I love Fire Mountain. Haven’t hit everything on Skilly, but working on it.
Skilly can definitely be intimidating at first glance, but its really well made and has good flow. There are not many trail systems in the southeast that have 4+ foot drops on it, but it is a ton of fun once you get the lines dialed.
your the best keep up the contant
While researching this trail and finding this video I see that AC/DC is on private property. I'm glad I didn't just go ride it. Are other trails around Knoxville on private property and are there points of contact that we can reach out to regarding getting permission to ride them?
These trails are on private land but the city has an agreement with the owner, so anyone is free to ride these trails. The dirt jumps on Brian Hann's propetry are private and you need to reach out to him for permission to ride them. AC⚡DC is fair game for all.
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 Thanks for the quick reply and explanation!
Killer variety of shots. I’ll have to check out these trails next time I’m in the area! New sub here.
I appreciate the sub. Next Sender Session is next Sunday (8/29) if you are in town. 🤙
Hey vinnie I’m the kid you met at bakers I love your videos
The jump into the berm at 6:03 has caught me out too
Separated my AC in that spot back in October
That was my first time crashing on Devil's, I picked a bad line and tried to correct on the landing which didn't work out. I'm amazed that I didn't get hurt but my Wahoo was toast after that crash.
Quality stuff
What is normally the preferred route to climb to the top? The trail that goes up or the gravel road.
The shortest route up is Pappi's Way which is the gravel road but it is fairly steep in places. Most people climb Best Medicine since the grade is easier and its completely shaded.
5:33 is where me and a few others had a good train, thx mna
Hi
THX man i might go there tmrw
Fire Mountain is such a fun trail system. Always worth the drive.
Hey Man, have you ever Mountain Biked at Haw Ridge in Oakridge, TN before?
I was just there on Thursday for a CVTA group ride. It was my first time riding there. Good times, the trails are janky but technical.
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 That's cool. I've been to Haw Ridge 6 times already. The trails are hard/easy and like you said janky.
We should ride mountain bikes together
Hey Man, on Sunday March 26th is when I rode the whole entire trail of Far East for the First time!
I really enjoyed riding here. I'm not a big downhill guy so this kind of trail is what I love
Hey man on Saturday June, 12th is when I went on the Far East trail.
Hey Man, (Have you ever been on Ground Hog trail at Forks of the River before?)
I've crossed over it plenty of times on West Perimeter but I still have not ridden it. Is it even worth riding?
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 For me, I enjoy going through Ground Hog trail at Forks of the River on West Perimeter. We should ride Mountain bikes together one day or one weekend
I've actually seen this Abandoned dirt ramps on the AC/DC trails one day.
The dirt jumps are on Brain Hahn's property and AC/DC I believe is his property as well. He's an OG AMBC member and one of the reasons why we have such awesome trails here in eastern TN.
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 Are people allowed to try the dirt ramps on Brain Hahns property?
@@trailblazer5273 No, his dirt jumps are invite only. He used to do a Sunday gathering before covid, but not recently. The jumps are pretty beat up at the moment but I think there was talk of getting them running again.
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 (So No one is allowed to be on the dirt ramps at the moment, correct.) So, you heard that the owner might reopen the dirt ramps.
@@trailblazer5273 Yeah, they are not public jumps. If you know Brian I would ask him for permission, but the jumps are currently not in very good shape. They need a ton of work to get them running again.
Loyston trail is actually in Andersonville, TN. I've only been to Loyston trail only 1 time.
You are correct, technically it is in Andersonville. This was one of the first videos I made after moving to Knoxville, so I was still a bit new to the area, lol. Loyston is a great trail and a ton of fun to ride.
What if a person starts at Lost Chromosome to Chain Ring to Chicken coop to Creek Loop to Trans Farm to get to Far East Trail.
Just look for the blue Japanese Far East sign that is the thumbnail of the video. That is at the intersection of Transfarm and the start of Far East which is about 2/3rds of the way from Creek Loop to Burnett Ridge Road on Transfarm. Make sure to check out Mayor's Hot Tub on your way down Far East, the AMBC recently completed the second part of the trail which now loops back to Far East slightly farther down the main DH section. These trails are all mapped to Trailforks and MTBProject if you need further assistance finding them.
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 (What does the Blue Japanese sign mean?) I've been through the whole way of Trans Farm trail before. (I haven't been on Mayor's Hot Tub) trail yet? (I have the MTBproject App & the TrailForks App on my phone already.)
@@trailblazer5273 The sign says "Far East" in Japanese. I thought it was Chinese when I first saw the sign but after I looked it up, I realized it was in Japanese.
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 That's Really cool! (I didn't know that either.) How far is Mayor's Hot Tub from Far East Trail?
@@trailblazer5273 It's near the top of the first DH section after you pass through the two gates. I show the start of Mayor's Hot Tub on Far East in the video.
You said you ride BCP all the time. I just started ridding up there. Its nice to see the trails like this. Sticking to the greens and blues for now. New sub, hope to see you out there sometime!
I live less than 3 miles from Baker Creek so I ride the Urban Wilderness quite often. Thanks for stopping by and the sub, I hope to see you out on the trails.

Do a video of devils
I've been working on a Devil's Racetrack video for a while now. I want to give it the respect it deserves so it will take me many more filming hours to get the footage I need to make a proper video,
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 I’m excited. That’s my favorite trail ever
Good stuff, man! Can’t wait for more!
I just added a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone to my camera stable as well. My B roll footage should be a bit improved going forward. 🤘
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 awesome! It’s great to have both your riding and videography talent in the Knoxville area! Keep it up!
@@redbeardedlegend4362 Thanks brother! I'm just trying to give back to the awesome MTB community that welcomed me with open arms when I moved here to Knoxville last October.
GoPro effect can’t really be seen until you ride the stuff in person. Recently got some lessons here with a world class rider that likes to season there. It was crazy. Favorite trail I hit has to be tortuga. That was fun.
Hemlock Epoch was definitely my favorite there. It's not as steep as Windrock or Bailey Mountain but Kanuga is no joke and you surely earn those downhill laps unless you are riding an ebike, lol.
Love this bro 😎
Thanks brother! I went all out on this video. I filmed for the entire opening week over the summer to get all the footage I used in this video. Needless to say there were tons of people out there killing it. It was nice meeting you out at Baker today. I look forward to your edit of today's action.
WOW, EVEN ROCK BERMS
The craftsmanship on the rock armored berms is exquisite. The AMBC took a bit of Bentonville flavor and brought it to Knoxville.
@@thevinniebagadonuts9370 I agree it must have taken time, serious thought and plenty of rock carving to make that functional, it's amazing and thanks for the video. I am a Blue rider but might give that a shot sometime regardless, trying that might give me more incentive to ride double black
Great job
