A decade ago you'd never see anyone with money wearing watches with rubber straps and now they come on million dollar Richard Milles watches. Does that mean everyone wearing rubber strap watches is trying to look rich? Maybe they just like the look.

    It's shitty when people buy fake clothes and say it's authentic, but buying fake watches and saying it's real is another level of muppet. And Cal, sell the Hublot, garbage watch for trashy people. Go with a Rolex.

      There are some cool ones tho. Bamford being one. There are some quite nice Rolex modders as well. Again, like cars, modding usually only works when it's done by proper specialists with a very consolidated view and taste.

      There's watches that come with factory set diamonds that are much higher quality, they should rather do it that way. On his channel Nico makes a really good example where he says there's nothing wrong with taking a fork and putting scratches all over your Lamborghini if you like it that way because it's your car, but that doesn't mean people aren't gonna call you out for doing something like that.

      @@yo-sefakimbey7009 The problem is not putting the diamonds in the watch. It's claiming that the value of your watch has increased because of you putting aftermarket diamonds in it. That's not true and that's what Nico is calling them out for.

    I dont get it whats the problem w icing a watch you buy a watch u want it to look better so u pay it to be iced for your satisfaction dosent really mean your tryna show u got money talking about cars u buy a car its nice its your taste then u remap it you tune it to your liking now it looks better goes better dosent even mean its worth more jus don't see the issuie if u like it u like it thats for you talking about factorty set.       the problem he has with it is that because he is a big watch entusiast , and these people literally ruin the watches with aftermarket stuff , it it gets rid of the nice watch there was behind it , the watches the rappers have are so nice that the little worthless dust diamonds they put on them just ruins a perfectly engineered machine , its like buying a ferrari and putting 30 inch rims on it with a big dollar sign in the middle

    Totally agree Nico. But here's the thing. Rolex, AP and Patek make all diamond watches. So if someone wants the same watch but doesn't want to pay a million dollars in the case of AP and Patek what's the problem. It's still going to be the same diamonds. But they paid 100k instead of a million.

      @@Keysade each diamond that is good enough for jewelers like patek, rolex, ap, they all have their own certificate for each diamond, my uncle is a jeweler that deal primarily with diamond, you can walk into your nearest costco and they will provide you the certificate of their diamond. Period

    I think the analogy of modifying cars and icing out watches is just wrong and misses the point. These are two very very different cultures and approaches to these hobbies. One is of prestige and “flex”, the other is of enjoying yourself and loving the process and end result. There is nothing wrong with an enthusiast to work on their car and modify it and then go and meet other like minded people. You’d be surprised at the caliber it can and does reach. From your Volkswagen polo to Ferrari’s which have been stripped and modified beyond imagination. And that’s fucking “class”.
