    Sup man!! Just stumbled upon your channel and I love the content as I’m new to KB training!! I have a question though, do you know any kettlebell exercises that’ll strengthen my punches and especially my kicks? I train Muay Thai and am trying to do some functional training for it. Thanks!!

    • @Cavemantraining
      @Cavemantraining  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man. I'd say Snatches, Squat Thrusters, Fast Chest presses, etc. Look up WBKC, keep the weight light enough to remain explosive and low reps with plenty of rest.

      Depends on how you use the workout as drop set or with the same weight. Also depends on your strength. I used 2 x 22kg in this video and used the same weight throughout, I regularly do this workout, and sometimes I use it as drop set in which case I use 32kg, 28kg, and 24kg. hope that helps.

    As a Woman and thinking of doing kettlebells what's the best weight to start with please?

    • @Cavemantraining
      @Cavemantraining  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, sex doesn't matter. Just comes down to what you want to do with the kettlebell and how strong you are. Hard to say without knowing you. If you know how to swing or press, try to find a weight that challenges you enough with both exercises while maintaining form and technique. If you want a guess, I'd say 12kg.

    Hey taco. How do you treat elbow pain?

    • @Cavemantraining
      @Cavemantraining  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rest. The elbow is a joint, but I assume you are having trouble with the tendons near the elbow. You need to fix your technique for cleans, swings, and/or snatches. Hard to say exactly without seeing and hearing more. Join our groups and post. This is not something to play around with either.

  • @djevlhelvete

    I'm a bit confused: Aren't 'pushing' and 'pressing' the same thing? So, based on that logic, shouldn't the 4 big movements be pull/push(press)/squat/hinge? Thanks!

    • @Cavemantraining
      @Cavemantraining  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Pushing is pushing yourself away, pressing is pressing something away from you. In this case the pushing works the chest and the press the shoulders. Full details in the book www.cavemantraining.com/shop/ebook/kettlebell-workouts-and-challenges/ also on Amazon amzn.to/2JMAmv3

    Your videos are excellent. I am wondering are kettlebells your primary exercise tool? Or do you do crossfit wod's several days a week? I'm a skinny guy and am trying to add a little muscle to my frame.

    • @Cavemantraining
      @Cavemantraining  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Kettlebells are my primary tool, I do partake in some crossfit several times a week. If you want muscle quick, just lift slow, lift heavy (within your reach), progress, work all angles. I'm not to worried about aesthetics, I just care about movement.

    I need some help! I am 30 year old, 75 kg. Bodyweight training and marțial arts background. I started training kettlebells 3 years ago... With 12 kg kettlebells. I advanced to 1 20 kg...then 2 20 kg kb. Recently as my strenght increased, I wanted to advance to a 28.... Competițional style kettlebell. I couldn t find it at the moment so, I 've baught a 32. The problem îs I can' t train properly with it. I can only do 1 clean and press... 2 handed swings , one leg deadlifts, bent over rows. I want to do more balistic movements. How can I increased my strenght and ability to train with The 32 faster? Using just The equipement i have : bands, 2 /12 kg kb's, 2 /20 kg kb's, 2 /6kg kb's, a pullup bar. Please excluse my english.... I am from another country.

      hi, a simple answer is really not possible. The most basic answer would be to stick with the lower weight and increase reps. give the higher weight a go a few times a week for just one rep here or there, and keep increasing. that's the basic answer.

    • @aquariussharpblade2455
      @aquariussharpblade2455 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Cavemantraining thank you! I can clean The 32 for 3 rept and swing it about 15 times... I struggle with presing it.... All o want îs to advanced without injuries. I need a rutine that will temper my progresion. I train well with one 20 kg... Even two of them... But, not high reps. I have a bad tendency to cheat my progresion.

    do you build your body using kettlebell only?

    • @Cavemantraining
      @Cavemantraining  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      pretty much. pull ups for the lats, include push-ups and some other calisthenics.

    • @randyreno7118
      @randyreno7118 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would bent over rows substitute for lats?

    • @Cavemantraining
      @Cavemantraining  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      IMHO Not really, you'd be better of doing the plank with the right muscles activated. If you want something with kettlebells to work the lats, have a look at the Bent Press. When done 'right' it also works the lats.
