I was at this concert in SF in March, and though the entire set was outstanding, this was the most magical moment of the night. MM is my favorite game of all time, and I am so happy they included this as their encore. I love the Zelda fandom, and I think that no matter our favorite game, or how long we have been playing, or our skill at it, we are ALL Zelda fans. Isn't that something that should bring us closer instead of divide us? Enough elitism.
I'll be attending this event on Oct. 12. Could not be more excited about it, Will probably be in tears the whole time. Haha. But it's just so beautiful!
(1/2)It's totally okay! I went to the one in San Francisco on June 10th, and it was more oriented with the Second Quest playlist, which had the overture, Link's Awakening medley, Spirit Tracks medley, the Creation Story Interlude, the 4 actual symphonic movements, then this Majora's Mask medley, Gerudo Valley, Dragon Roost Island, and a Ballad of the Goddess/gorgeous Fi's Farewell piece. I loved every part of the SF concert, I just personally wished in that one they had included the Song of
I nearly peed myself when they announced this at the Mann last night. I'm glad that this audience was more subdued than ours. They kept cheering throughout the song.
c'etait vraiment trop malade!!! une foule de fan's en delire! le groupe d'age etait pas mal de 20-30 ans! haha! addict to Zelda et je l'assume! je suis accro!
I was front row at this concert. I ended up selling my spare ticket to the cousin of the conductor. Then I got to go back stage and meet her after the show. And then the next tour, I was a regular part of the choir. This was a fun song to sing. I actually have a recording of this concert. I just wish the clicking sounds weren't so loud as I need a good sample to fix the audio in mine. Some asshole was talking.
A special orchestration to one of the most under appreciated Zelda titles to date: Majora's Mask!!! -,- It's the most over appreciated of the Zelda titles!
After seeing how much of a good reaction they got from doing the GCN era music (WW / TP) they went for the N64 era. Good choice. Though Majora's Mask didn't really have much of an original soundtrack. Just reused a lot of Ocarina of Time songs. Still, what little original songs they have in Majora's Mask are pretty descent.
its only a third as long as the other suites in the concert, unfortunately. I personally really enjoy the music from Majora's Mask, almost my favorite score in any Zelda game.
despite the amount of dislikes you received, i agree with you, i thought they would play song of healing, last hours, stone tower, mayor's theme, i don't know, there are so many...
(2/2) Healing. However, I have looked up a lot of videos (to try and recreate the magic for my poor geeky mind) and know the Song of Hero medley you are talking about. Just personally, in the concert I attended they didn't include that one, nor the Dungeon Medley, Kakariko Village, or Ballad of the Windfish because the Link's Awakening medley took care of that. I enjoyed the Second Quest a little bit better though then the original because I personally found the ST medley absolutely superb.
This movement was so short because Majora's Mask didn't have very much interesting original music, if much at all really. When you think about it, Majora's Mask is the most popular Zelda game in the Western countries, not the whole world. So, its not like they had to go too much out of their way to make a movement for a side-Zelda game. XD
I still feel like that they could have done better. I think she spent too much time focusing on majora and not the people of termina the story is so much darker I don't think 6 minutes did the game justice. They could have include termina field, gerudo fortress, stone tower temple, deku palace, new wave bossa nova, gorons lullaby and the song of healing
This.... sucked in comparison to the other medleys. It didn't use many recognizable Majora's Mask songs, it was largely fluff which is sad considering how good the TP and WW ones were. I've heard a guitar medley that was fantastic and much longer than this. They should have included stone temple tower, done the multiple versions of the song of time all together and given more emphasis to the ocarina songs. a lot of this was really low and used less memorable songs, forgot I was listening to any Zelda songs.
I'm sorely disappointed in the Majoras Mask piece. There's so many great songs from that game and they pretty much used 4. No stone tower temple, no song of healing, no Majoras theme. What gives?
I almost left until Zelda came back out to show us this. I was so happy. MM is my favorite game ever!

When they did this in Chicago 4 nights ago, I was BEYOND excited. By far my favorite piece.
YES! I just saw this in Denver. The whole concert hall burst into applause when she announced this.... SO COOL!
I love how when the clocktown music starts, you hear him go "yeeeyyy"
I'll be attending this event on Oct. 12.
Could not be more excited about it,
Will probably be in tears the whole time.
Haha.
But it's just so beautiful!
Just saw this live a couple of nights ago, but ughhh all of the goosebumps. So good.
The song of healing especially! I was amazed that when I saw it in Sydney it wasnt played...

Dude, if they included EVERY song from zelda, you'd be in there for DAYS
Just two more days...I'm super pumped to see them live!
I nearly peed myself when they announced this at the Mann last night. I'm glad that this audience was more subdued than ours. They kept cheering throughout the song.
Thank you so much for posting this. ^^ Made my morning
It's absolutely amazing! I can't wait to see it again!! :)
ME TOO! IM GOING TOMORROW! IM SOOOO EXCITED
I thought it was above average, but not too far above it. Majora's Mask was what REALLY impressed me.
God I loved how the evil crept at the dawn of the final day.
c'etait vraiment trop malade!!! une foule de fan's en delire! le groupe d'age etait pas mal de 20-30 ans! haha! addict to Zelda et je l'assume! je suis accro!
I was there and I am seeing it again in San Jose!!!

Yeah, I was totally expecting Majora's theme to play after Clock Town's theme, like the title theme did.
I'll be seeing this show next week in Phoenix :D
Short, but Epic!!!

I wish that the song of healing was in this. That could have been the only thing to really complete the Symphony fully.
yea it's a pretty epic theme, look it up. ZREO did an awesome job arranging it.
@elfrijoleroMang
That's because it was an encore piece, not one of the main four.
It's fantastic! =D
Man this game was so good, it had everything!!!! ...or rather... has (I still have my N64 :P) And needless to say the music is Epic :)
its only a third as long as the other suites in the concert, unfortunately. I personally really enjoy the music from Majora's Mask, almost my favorite score in any Zelda game.
I remember you! A couple of my buddies ran off to get a picture.
I mean Im literally the fi from that concert, who was on camera, recognized by the conductor, etc.
despite the amount of dislikes you received, i agree with you, i thought they would play song of healing, last hours, stone tower, mayor's theme, i don't know, there are so many...
So looking forward to screaming out, "THAT'S MY BOYFRIEND ON THE SCREEN!" in a few days. Muahhahaha.
Same here! :D
The pirates in Great Bay
I was the good Fi there. I loved it.
I was there and it was cool
I'm going to the Toronto 1!!
Song of Healing was played earlier
No Song of Healing or Stone Tower Temple? Those are possibly the best tracks in this game.
1:25 "Yeaaah..." xD
Pure awesome. That's what this is. :D I wish I could have been there. :(
they didn't play it at chicago either. Everyone was waiting for it cause they were teasing it but then they were like LOL JK ballad of the windfish
@chrismorales ME TOO! WORTH SEEIN' TWICE! *highfive*
Please, if you have vids of the rest of the concert, upload them. Anything else I've found so far has been difficult to watch.

Gutted the stone tower wasn't included
majora's mask was a great game, OoT was very good as well but my favorite was a link to the past and the adventures of link
I'd link to the pictures we took, but apparently it won't let me.
It was in the Ocarina Tunes symphony.
Im wondering where all the pictures went XD.
Yes, Majora's Mask was on the N64.
No Stone Tower Temple :(
Gerudo fortess in Majora's Mask?
Got good halfway through. Can't believe they seriously didn't use Song of Healing. That's like not using the Song of Time in an OoT compilation. Huh.
This movement was so short because Majora's Mask didn't have very much interesting original music, if much at all really. Ha, I saw you!
Yes, I did.
2:55 Suddenly Star Wars.
Will they release a CD/DVD or something?
hopefully. I'll probably never see this :(
that would be legen wait for ti... DARY!
I know, I started it and I'm in the 1st temple :)
its fine at it is
I was Link. The one with the real Master Sword and the earrings, NOT the one with Fi.
it be nice for them to play the zora band music
My favorite LoZ game is ALttP but MM is a close 2nd.
what, no song of healing? :/
Nice, you guys got 3 encores too? :P
I don't know, I don't played the game...not yet
the graphics are not of the 64... or am I wrong?
Yes. They were pirates. Not Gerudos.
i never played majorss mask as a kid, and now thta i have it in my wii as an adult, i cant solve the puzzles and sadly it is not as magical as OoT

Nintendo supplied the footage, that is all I know.
you say that like it's a problem.
omg the bass trombone is having a bad trip... 3:33 I liked montreal's verison better!
well that was awfully minimalist
well i mean u dont have to like every game, everybody has their own opinion, like i love all the games except for links awakening and spirit tracks.
vraiment trop malade j'ai trop hate de la representation de montreal!

I think that the OoT is overrated, i don't like it. MM was better in my opinion xD
