Here's ten minutes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) basically bullying Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews). From Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the NBC series revolving around Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), a New York City Police Department (NYPD) detective in Brooklyn's fictional 99th Precinct, who often comes into conflict with his commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). The series also stars Terry Crews as Sargeant Terry Jeffords, Melissa Fumero as Amy Santiago, Stephanie Beatriz as Rosa Diaz, Chelsea Peretti as Gina Linetti and Joe Lo Truglio as Charles Boyle.

Terry truly brought out the psychotic in Holt
Knowing Holt the reason he seems to be harder on him is bc he has high expectations and wants terry to fulfill his potential to by going all the way to captain and so he’s pushing him on a way that Terry being the emotional stable one of the squad can take better then the others. Also bc it’s fun to mess with Terry

Captain Holt's relationship with Sergeant Terry is based on the old-school hard-nosed head coach with a star athlete. similar to the Green Bay Packers of the 60s Vince Lombardi and Bart Starr. This is a big contrast to Captain Holt's other relationships with his staff. Which is similar to a father figure to his younger staff.
It also helps they are closer in age
With Rosa, its like a friend and a child all at once bec they vibe well plus the shared lgbt communal experience
Holt's relationship with each of his employees/coworkers is so uniquely beautiful

I think you missed the one where Captain Holt asked for a little favoritism as a uniformed officer to Terry and Terry replied something along the lines of "I don't remember you playing favorites when you were a captain. Holt then said he did and Terry confused said "really? I never got any" and Holt said something along the lines of "I believe that speaks for itself" 😂 😭

I don’t think y’all know what low key means. Ain’t nothing low key about this 😂 this is BLATANT
One of the few criticisms I have of the show is that after the Moo Moo episode, he never showed up in A plots, just B and C’s.
I think that was more because his whole storyline is pretty much established and doesn’t change much in the show, whereas Jake for example has a lot of growth to make for A plots
