Are competitors allowed to use the no-spin and/or half-spin throws? Are the number of rotations part of the contest? -as you mentioned you prefer standing at about 16’ for you to get n the 2 rotations. If this is a rotational throwing contest, can other divisions be created for no-spin, half-spin, and military half-spin throwing?
Everything in the US has become about being safe and regulated to death. All that safety has created a situation that is completely stifling and keeps out all the excellent throwers from other countries because they will refuse to use those ridiculous knifes and be stifled by those regulations. I have watched quite a few competitions from Europe. Most of them are outdoors and give enough safety space for spectators. I have not heard or seen anybody getting killed or injured. People usually know to stay out of throwing range. The throwers are world class and they use the knifes that work for them. Sorry dude but this is not world championship. I guess I sound like an asshole, you just abide by the parameters given to you. I guess you do your best. I just find this frustrating.
Why not just have smaller holes in the fencing to stop the knives passing through?

Is that knife live edge? And where are facilities that allow knife throwing?
Where's the directions to build a board
