Really nice videos for Tainted Grail and I agree and appreciate your comments on the difference between painting gaming minis vs. display minis. I've done lots of both and continually have to tell myself "This is just a gaming piece..." and do good work but not obsess over them. They really do look great on the gaming table from normal viewing distance; sometimes hard to remember when painting under magnification and strong light where everything looks so much more blocky.
Thanks Steve, glad you agree! We see many close up, perfectly lit examples of paint jobs on minis that we forget the circumstances in which we actually see them most of the time.
Every time I watch your painting videos, I feel a sense of hope. One day I'll stop paralyzing myself with the desire to paint everything to display standard and just speed them out like you do.
Thanks Curtis, that's great to hear. I don't want to make tutorials about spending days on just one mini, I want to show people how fast, 'good enough' results are much better than unpainted minis. :) One day I could go back and improve the paintjobs a bit - but the thing is, I never feel the need to!
@@EsotericOrderGamers that is a shame, i would have liked to see your take on the colour schemes. I have been using ideas from the Tainted grail heroes to paint the bow maiden.
To be honest, I very rarely come up with original colour schemes - I copy existing paint schemes from the 'official' paint jobs, or other painters' work, or follow the illustrations. Coming up with original paint schemes is not something I enjoy!

I love your pragmatic approach to painting miniatures
Thankyou!

Great job as always and know the feeling of a new kickstarter coming in. Starting on the long road with painting up all of the Okko Chronicle range :)
I've been working on those for some time too! :)
Very effective Peter,well done.
Thanks mate!
Really found these to be very helpful, thank you so much. Still a way to go but at least i am on the path, got Oathsworn to paint next
I'm looking forward to that one too. Glad you found these useful.
@@EsotericOrderGamers Do you think you will be doing videos for the Oathsworn Hero’s?
I'm not really doing painting tutorials very much anymore, but I'm sure you can use the techniques in any of my existing videos to get good results!
