I just went through and learned Mr. Suttons solo on this and thought I was really doing something, then I heard all the fills he's doing in the rhythm, not to mention the chords he's adding as accents to the chord structure of the song, Dammit! I'm back at square one, lol.... Brian has a syncopation and ear for adding accent chords to the melody like his hero Maestro Tony Rice and I am only too happy about being back on the first layer of this onion that is Brian Sutton. Cheers
I really like this video, the way they mixed the candid shots from concerts and recording along with pre concert set up. Get to see the guys doing their thing for real.
Is this the perfect contemporary Bluegrass tune/performance/video? For my taste, yes. **therealdiehl I really like this video, the way they mixed the candid shots from concerts and recording along with pre concert set up. Addendum: I love the emphasis that they're all feeling on '2' and '4,' as an opposition to the rock-solid bass player on '1' and '3...' To "swing," you have to swing against something... ...and this is Bluegrass that SWINGS.
Tim O’Brien is a musical genius. I assume he wrote this? Didn’t know it existed until recently. R.I.P. “Frank” . Mr. Sutton is Fillin’ , and killin’ . You would be proud ❤️

Why doesn’t this song have 119 million views?
Well I think I've heard this song about a million times myself! (Hahahaha)
Love listening to these guys and have since I first heard them in Boulder about 1979 or 80.
I love this song.
Bluegrass is certainly evolving yet retaining its soul.
Great song by Tim and the group. I had not heard anything from them for years and now this Gem. Fantastic
Just an amazing group of crafted musicians. Great 👍
Can't get enough!

Wow good stuff. I'm a fan.
Bryan Sutton is one of the best living bluegrass guitarists. People are rightly impressed by Charlie Sawtelle, but Bryan more than holds his own.
Awesome!
Love the song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great Talent here thanks

I'm still having trouble with 2 and 4. Any advice?
Saw them in Boulder last month, awesome show!
+ulnot Same at Grey Fox, with separate show for Red Knuckles- so wild, almost damaged a tent.
These gentlemen are the best contemporary Blue Grass group I've heard in many years; both vocally and instrumentally.
These gents are a national treasure.
...and have been around since the early 1980's.
